That simply drooping on her ears seemed a tidal wave of emotion to Sean, though what emotion that was, he wasn't entirely sure. Disappointment maybe? Perhaps...annoyance that he asked her to try another ride? Well, whatever it was, this was a breakthrough with her...maybe. It all depended on whether or not that actually was a sign of emotion, and not just her lowering her ears for whatever arbitrary reason she may well have. "Err...well then! Is there anythin' else ye'd like ta do? Plenty games o' chance here, eh? Well, I suppose they call 'em games of skill, but it's all the same. Perhaps ye can win yerself somethin'. Mighty fine feelin', winnin' somethin' from a game." he suggested. If that had been a show of emotion, it was more likely been a negative one, unless this girl didn't know how to show emotion right either. As it was, Sean didn't want Jade's little trip to be a loss, so he resolved to do what he could to make her show another emotion. Hopefully something like joy, or for her to laugh, or...well, he would go for a bit of sarcasm at this point, so long as it wasn't too bitter. "Anythin' at all, Jade. I'm yer guide ta havin' fun today, eh?" he continued, giving a short bow

Jade walked a bit as Sean spoke suggested they play one of the many games booths that where set up. So the young bestmen eyes looked over the ones that where close. Though the ones she mostly looked at where the people where already playing and seemed to be having fun and few even won stuff. So that was the point of those games? Play and if you win get a prize? Jade still remained deadpaned as she processed these thoughts. " The point in playing is to win a prize?" Jade asked after a bit she had a feeling the answer was yes but still felt the need to ask anyway. : How do I play these games?" Jade asked as she then looked back at Sean. There was so much she did not know of this outside world. But she wanted to learn no matter how long it took.

"Winnin' a prize is only half o' th' fun, lass. Th' other half comes from playing a game that's rigged so that ye lose, an' still winnin'. A feelin' of beatin' the man at his own game, eh?" Sean tried to explain. Perhaps other people were only in it for the prize, but Sean always got more satisfaction by wiping the smug grins of the attendants faces. "Playin' is real simple, but it changes from game ta game. How about we start with th' shootin' range, eh? All ya gotta do is take th' toy rifle, and shoot corks at th' targets. If ye shoot enough, ya get a prize. Sound simple enough fer a first game?" he asked, happy that Jade seemed interested in playing the games, or at least not completely opposed...maybe. In any case, she was wanting all the information before denying it outright, so that was good. As far as Sean figured, these little games were probably the best chance he had at insuring that Jade had a good time at the park, for if rides didn't excite her, perhaps a challenge would.

Jade listened as Sean spoke of the games and how some are rigged for you lose. She blinked at that one, games where you where meant to lose? Then what was the point in playing such games if there was no hope in winning? Jade ignored that thought as Sean spoke of games you can win and he started to talk about a shooting game with fake guns. Guns huh.. Jade had fired off real guns when in training. Her makers thought it would be best of she learned how to use weapons just in case her powers got over loaded. When Sean seemed to want to play the shooting game the bestman nodded and picked up the fake gun that had the cork in it. She then waited for Sean to pay seeing as she had no money. She then aimed at her target and fired hitting the bulls-eye. She repeated this action a few times missing a few though seeing as shooting with this toy was not the same as shooting a real one though Jade was learning quickly how to use it.

"Mighty fine shootin' there, Jade! Mighty fine indeed!" Sean cheered as Jade shot with surprisingly good accuracy for a first timer. He also watched the stand operator's face. That slight tinge and annoyance hidden underneath the happy go lucky facade. That's what he was talking about. Nothing quite like beating folk like these at their own game, he thought. "An' congratulations! Ye won yerself a toy taday! Missin' a couple knocked ya down a tier, but ya still can get anythin' from tha' shelf second from th' top!" he explained. The toy selection wasn't too great, but it wasn't terrible either. Some stuffed animals, big, though not quite as much as those on the tier above, a harmonica, plastic, unlike the metal one above it, and other simple toys adorned the shelf from which Jade could pick. Sean, as it was, was interested in seeing what toy, if any, Jade would choose. Perhaps this would be something exciting for her, making her own choice on what to play with. Or she could just choose nothing because he had told her the reaction of the stand owners was more important than the toy...well, hopefully she would still add insult to injury there.

