Jade listened as Sean explained things, so the house he was wanting to offer would most likely not be visited by the Doctor himself... Though his members may stop buy but Sean said she could be able to say she was part of the family and they should leave her alone. Jade had no issue with telling a lie from what she has learned sometimes telling a lie was needed. And it seemed as she is homeless the Doctor would have to stay in the house anyway. So all and all the risk of being discovered was low. And the chance she was found out she would not get kicked out but could still have a unpleasant encounter with this doctor. Ok so the odds where in her favor even with the risk. So Jade then modded, " Ok I will live in one of these houses. And pretend to be a family member if one of your friends show up. " Jade said in her normal deadpan tone of voice. She was willing to go with this seeing as Sean said it was ok she just had to be a bit careful is all.

"Fantastic, lass. I'd reckon havin' a place ta yerself'd be much better than' livin' on the streets, eh?" Sean said, giving a slight sigh of relief. He didn't actually know what Jade would decide until she had spoken. She wasn't necessarily easy to read when the choice was obvious. Throw some risk into the situation and there was no way of knowing which way she leaned. Nevertheless, she had agreed, and now it was time to find the best house for her. "What say we go ta yer place now, eh?" he suggested. As it was, all the safe houses were connected anyway via the sewers, so they'd all be along the same route. Taking some extra time to find the proper house would also allow him to teach Jade of some of the intricacies of the family, especially the signs they left for each other in those very sewers, and what to do if she actually encountered one of them. As he had said, there wouldn't be any real problem unless John made an appearance, though that was contingent on Jade acting the right way if she was found. Nothing a little training would be unable to fix.

Jade nodded when Sean said it was time to see her knew home, she started to follow Sean to her new home. It would be nice to have a bed to sleep in it was on of the things she had missed while she lived on the streets. As she walked behind Sean she was hearing his unguarded thoughts. So he was wanting to teach her how to act. Well that was a good idea it would be best to know how to act if one of the family ever showed up at the house Sean has chosen for her to live in. So Silently Jade followed after Sean making sure to memorize they way they where coming from so she would not get lost later.

"Now, Sean began as soon as they hit the sewers, "First thing ta take note o' is th' markin's. We use these fer quite a lot o' things, but mostly fer th' safe houses. We'll probably see quite a few along th' way, so I'll make not o' em when we see 'em. As they walked, Sean made good on his promises, pointing out symbols carved crudely into the stone. They tended to consist mostly of triangles, squares, circles, and lines. They tended to be mostly about locations of safe houses, sizes, number of inhabitants, and some basic details about the type of people within, such as if they were violent, friendly, etc. "Now, as fer actin' th' part, tha' shouldn't be too much o' a problem. Jus' make sure ya don't say too much. Too much false information can land ye in trouble if ya can't remember it all precisely. As I see it, ye only need a few facts: Yer name, which I'd suggest makin' a false one, a mental illness, or addiction, All o' us were driven ta John. Doesn't 'ave ta be too severe, jus' somethin' tha' would get ye landed in a psychiatrist's office. After tha', all ya need ta do is remember ta call Johnathan "Th' doctor" an' ye should be fine. An' if John comes through, don't worry, ye'll know it's him, as no other member dresses so well, or has them cold eyes o' hiss, if he shows up then jus' tell 'im I set ye up there a few days before he showed up, an' tha' I was Lookin' ta set you up with an appointment with him. Normally, he can tell a lie a mile away, but I reckon ye might be able ta beat his skill with people. Unless, of course, he comes after others 'ave. If there's anyone tha' can tell him yer lyin' yer better off tellin' th' truth, an tellin' him tha' I put ye up there taday. Jus' let me take th' fall fer ye. D'ye have any questions, Jade?" Sean asked, well aware that the number of ifs and thens might be a little confusing at first exposure. Best to get such things out of the way now before the girl was stuck in a bad situation.

Jade was not to thrilled going into the sewers, it was a stinky and dirty place... She did her best to make sure her overly large bear did not get dirty. All the while she was taking in everything Sean said. About what the markings meant it was a good thing Jade has such a good memory or she would have most likely been as confused like any human would have been. She stored everything Sean said to memory. Though she flattened her ears when Sean suggested when worse comes to worse if the doctor did show up let him take the fall for her. She did not say anything though but she would refuse to do that, if she got in trouble she just would find a way out without putting Sean in danger. When Sean finished Jade just nodded as her ears returned to normal. And she shook her head when he asked if she had any questions. " No I have none." Jade said and could not wait to get put of this stinky and dirty place.

