Neila came to a stop for a moment as she then listened to what was going on, so it seemed they where still coming after her though one of them seemed to have foolishly went through her firewall without even trying to put it out. "Heh idiot..." Neila said to herself. Ok so now it really was a game of cat and mouse.. And as normal she was the mouse that had to out smart the cats. Something she was very used to at this point, Neila then kept moving this time as silently as she could, but did not slow down one bit. "Sheesh the way these guys are going at it you would think I robbed a bank or something..." Neila thought as she kept going. At this point it may be best to drop the rest of the credit cards but keep the cash she had been able to steal. So one by one she started to toss the other credit cards into alleyways she passed but did not go down. In hopes of confusing her chasers even more. Nothing like using the red herring strategy to throw people off, Neila just hoped they would fall for it.

Twice, Izzack had fallen for Neila's little trick. Two times, he wasted time by going down the wrong alley, but two times would be it. Neila wasn't the only person who knew these alleys like the back of their hand. She wasn't the only one who fled through this maze between buildings, feeling that nothing but violence waited behind. As such, he stopped just following where credit cards had been left, and started choosing the most optimal path he could discern to escape. His hand still pulsed with angry heat, and his pant legs still felt as if they were aflame, but he kept going forward. If not for Cardinal, for himself. If not for himself, then for the owners of the buildings that this woman could very well have endangered by igniting such a fire right in between them. He kept those thoughts in his mind as he kept up his chase. Ever forward, though it hurt.

Cardinal grunted, coming to another dead end. Though he managed to collect more of the stolen cards, Izzack's erratic trail had led him astray. He wasn't as savvy as the other two when it came to navigating the alleys. He had only moved here a month ago, and even then, he thought it to be temporary. For how long, he wasn't sure, but he never expected to find himself here. This was not helped by the fact that he was old and dressed fancy - it was just asking for trouble. It made him seem like an easy target to mug, but then he would have to retaliate with lightning magic, and then he'd have to deal with the children down the lane spreading rumors about him being a Sith Lord or something... Though, considering the nature of Aster City, his actions would probably be dismissed as unimpressive or go unnoticed all together. He kept forgetting that. It was hard to change old habits.
The man sighed as he stood there, taking a moment to catch his breath. The magical energy signature seemed to be all over the place... What were they doing? He couldn't follow them like this. Holding a closed hand up, he glanced around furtively. He then motioned it forward as if he were casting sand before him, hoping the magical concentration would better illuminate the signature. He frowned, studying the energy left behind. A quick examination revealed which path appeared to be the most recently used one. With a nod and a deep breath, Cardinal forced himself into another jog.

After a while Neila then exited the maze of alleyways. "Please let this be the end of it... I really don't want to play this game all day..." Neila grumbled a bit as she put her hands in her pockets and started to walk on the side walk. Not even bothering trying to pickpocket people, seeing as last time she did she got caught. So it was best to lay low for a while. As she walked Neila kept checking over her shoulder, she could not shake the feeling those two guys may still be looking for her and in the off chance they would be able to get out of the alleyway maze she did not want be caught unaware. "This is going to be one long day I just know it...." Neila said as she sighed and shook her head. "Though I do have to say this is the first time I have been chased by wanna be hero's.. Normally I have to outsmart the cops." Neila mused to herself as once again she looked back over her shoulder.

"You." Izzack's voice seemed more animal than human as he growled after Neila, "You are going to apologize for what you have done." his words seemed to be at odds with his attitude, as he stood, menacingly, at the exit that the woman had taken back to the streets.
"For stealing from Mr. Blackmoore. For setting a fire that could very well have burnt down homes. For running away. For mocking me. I expect an apology from you, and I've come to collect." once again, he chanted, only this time, there were no little tricks. No distractions in flashing scythes. Just pure casting. He didn't care who saw him, or what they thought. He only cared about teaching this girl a lesson. With a raising of his hand, the nearest escape routes Izzack could see were blocked off by rock walls raising from the ground.
Truth be told, performing such a feat for every exit he could locate took quite a hit from his stamina, but he stood strong. Hopefully this girl would get scared. Hopefully he didn't actually have to fight. He was hurt, and he was tired, and it wouldn't take much of an offensive to topple him. Still, he was too mad to let the girl go.

