A time to reflect ( Open)

"I, uh... i-it's okay!" Cassandra stammered. Despite Toshiro saying it was okay, the girl didn't wish to cause any more stress for the poor fox. "I-I'll save you the trouble!" She continued, once again a bit louder than she intended. Quickly, she scurried to the door, if only to pause and quietly mouth a "hope you feel better" to the kitsune. She then cast a quick glance at the strange girl beside him, nodding briefly to her before swiftly shuffling herself out the door.

"...Uh."

Cassandra found herself face to face with her brother as she shut the door behind her. Even the normally stoic man had a look of awkward surprise on his face.

"Omega!" Cassandra's smile was as forced as her exclamation. Anyone else would think her frantic mannerisms meant she was trying to hide something, but her brother knew better - it just meant she needed to return to her isolated comfort zone. His expression relaxed as he took a step back, creating space between them.

"...I take it that you are ready to return home." It sounded flat and stoic, but Cassandra recognized there was a certain warmth of concern behind his words.

"...Uh, erm..." She fidgeted, looking down for a moment. Her answer was small and soft. "...Y-yeah."

"...All right." He responded, turning to make his leave, but not before sparing the safe room door another glance. It seemed he was about to open his mouth to ask something, but simply shook his head and let it be. "Come on, now," he encouraged his sister to follow. As they passed Kaleo and Kaede, Omega gave a simple nod to the detective before the two made their way out.

Normally Omega knew his sister needed silence, but he could feel the tenseness of her anxiety in the air as they exited the station.

"...I'm sure you've figured it out already," he spoke up, hoping to calm her down a bit. "But the guys they brought in... weren't the ones that attacked you."

Cassandra hesitated before answering. "...O-oh! That's good..." Honestly, she had almost forgotten about that; whatever had happened with Toshiro was at the forefront of her thoughts. At least that was one weight off of her mind.

But it did raise another question.

"Wait, but... then who were they?"

Omega paused, then shook his head.

"...Just a random bunch of ragtag idiots."

Kaleo stood there as she watched Cassandra come out of the room and speak with her brother. WHen the two of them started to leave Kaleo nodded back to Omega offering a smile, she then walked over to the door of the safe room and started to raise her hand to knock when she paused, " Best to leave him be... No need to worry about him he is with someone who can keep him safe." spoke a voice only Kaleo could hear. The Voice said a few more things before going silent. Kaleo smiled and nodded as her arm went back down to her side. So something had happened but the Mayor wished to keep it secret. Well no need to stress the poor boy anymore then he already was. "Toshiro, I am leaving now. You and your new friend take care ok? Also the young men I was questioning where not the ones who attacked you in the park." Kaleo said as she then started to walk away. " Come Kaede, lets go." Kaleo said with a smile.




Esme blinked when Kaleo said new friend, " How did she know I was here??" Esme said in shock. So was she really a psychic medium as she calmed? Or was there something else going on here..

Toshiro blinked as Kaleo spoke through the door, so the wrong people had been brought in.. So that meant the thugs that attacked them where still out on the streets.. agh he just wanted to go home now. Esme reached out placing a hand on Toshiro's shoulder, " Are you ok?" She asked with concern. Toshiro shook his head, "No... I'm not.. I.. I want to go home.." He said in a tired voice. Esme nodded, " I can teleport you home then." Esme offered, the young mayor just nodded. Esme then said a magic word and in a instant Toshiro found himself standing outside his house. Esme stood there next to him and watched as he went inside. The mage nodded and cast a spell to turn invisible again, she would stay for a little while then make her way back to Sophie and Tessa later after she was sure Toshiro was safe.


Toshiro made his way to his room where he would lay down on his bed and pass out and sleep for the rest of the day and night, but as he slept he transformed into his fox form. Something that happened to Kitsunes when they overly exhausted themselves.

"hmm?", Kaede thought Kaleo was going to enter the room before her but seeing her it looked like she changed her mind. Maybe she didn't want to bother them? Either way kaede was ready to leave and responded "yeah, yeah, I hear ya." As they left the station, Kaede still wondered about Marunn and his cronies. They were still out there somewhere and she had made up her mind on trying to find them and make them pay for the trouble they caused, but she needed an answer on how to approach Marunn in a fight. For now she would have to think about it another time, it had been a long day ever since her lunch break had happened. The only other thing she could think of was to also try to find Omega and Torshiro and she if she could get them to help her settle the score with Marunn and that would probably would have to be the only thing she would have to do to get anywhere.