When the game was over Jade looked at Sean and saw him enjoying the human emotion of happiness. So he was happy she had done well and when someone is happy they smile. Jade then tried to copy Sean and tried to smile though seeing as she never smiled before it looked a bit awkward but a smile was a smile. She then looked at the prizes that she could now choose from, she had no real desire to take one but it was the point of winning the game to get a prize. Soon her green eyes landed on stuffed bunny. She pointed to it, " I want that one." She said and took the bunny when the man behind the counter handed it to her. Jade looked at the bunny for a moment then held it in her arms as she then looked at Sean. " What other games are there?" Jade asked, for a moment Jade felt something, though she was unsure what it was. Joy of winning a prize? Only time would tell.

When Jade smiled, Sean did his best to not gape open mouthed at the sight. Such a thing seemed akin to an eclipse, or perhaps a herd of unicorns ridden by leprechaun jockeys. It would appear that he was making some headway after all. Either that, or she was just humoring him. Either way, something was working. "Ah! Let's see what other games we got 'ere! Hrmmm...Ah! I got it! How about this'n? It's simple enough, ye jus' throw the ball n' try ta knock over all th' bottles! Same deal, win an' ye have a prize waitin' fer ya." Sean seemed even more energetic than when he was cheering Jade on. Without any hesitation he almost ran towards the next booth and slammed down his money "Three balls fer' the lady, pal." he said. The slight show of emotion was great, but Sean was also excited to see if Jade could do as well at this game, too.

Jade could feel how happy Sean was, though sadly she was not really feeling it herself or if she was did not really understand the feeling. She then followed Sean to another booth, this game looked like you needed to knock the bottles over with a ball. Just by looking at the bottles she could tell they where heavy. When Sean paid for her to play and the man set down the balls she needed to throw, the young beastman picked up the ball and blinked, it was light... She then looked at the bottles then back at the ball in her hand. " The ball is light... Is this one rigged games you spoke of?" Jade asked. Though she knew what the answer of that would be. So this is one of the games it was more fun to beat then it was to get a prize to annoy the operator. Jade then handed her bunny to Sean as she then took a throwing stance. She knew the best spot to hit would be the middle of the stack.
Jade held up her hand up and threw the ball at the middle of the stack. It it but it only rattled the bottles. Jade did not give a reaction to this as she knew her first try would fail. It was a testing throw anyway she now knew how to do it. She then picked up the 2nd ball and aimed, she then threw it harder and faster then she did the first time hitting the very same spot and all the bottles where knocked over at the same time. A smile again grew on Jade's face. And this time she was sure she felt something. A bit of joy and pride she had out smarted a rigged game.

"AH HA! That's how you do it, Jade! Well done!" Sean laughed, handing Jade her bunny and her newly acquired teddy bear that was nearly half the size of her. He loved the look on the operator's face after the bottles fell after only the second throw. Nothing but pure shock at the unpleasant surprise. Sean himself had never been able to beat this game so soundly, and it only made it better that the first throw was obviously not meant to actually succeed. "Ya got quite the arm on you, don't ye? Ain't no easy feat, beatin' a rigged game like this!" he continued. This was great. Not only did Jade win, she won soundly, and it seemed that she enjoyed winning, too. If that smile, less awkward than before, meant anything.
"So, Are ye havin' fun yet, Jade? Do ye want ta play another game?" Sean asked. Part of him was eager to have her shock more shady booth owners, but he was sure to keep himself in check. He wanted this to be a fun time for her, not just him carrying her around and forcing her to play games she didn't want to play just so that he could laugh in the faces of others. That wouldn't do at all.

Jade blinked when suddenly handed such a large bear, what was she gonna do with it? Its not like she had a place she could keep it. As she was homeless after all not that Sean knew that. Though she nodded and accepted her prize and now was also holding her bunny that had been her first prize. When Sean asked if she was having fun Jade thought about it but ended up giving a shrug. : I don't really know.. I think I am I did enjoy beating both games. " Jade said in reply showing how bad she was at telling what emotion she was feeling if any at all. when Sean asked if she wanted to play more games the bestmen shook her head. " No I have played enough. Besides I don't know where I shall store this large bear." Jade said as she looked at Sean.