"...Hrm." Cardinal stopped as he felt the magical surge. It was definitely the same one he felt from Izzack earlier... He looked around, furrowing his brow as he focused on locating the source. "...There." He clutched his book with a single hand, holding it ready as he jogged towards the concentration of magical energy.
He finally turned the corner, ending up on the path that lead to exit that the others had taken. Though he was on the opposite end, he could clearly make out the reaper in the distance. His hood was down and, even without Cardinal's ability to sense magic and the toll it was taking, he could tell from sight alone that he was straining to use whatever he had cast. Whatever was happening between those two, Cardinal knew he had to be prepared for it.

Yep it was not over, Neila came to a stop when she heard Izzy's growl and his demand for a apology. Then he used his magic to block any other possible exit, did this annoy Neila? Yes, yes it did. Was she scared? No far from it. " Temper temper hero...." Neila said with a sigh as she then turned to look at the angry reaper. Neila could tell the reaper was tired and just putting on a tough act. Neila then placed one hand on her hip as she looked at Izzy looking very unimpressed. "What... blocking exits with huge rocks supposed to scare me?" Neila said with a smirk. "I think you did a great job scaring everyone else though." Neila said as she then used her and to gesture to everyone else who had been trapped in the area in Izzy's haste to trap her.
Neila then folded her arms as she stared at Izzy. " Nah I wont give a apology... So how about you reverse the spell you casted and just let me and these nice people go... If not then... We are gonna have a problem.." Neila said trying to make Izzy look like the bad guy now. And it seemed to work as the others who where also trapped started to cast angry glares at the reaper and started to whisper among themselves.
When all this happened someone on the outside took notice, a small seemingly normal orange cat. She had felt the rumble of the rock walls as they came out of the ground. "What the?" she said as she then started to make her way to the happenings. She then came to a wall of rocks and blinked. She then backed up a bit to give herself a running start, at full speed she sprinted and then jumped up high landing on the top of the rock wall and looked at what was happening. She then saw Izzy who looked like he had been hurt and looked tired as if he had used up all his magic. "What in the world is going on here?" Sunny asked softly to herself as she decided to watch what was going on before doing anything. "Well whatever is going on seems Izzy forgot to call one of us.. That guy really needs to learn how to use the radio Yuki gave him..." Sunny mused to herself.

"They can leave," Izzack said simply, releasing the magic holding up the rock walls behind him, "but you're staying." As it was, he hadn't given all to much thought as far as how the regular citizens would react to this display of power. Truth be told, he hadn't really cared, though that might not have been the smartest of ideas. Still, what was done was done, and he had to move forward. With a deep breath, he began chanting once more. One final spell before he was tapped out. The sad fact was, he didn't have enough energy for anything but the most simple of spells, and as such, all he did was line Neila's form with multicolored, harmless lights. Faerie fire. "You are marked, woman. Tired as he was, he sounded triumphant, as if he knew something that she did not. As if there was more that had been done than a simple outlining of her form. "I can reverse the spell, but first I want you to apologize. If not..." he held up his scythe. He wasn't too good at fighting with it, and he was too exhausted to put up a proper fight, but he knew that it's blade was unnaturally sharp, and that it's point looked particularly wicked. Worst came to worst, he simply had to hold off until Mr. Cardinal could get help.

