Neila woke up in the abandoned run down house she had claimed as her own. May be a bit drafty and leaked but it was better then staying out in the full harshness of mother nature. The young adult then made her way out as her stomach started to growl, she just smirked. " Well... Time to start getting some cash so I can get some breakfest.." The red head saisd to herself as she then made her way to the streets. She soon found a crowed of disracted people. Ether talking to friends, playing with their cell phones or just quickly trying to get to where ever they needed to go. Neila then slipped into the crowed and started to steal wallets. Though she only targeted people she knew she could steal from easily. One never got the prize from being to hasty or greedy.
After taking about four wallets Neila then left the crowd and ducked into a alleyway. She then stated to open the wallets to see her prizes. She gave a smile at what she found. "Nice a few credit cards and hmm around 500 bucks in cash all together? Nice~ This should keep me fed for a week or two. Better use the credit cards though before the owners freeze them." Neila said as she then put everything away and left the alleyway. She then walked into some restaurants using the credit cards to order some food to go. Once she got the food she left munching on her meal as she walked. " Ahhh the best kinda meal when its on someone else's tab~" Neila said with a chuckle as she thought about how to use her stolen credit cards.

"Well... I hope you enjoyed it." A low voice grunted nearby in reply.
Cardinal stood not too far from Neila. Part of his cape was draped over one arm, a thick encyclopedia clasped beneath it. He was fancifully dressed, though his eyes were tired and he was frowning deeply... of course, that might've just been a side effect of being old. It did seem a little strange that she might not have noticed him trailing her, though... especially for a man dressed in something so bright and distinct.
"Now, I don't know what else you need the money for..." He adjusted his arm holding the book. "But it isn't wise to steal from a magician." He half smiled. "Sleight of hand is kind of my thing." He then went back to frowning. "Of course, I don't actually make much off of it, so..." He held out his free hand, though he was far enough out of reach. "I would quite appreciate it if you would return my wallet."

Neila came to a stop when someone spoke to her, "Oh someone did take notice huh? Dam I must have been a bit sloppy." Neila said with a roll of the eyes as she then turned to look at the stranger. She could not help but sinker a bit when she looked Cardinal. A old man in a costume and with a cape to boot... A magician huh? Cute really cute, when he asked for his wallet back Neila laughed a bit. " Well old man that will be bit hard to do seeing as I ditched it in a alleyway... So have fun looking for it." Neila said clearly not even a bit rattled she had been caught. Because ya know it does happen and what good does it do to panic when it does? Neila then took another bite of her food now starting to look a little bored. " Well its been fun old man... But I think the kiddies are missing their magician." The young adult said as she then turned and stared to walk away.
Neila was not worried at all, the worse thing the old man could do was call the cops but even that was not a huge deal. She had been out smarting the cops for years she knew this city like the back of her hand so if she needed a quick getaway she always knew what to do. And she did not think a old man would try to fight her ether so in her mind she still getting away scott free. Though the young red head quickly finished eating her food and dumped the take out bag in a garbage can. If she did have to run she did not want to be slowed down by food in her hands.

The man furrowed his brow, the wrinkles in his forehead deepening. She didn't even try pawning his wallet off? "Then return my credit card," he corrected himself, though she had already begun to walk off. He lowered his eyelids halfway in annoyance as he saw her discard what he assumed was the rest of the food she had purchased. How wasteful.
He followed her, though his pace was still slow enough to keep a respectful distance from her. "Now, I don't know your circumstances for doing this," he assessed, very clearly trying to reason with her, "but it isn't quite fair to others who have worked to save up their own money." He prayed he could appeal to her (hopefully existing) better nature and resolve this without force. Being a show magician was his cover after all, and he wished to keep it that way.