"Fantastic. Well then," Sean began, stopping as they approached a seemingly empty stretch of sewer. Well, empty except for a carving that they had seen before, yet he had not explained. It resembled an eye looking downwards towards the ground. "This carvin' works a lil' different than the rest. It says tha' there's a safe house near, an' it tells ye how to get in. Th' eye points th' way. This safe house ya open by twistin' this here rock." Sean demonstrated, squatting down and twisting what seemed to be a piece of gravel. As soon as he did so, the wall next to them began to rumble. It trembled for a short time and then fell into the ground, revealing a well lit gravel path jutting from behind a two story house. "Welcome, Jade, to yer new home." Sean announced.

Jade nodded as she Sean explained the markings on the wall and what they meant. The eye was looking down do that meant pull the hidden lever down and sure enough the wall next to them opened up. When it stopped Jade then started to walk through the hidden path and soon saw the two story house. Jade stared at it a bit as it sunk in that is where she would be living for the time being. She then walked up to the door but then stopped not knowing if the door was unlocked and if it was locked she had no idea where the key was. She then looked at Sean, " The house looks nice Sean. Thank you" Jade said though she forgot to smile to smile

"Not a problem there, Jade. 'Tis th' least I could do fer ya" Sean said as he unlocked the door, using a key hidden in the bottom of a false rock. He opened the door to reveal a modest house. It seemed a bit dusty, but other than that, well kept. Simple furnishings could be seen from the hallway to the living room. "Nothin' too fancy, ya see. Means tha' this house isn't gonna be next on ol' John's list fer some time, seein' as how he 'as better places elsewhere. Ye should be able ta stay here for a right long time without runnin' inta anyone else. Quick word o' warnin', though: The fireplace on the first floor isn't ta be used. All o' John's houses have one fireplace tha's an emergency secret exit. Th' one on th' second floor should be fine, though." he cautioned. He had made that mistake once, when he was new to John's...family. Filled the whole lower floor of that house with smoke. That was one way to make an introduction. With an assuring grin, Sean held out his arms, motioning for Jade to enter the house first.

Jade watched as Sean got the hidden key and made sure to keep that hiding place in mind. She then nodded Sean spoke of the first floor fireplace was a exit and not a real one. " Ok" Jade replied to that bit of info. With that though when Sean opened the door and Jade walked into her house. It looked rather simple just enough to make it looked lived in. Though as Sean had said rather dusty. Not that Jade minded, she would have all the time in the world do what humans called cleaning. Jade felt the more human things she did the more she would understand human emotion. Or so she hoped anyway. She then turned to look at Sean and gave a small bow, " I shall take care of this place and clean it up" as she stood up right again. Yes this was a huge step for her. From living in a isolated room, to living on the streets with no friends. Now to having one friend and a house. Granted it was not really hers but it was a safe place to stay for the time being.

"Take good care o' it, an' I'm sure it'll take good care o' ye, Jade." Sean mused idly, grinning like an idiot at the feeling his good deed brought. With this, he felt almost as if the events with Taylor were behind him. Yes, this was what he needed after all. Someone to help, rather than to harm. "Ah! Nearly forgot," he began, pulling out a small radio from his back pocket and handing it to her, "This here will be fer if ye ever need ta get ahold o' me. Switch it ta channel 14a, few if any ever use that'n, an' don't say what ye need until yer sure it's me an' only me on th' line, ya got it?" he asked. It wouldn't do to leave the girl without some sort of emergency contact. He would have to get a new radio, however, though that wasn't all that difficult. There were plenty of John's family that were clumsy enough that them 'losing' a radio wouldn't be anything worthy of note.

Jade blinked when Sean handed her the raido, she blinked as she looked at it and listened to Sean as he said how to use it. Hmm it seemed simple though Jade would make to study how to use it so when time came she would use it the right way. With a nod she then put the radio into one one of her pockets. She then walked into the living room the house and set her bear and bunny on the couch. This would do for now till she picked a bedroom for herself. A small natural looking smile grew on Jade's lips she then looked at Sean. " I.. I think I feel happy." She said as her eyes lit up with joy. For the first time in her life the bestmen felt happy, now she understood what it meant to happy and wanted to learn and feel more emotions.

A swell of joy and, perhaps, pride rose up in Sean at Jade's words. There were few better ways to tell a man he had done well than this. "Lovely, plain an' simple. I'm happy I could help ye." he commented, not really knowing what to say to such a powerful statement. Well, powerful coming from a girl who up until this point hadn't showed much, if any, real emotion. He was glad he could make her first emotion joy, though. "I needs be goin' now, young Jade. Sleep well now. Ye've had an excitin' day." he grinned, gently closing the door as he left the house. Few ways better to get his mind of things that something like this. Few ways better to end a day, he mused as he made his way back to the secret entrance. He pulled the hidden lever the eye peered at, and made his way back towards more populated houses, back to John.