Cardinal's nose wrinkled in disdain as the woman tried to shift the blame. His eyes darted to Izzack, who he noted was at his magical limit. "...Tsk." He clicked his tongue in annoyance. The man refused to strike first, but... another moment's hesitation could bring harm to the reaper. He would have to lend him a hand. "Nigrum pennas veteris corvī..." he muttered to himself, shaking his head. "...dā mihi fortitūdinem." He dashed forward, nearing Izzack and spotting Neila. "STULTA!" He barked at her. Whatever it meant, it probably wasn't very flattering judging from how angry he sounded. "You are the one who stole from myself... as well as several others." His tone very much firm and commanding. "Rogavi blandē, fēmina..." He sighed in annoyance. Cardinal whipped his arm to the side with immaculate finesse, the book in his hand snapping open. "Sum cardinalis sanguinis..." He murmured as the tome barely levitated above his hand. "...et ēvocō potentiam veteris corvī." A red aura flared to life in his other hand, embers of magic crackling off the eerie flame. "...Hmph!" It flared up again, this time with a burst of power. Though not an attack, it released enough force into a brief gust that pushed away light debris. His cape briefly bellowed behind him before it swiftly died down. "I warned you before," he frowned, the soft glow casting rather dark shadows on his face. "It isn't wise to steal from a magician." Swiftly, he arced his arm above him, palm upwards. "Fulmen!" He had barely finished barking the word before a bolt of lighting struck where Neila stood.

Neila rolled her eyes when Izzy opened a path behind him and scared people started to go threw it. Though at least the fear in their eyes was for the reaper as they left. Once again though the reaper casted a spell and a strange light surrounded her. Neila made no real reaction she just stared at Izzy. " Marked huh.... I have been marked sense I was 13 years old.. Being marked by you is not that big of a deal. " Neila said showing no fear, she knew if she did the reaper would feel as if he won. No she was not going to give him the satisfaction. But before she could do anything else the old man from before came rushing in and he looked ticked off. He then started shouting out words she did not understand and had a feelings she did not want to.
He spoke of the thieving she had down and started start up some sort of spell. Neila had a feeling he was a magic user! Crap! Just as he sent lighting at her Neila then engolfed herself in flame and shot up another wall of flame in a attempt to block the lighting bolt and then jumped back, though as she did this she seemed to glide a bit before she landed. "Hey did I just?? Ok..." Neila said as her mind raced, she could not fight in this rock cage she had to get out. She would not last a fight with the old man who clearly was stronger with magic then the reaper. Neila then turned making a run for the wall and then jumped pushing as hard as she could and she then flew. "Whoa!!" Neila said as the on the fly idea worked and soon she was on the other side of the wall. As soon as her feet touched the ground Neila was running as fast as she could. "That worked! I did not know I could do that!" Neila said to herself as the flames on her body went away and her clothes still intact. Neila kept on running and did not bother looking back she had to get away no way was she going to get caught.
Sunny watched this and also recording as well, "Daang! That was intense! " The cat said as she then jumped off the wall and ran over to Izzy. She had a feeling things where not over but she wanted to check on Izzy. "Yo! Izzy you ok?" Sunny asked with worry in her tone.

Wait...what was happening now? Mr. Cardinal? But that didn't make any...wait what? This didn't make any sense, but so long as it helped him get an apology from this woman, he was fine with it.
Then the woman got away.
Izzack seemed stunned for a short time, shaking slightly as he realized that his work, all he had struggled to do, didn't help. The woman still got away. She got away after stealing. She got away after insulting him, insulting Mr. Cardinal. She got away scot-free. He didn't say anything. he simply stood there, growling under his breath.
Then the cat came up. Izzack couldn't remember her name right now. She was Yuki's pet, that much he knew. Had she sent the robotic cat because she knew this would happen? Was this a test? If so, he had failed spectacularly. Even now, he said nothing, made no noise except to give a grunt of frustration as he let the walls down, their purpose served.
"She got away" was the only answer Izzack gave to Sunny. With that, he started walking forward, as if to give chase once more, though it was obvious he was in no condition to fight. No sweat ran down his face, but he looked like a man deprived of sleep for much too long. Still, he made his way forward. "I'm sorry I let her get away, Mr. Blackmoore." he said to the magician, no, mage. While it was possible that Yuki had sent Sunny to see how well he could perform, he had hoped to impress the older man fist and foremost, and that is what really stung about his failure.