Wow the old geezer sure is persistent, now he was being for specific and asking for his credit card back. Now Neila did not normally return things but seeing as she really was not in the mood to deal with a cry baby grandpa or the police she then stopped once again to look at Cardinal. "Fiiine whatever old man..." Neila said as she then pulled out the stolen credit cards. She then held them open as of they where cards from a play deck. "What one is yours? Come on I don't have all day." Neila said in annoyed tone as she then started to tab her foot. Then the old man just had to try to pull the guilt trip card. Neila just rolled her eyes, " It isn't quite fair to others" Neila mimicked in a rude way. " Save it old man its not like I steal much anyway. The hard working folks can easily gain it back. " Was there a good side to Neila? yeah she just did not show it very much. Mostly because she is only looking out for herself, and well that is how its been all her life.

So it worked. "It should be the one with a rose pattern on it," Cardinal sighed with relief. "...but I suggest you go and return the others at some point, as well." he frowned. "Even if they can simply “gain it back,” do you know how long it could take for some of these people to make back what you’ve used up?" He frowned deeper, a bit nervous at the thought of how much he may have lost to this woman, though he reassured himself out loud. "...While I doubt you could’ve made much of a financial dent with a meal or two, you’ve not only taken away the money they’ve worked for, but the time they’ve sacrificed to make it, as well." He readjusted the book under his arm. He might’ve sounded a bit preachy, but he couldn’t help it - he was a dad. It's what he did.

Neila started to frown a bit as the old man started to preach about how hard it must have been for the people to get the money and even asked that she return the other credit cards... So without a word Neila then picked out the old man's card and with a devious smile set the credit card on fire and then tossed the burning card onto the side walk. "Nah how about I keep the cards for a bit and get whatever use I can before the owners freeze them." Neila said as she she just stared at Cardinal folding her arms. Yeah she was gonna be nice but the old man just had to open his big mouth. Though honestly she was kinda surprised he had not called the cops from the start and just confronted her... Not many people where willing to do that to someone who just stole from them. though now her patience with the man was wearing thin, he had been amusing now he was just being a bother. "So can I go now or are you just gonna keep following me? If you do then we are gonna have a problem.. " Neila said as a underline threat, and waited to see what the old man would say.

"I think he went through here." Izzack said to himself as he made his way down this street and that avenue in search for Cardinal. He had just watched his performance in the park and, well, he had the urge to follow him. See if he was going to do any more shows, seeing as how the first one was so fascinating.
Soon enough, he found the man. He was in some dingy alleyway, talking to someone he couldn't quite see. As they moved, and he got closer, though, he managed to make out a woman. They talked for a bit until the lady threw a fireball at Cardinal! Well, maybe not at him, per se, because if so, her aim was terrible, but still! That wasn't polite at all! Why would she do that? He gripped his scythe hard as he tried to think about what he should do. Did he confront her? Did he let Mr. Blackmoore take care of it? Could he take care of it? Sure, he seemed like a very capable man, but that didn't mean that he could stand up against someone who could shoot fire. Oh, but what if she was also a magician? Maybe she was showing him a trick? Oh man, this was getting real confusing, real fast. Still, he needed to do something, so, seizing the power that fueled his magic, he stepped forward.
"Hey! What's going on here!?" was all he said. He figured he might as well give the girl a chance to explain herself before he started protecting Mr. Blackmoore. It was the least he could do...right?

Cardinal's eyes widened as the plastic card spontaneously combust, hitting the ground. He stared at it for a moment, then looked back to Neila, his expression filled with... mild annoyance. One would think he'd have drawn back in fear, but the action seemed to be nothing more than a slight inconvenience for him. He shifted the encyclopedia from underneath his arm. "If this is how you plan on being..." He trailed off with a sigh, adjusting the book against his chest. It didn't seem that she was using magic, at least. "Hey! What's going on here!?" The voice had caught the magician off guard, though he remained composed. He didn't bother to turn around and look at the source, however - not when he still hadn't figured out the extent of this woman's abilities. It wouldn't be wise to leave himself vulnerable from the front... Although, ignoring the newcomer's frightening magical signature probably wasn't such a good idea, either. At the very least, the magic he sensed seemed familiar to him, but he couldn't quite remember where he had felt it before... He hoped it wasn't someone he had engaged in the past. Or would it have been worse if it wasn't...? Regardless, the man slowly stepped sideways, readily positioning himself to face either person. He wanted to focus on the woman, but he couldn't risk a back attack... that would make things complicated. All he knew he had to do was to prepare for a fight. At the very least, he still had the element of surprise...