"Don't know where ta store it? In yer room I'd reckon. I mean, don't tell me yer...wait. Do ye have a place ta stay, Jade? A home?" Sean asked. As it was, he had enough experience to tell when someone was homeless. Well, he normally did, but with Jade, the thought had never crossed his mind until she had mentioned having no place for her bear. Unless her room was far too crowded, finding a place for the bear shouldn't be too hard. The mere thought that this girl who had helped him, if indirectly, wanting for anything rather upset him, though he certainly did not show it. However, what could he do if she responded with a yes? Sean racked his brain for a possible solution, though no simple one came to mind. As he concentrated, another thought popped into his head. What if by 'store', the girl didn't mean where to put the bear when this was all said and done, but rather, where to hold it, seeing as how she had quite a lot of stuffed animal on her already with the rabbit and the bear. That thought comforted Sean rather well. That made sense, chances were she just didn't know how best to convey what she was thinking.

When Sean asked if she had a home the young bestmen shook her head. " No I do not have a home. I did once But it was not really a home and it is no more." Jade said, she spoke of the lab she was made in and raised in. She had her own room though was never allowed to leave it unless she was training or out on a mission. Though now it was gone along with everyone inside it. She had broken free, and now she was here in this city. Jade may perhaps tell Sean about this place but only if he ever wanted to know.

Sean's relief quickly turned back to dread. So, it was like that after all. "Is that so, lass..." he said, though it didn't appear like he was asking her another question. Well, what was he to do then? He couldn't just pretend like he had never heard of her plight. Once again he concentrated on a possible solution. "Well now, that might just work..." he muttered, seeming almost pleased with himself. "I'll tell ye what, lass, my boss, he has quite a few homes for his...employees, eh? Well, a right few o' 'em are actually jus' empty. Still have runnin' water an' all that, but without anyone livin' in 'em. How'd ye like ta stay in one of those places, eh?" he asked. He would have to think of a good place. One that was a higher end house, but not high enough to be high on the list of houses to populate next for John. Already, a few came to mind, narrowing that list down, he could think of a few that didn't have cameras in them, last he had checked. This might just be a good idea, he thought to himself, a little smug.

Jade blinked as Sean started to talk about homes that his boss keeps for his followers that where not in use now. And suggesting she could stay in one of those houses, Though would the Doctor allow that? What what information she has about him he did not seem the sort to allow such a thing. It was nice for Sean to offer though. " Are you sure the Doctor would allow someone who is not part of his family to stay in one of his houses?" Jade asked she had gotten the family thing when she had met Julia the first time she had met Sean back at the beach. Julia mind was odd to say the least though it was if she was still a child even though she was fully grown human. There was also something else odd about Julia but Jade was not sure what it was.

"As it is, Jade, me boss wouldn't 'ave too much ta say about tha' matter. Ye see, first of all, we wouldn't tell him, so it's unlikely he would find out, more a matter of findin' the proper house, tha' is. Second of all, so long as it's set up right, he would 'ave ta let ya stay. Y'see, these houses are set up as part of 'is 'charitable effort' yeah? So, if ye are put up in one of 'is houses tha' he wasn't gonna use for some time anyway, an' yer homeless an' not botherin' nobody, then he would be put in a situation where it'd take more work to get ye out than he'd bother with. That is, if yer on good behavior while in th' place. if ye start ruinin' the house, then he'd have no problem evictin' ye, ye see." Sean explained. He didn't mention that if Johnathan found her, he may well try to take her under his wing, but he was confident that Johnathan's...talents would have a tough time working on such a woman as Jade, so for once, he wasn't worried for her. "As it is, though, I know a few places tha' are far off his list of places to populate next, or at least don't fit his pattern fer' places to populate next. Also, unless Johnathan himself pays ye a visit, ye should be able ta convince any others who come tha' yer part o' the group, eh?" he continued. He tried to do his best to ignore the fact that Jade already knew the name Johnathan's followers adopted for themselves. It was difficult, though, because it also reminded him that he was still technically part of that family. Was is only technically? It was hard to read his heart about that matter, too much conflict.