"...Hrmph," Cardinal grunted as the woman scurried away. Though she escaped, he couldn't help but feel a childish one-upsmanship at being able to frighten her after all her trash talk. What he did hardly did his true power any justice. "I'm sorry I let her get away, Mr. Blackmoore."The man looked to the reaper. "It's fine," he grunted, shaking the magical aura from his hand, putting it out as if it were a flame. "I appreciate the fact that you went through the trouble of helping me- ...ah." His brows lifted slightly in realization as he got a better look at Izzack's face. "So that's where I've felt that magic before..." He tilted his head somewhat. "...You were at Aegis Wing earlier with those other two, weren't you?" He looked aside thoughtfully. "So, this is what you meant by helping people, huh..." He paused for a moment, staring off into the distance before turning back to face him. "...It's fine." He repeated again. "I was hoping to catch her and bring her to Aegis for an overnight time out." he shrugged. "But this is still fine. I managed to recover some of the cards she discarded earlier. I've kept them in here," he motioned with his tome, holding it up. "...And at the very least, mine was destroyed. I can simply get another one." He glanced down at the bird on his book cover. "...I don't expect that she may have spent much with it, anyway. ...If even anything at all."

Sunny gave a slight annoyed look at being pretty much ignored, though she let it slide for now. It was clear poor Izzy was in shock so she could not get to angry with him. Sunny then sat back as the two of them spoke and she got some insight on what happened before all this started. So the girl was a thief and they where trying to get her. Though it seemed she had really gotten under Izzy's skin. Poor guy still learning how to be a proper hero. When the two finished speaking Sunny then made herself known once again. "Yo Izzy! Sorry that all this happened but you need to get yourself looked at dude, those burns do not look like fun." Sunny said she then looked over at the other man, Mr. Blackmoore. That is what Izzy called him anyway. "Hey thanks for helping Izzy Mr. Blackmoore. My name is Sunny nice to meet ya~" The robotic cat said as she introduced herself her tail swaying back and forth.

"I uh...yeah, I was with the others at Aegis Wing, yes." Izzack said, simply. He felt a little ashamed that this was the example he had just given the man for his work 'helping people', but, if he were to be honest, this was probably among the better examples of his work, new to this as he was. "Well, at least there is that. Still, I feel bad about this. If I hadn't butted in...well, with those powers, I'd doubt that she could've escaped." Again, he had to be fair with himself. There was no way that he could have known that Cardinal was more than a regular, run of the mill magician. even so, it hurt a bit.
At Sunny's--so that was her name--Prodding, Izzack's attention once again turned to his wounds. They still hurt, unsurprisingly. His legs, and his hands still felt as if they were aflame, but he noticed that they didn't look so bad. There were some blisters forming on the left hand, the one that took the most punishment as it was holding his hood shut, and was the first through the flames, but it didn't seem, well, charred, or anything like that. "I'll, uh, I'll put some ice on it when I get home." he said simply. He already felt weak enough. Running away to lick his wounds would have been the finishing blow to any credibility he felt he had as a hero. A true hero wouldn't be deterred by such simple burns, would they? No. They would stand tall and strong against any who would oppose them.

"...It's fine." Cardinal repeated a third time. "Now, I'm not quite... well versed in the sort of magic you use, but..." He looked back to Izzack. "If anything, you shouldn't push yourself." He frowned. "At least, don't push yourself too hard." The man's nose wrinkled with a sour expression, the wrinkles on his face darkening as if he recalled some sort of... bad memory. "...Trust me." It almost came off as a command rather than a suggestion. Why was that...?
"...I'll be returning these cards to Aegis Wing." He changed the subject. "If you have any concerns about this incident, or require any assistance, feel free to come to the facility." The man turned aside to leave. "...Take care of yourself."