Hmm that was not the normal reaction she normally got when she showed her powers, there may be more to this old man then Neila had first thought. He then reached for a book, Neila did not know what he was going to with it but she started to form a fire ball ready to attack if the old man tried something. But before ether could do something someone new appeared asking what was going on as he came forward. Though when Neila saw him she could not help but start to laugh. "What the... Did you just come from some sort of early Halloween party? " Neila asked thinking Izzy's outfit was just a costume. Getting the laughing out of her system Neila calmed down though still had a smile on her face.
So first a magician now someone dressed as a grim reaper.. This is starting out to one odd day that was for sure. " Anyway its none of your business whats going on you halloween reject... " Neila said as she then crossed her arms. Clearly not intimidated by the fact that there where now two people here. This was her home field she knew these streets like the back of her hand, so even if things got dicey she knew she would be able to smart and run them both if she had to. As she spoke to Izzy, Neila also kept her eye on the old man she got not forgotten about him at all.

What?
Oh this lady was very rude! Why would she say such things? Izzack twisted his hands along his scythe in frustration. "From what I'm seeing, miss, I seem to have interrupted you from assaulting this man. That is something I cannot tolerate, and I would ask you to stop, before things get out of hand." he felt that he had to punctuate his point somehow, lest he just be laughed at again, but how could he do that? Thinking on the fly, he lifted his scythe, and pointed at the woman.
He began chanting. It was soft, almost impossible to hear. As he chanted, his scythe began to pulse with a soft blue light. Then, without any warning, he slammed the blade into the ground. the pavement might as well have been warm butter, for how easily the scythe travelled through it, and, as he lifted it up once more, the hole the blade left seemed rather larger than it should have been. It wasn't too complicated a spell, to be honest. He just tossed a light spell on his scythe, then manipulated the earth beneath him so as to open it around his blade. Still, as he pointed the weapon once more at the rude woman, he hoped his little magical display did its trick, and she wouldn't just mock him again.

Oh... good. Whoever this was, Cardinal was relieved that he was on his side. And whatever he just did... well, it was certainly magic, he could tell that much. He stole a glance at Izzack's newly formed crater in the ground, then returned his focus to the woman in front of him.
"I'm afraid that's the least of my concern right now," he spoke carefully to Izzack. "This woman here has pickpocketted several people at the park." He frowned. "Somehow, I was one of them." He carefully glanced aside to the reaper. "...And what you likely saw as "assault" was my credit card." He looked back to Neila, but continued speaking to him, lowering his voice. "I'd rather prefer to retrieve what she has stolen."
He was just about ready to use his own spells, but if whoever this newcomer was was willing to use their own, Cardinal had no objection to it. He still desired to keep a low profile, after all. The Blackmoore name was pretty well known among quite a few magic circles, sure, but his main concern was the fact that it had garnered a bit infamy on the news, thanks to his sons. ...Granted, that was about five or six years ago, but still.

Well looked like she touched a nerve, the grim reaper seemed to get angry and then he used some sort of magic. Living here in Aster city that was not something new, though it did change things a bit. It made Neila slightly nervous but she was not gonna show that it did. "Oooh magic so scary!" Neila said in a mocking scared tone waving her hands a bit. She then rolled her eyes shaking her head. "Yeah what the old man said... All ya saw was his credit card burning." Neila said when Cardinal she had assaulted his card. Well this was going to be interesting.. A magic user and a old man who may or may not be normal, she did not know so she was going to now treat him as if he was a threat as well. It was time to start thinking of a way to get out of here.
So without any warning she then shot fire from her hands onto the ground and suddenly a giant wall of flame was made between Neila, and the other two. Neila then dashed off as fast as she could not knowing how long the wall of fire would distract them. Most likely not for long seeing as the guy with the scythe could use magic. As Neila ran through the alleyways she knocked over what she could to slow them down. The alleyways where dark but for Neila that did not matter she knew where she was going. After a bit she stopped knocking things over and started going down different alleyways in hopes of losing the grim reaper and the old dude.

As soon as the wall of flames erupted, Izzack's mind began racing. It was obvious what the girl was doing. You wouldn't put up such a barrier unless you were trying to flee. So Izzack had to think fast. How could he subdue the fire? Of course, he could try water, but with no major source nearby, all he could really go on was the ambient moisture in the air, and as such, pulling enough water to quench such an inferno would be near impossible. He could suffocate it by pulling away the air from around it, but that wouldn't kill it quickly enough, and the girl might be able to get away. Maybe he could smother it with earth? No, not without massively deforming the ground around him, and he was pretty sure the city wouldn't like that too much.
In the end, Izzack could only think of one possible solution. "I'll be back soon, Mr. Blackmoore." he stated simply, and he jumped through the wall of flame.
He had covered his face fully with his hood before hand, and held it close with his free hand, and he got a good running start at the thing. After all, if it was over quickly it wouldn't hurt as bad, right?
Wrong.
Oh man it hurt the second he touched the flame, and it didn't get much better when he exited. His pants underneath his robe near instantly caught fire when he had jumped, which he put out with frantic stomping, as he released his hand, now fairly badly burned, from his hood and removed it from his head, so as to get the colder air, warmed by fire though it was, to his face, which luckily had not been burned too bad, just a little redness from the heat. He took in a sharp intake of breath, then let out a quiet "oooohhhhh..." of pain.
Luckily, his gear had not been burnt, at least, not significantly. If only the magic that protected his robe and scythe transferred to him as well, if only a little bit. "O-Okay, sir! I'm g-gonna find the lady that b-burned your card now!" he called back, voice shaking a little bit from the pain as he, somewhat slowly, began his chase.

"...!" Cardinal quickly stepped back, puting his arm up in defense as the wall of fire shot up. "Tch...!" He grunted, squinting at the flames. For a moment, he thought he would be burned alive, but it was soon clear that it was meant to be a distraction. "And to think," he murmured, lowering his arm. "She could have done that the whole time...?" He furrowed his brow again, almost shuddering at the thought of how horribly wrong this could've went.
He was surprised when the reaper addressed him by name, however. How did he know...? Was he an attendee at one of his shows, maybe? Cardinal didn't have much time to react, as Izzack leapt through the blazing wall before he could say anything. The magician reflexively reached a hand out as if to stop him, but it was too late. He winced, hearing the reaper's shaken voice beyond the crackling flames. He certainly had magic, but... from the way it sounded, it didn't seem as if he had used it properly to deal with the fire in front of him.
He frowned again, sighing as he cracked open his encyclopedia - in actuality, a tome. While he had practiced black magic all of his life and could easily use it without assistance from a tome, it had some... effects on a few members of his family. That is to say... not very good ones. So, he had started using a tome for elemental spells instead. As he leafed through the pages, he figured a quick sand or water spell could easily douse this-
Oh, wait.
The man quickly shut his book, realizing he didn't really need an elemental spell. Instead, he held his palm out, then then curled it sideways, swiping his arm horizontally. While the flames remained strong, they parted aside, creating a clear path for him. It was kind of like opening curtains. ...From hell.
With that obstacle out of the way, Cardinal did his best to follow the magical energy trail that Izzack unknowingly left behind. He jogged briskly, hoping to keep up a decent pace without tiring out. Living in Aster City had at least forced him to walk more, but it wasn't nearly enough exercise to turn him into a long distance runner or anything...
