Izzack hated malls. Back when he was normal, malls were merely a reminder that was was too poor to afford anything but what the occasional handout could buy, but now, now they were just big structures full of people. However, if he was going to become a hero, he'd have to overcome his fear of people, and to do that, he was prepared to be stuck in the middle of a crowd. So it was, that he was now, packed in with the foot traffic, as he walked from store to store, trying his best to ignore the uncomfortable stares passerby gave him. He was not wearing his outfit. That was placed carefully in the very large, very beaten up case he held. No, he instead was wearing his normal clothes, though perhaps they would be better described as tatters, Izzack was still a homeless man, after all. Still, it was nice that people were uncomfortable with his presence, rather than actually scared, as they tended to be when he tried to help people. He even afforded himself a rare smile. Things were getting better, he could do this.
It was then that a loud sound tore the smile from his face. Gunshots, screams, something was horribly wrong. He dashed in the direction of the sound, and found a robbery taking place. Four men, all armed and wearing strange masks, were threatening cashier of a jewelry store. "Oh this is bad, very bad." Izzack said to himself. He checked around real quick to see if anyone was going to stop these men. Nobody looked too eager to confront robbers with guns, however, so Izzack knew that the task would have to fall to him. With surprising speed, he dashed into the closest restroom, and began to change.
He exited the room wearing a long, black robe that looked like it was made of some material that had not been invented yet. It shined like silk, yet it seemed textured like canvas. in his hand was a large scythe. Runes covered the entire haft of the weapon, intricately carved into the black wood. The blade did not seem like it was attached to the haft, but rather like the shining metal was a natural extension of the wood. He did his best to ignore the stares of the people as he forced his way back to the store. "Stop! Stop this at once, or face justice!" he shouted at the criminals, immediately feeling like a fool for using such a stupid line. "Well! Looks like Halloween came early, eh guys?" one of the men, perhaps the leader of the bunch, laughed. They didn't seem ready to open fire yet on the would be hero, which was a good sign, but they didn't seem to take him seriously, which was not.
Now or never, now or never, now or never. Those three words repeated in Izzack's head. He had to prove himself, to these criminals, to the onlookers, to himself, and to the one who had agreed to take him under her wing. He couldn't chicken out, not again. With that in mind, Izzack began to concentrate. It was an odd thing, accessing his powers. It felt more like weaving a tapestry than any form of magic. Using threads of fire and air, he created a tiny work of art, a small whip of fire which shot out from his open hand to burn the hands holding the guns. It was somewhat successful, the guns were dropped, though sudden, random shots were fired as the heat ignited the gunpowder. Luckily, none of the shots hit anybody, but it was certainly a mistake that Izzack would have to learn to never make again. "Gah! It's one of those kinds of heroes! Alright boys! Plan B!" the leader shouted, shortly before a bolt of electricity shot out at Izzack, which was barely avoided. It would appear that these men had powers as well, though the reason why they would have hid them in the first place was a mystery. Nevertheless, Izzack took cover behind a table, upturned by the sudden rush to get away from the battle. He sat, firing back whatever spell he could think of, but without any help of his own, he was just working to delay these men, hoping that they tired before he did.

Amara found herself being rather bored, it was the weekend and things where a bit slow. Only thing that really happened recently was Taylor getting kidnapped and losing his communicator that is now most likely still in the hands of the creep that kidnapped him. Amara had not been angry in a very long time. She worked hard on that only for it to be in the hands of a bad guy! Not that she could blame Taylor though. So she had been working on a new one the last week but she needed a break. So she went off to the mall. " Hmm good to take a break after working so much. Not that I so much fighting like the rest of them though... Background work is hard not easy ether. Amara said as she walked around. She then stopped by the food court and ordered herself a meal. She then soon sat down and started to eat.
But she would not get to enjoy her meal for soon there where gun shots and screams. "What? Is this for real??" Amara said a she stood up. She then took off running twords the screams, when she got there she saw a battle had already started. four baddies and one solo hero, Amara blinked whens he saw the lone hero and it did not take long to place him. It was Izzy! The guy She and Taylor helped join Yuki's team! She had not seen him in person till now though but she did see a photo. Well it looks like he needed help! Amara was not as skilled a fighter as her friends but there was no way she was gonna look the other way. She saw one of them at the same powers she did. No matter she was sure he did not know how to use them very well!
Amara then started to charge herself up with electricity. She then let out a bolt of lighting at the three who did not seem to have any powers. " Hope you don't mind me cutting in!Looks like you could use some help!" Amara said as she also got ready to use some of her gadgets she had on hand.

Before Amara showed up, Izzack was doing his best just distracting the men. Little spells, using all threads he knew. Earth, air, water, fire, and spirit; some attacks were weavings of the powers, and some were just pure force, but none of them did much of anything. That was, of course, until Amara showed up "I don't mind at all! Thank you!" he said, surprising himself somewhat with his lack of nervousness at the sudden arrival of an ally. Perhaps it was the adrenaline. Regardless, with another person to aid him, he began to get more daring with his attacks. Threads of air to launch garbage cans, fireballs formed from thin air, and other projectiles were sent in the direction of the criminals.
Amara's bolt his one of the men square in the chest, but not before he was able to reveal his powers. A jet of water burst from his hands the moment before he was struck, knocking him out instantly. The water shot at full force towards the two, and Izzack, distracted by shock as his fireball was caught by it's target, and flung away, notably larger than before, was hit hard. His drenched form was now an easy target for the electric leader, who began shooting bolt after bolt towards him, while the man who could apparently control fire protected him, turning aside any flame based attack that was sent their way. Izzack was stuck focusing most of his energy on simply dodging.
Meanwhile, the last man, passive until now, suddenly ripped out a large chunk of the floor beneath him. This massive pile of concrete and wood was sent effortlessly in Amara's location, followed by a fair number of lesser sized hunks of rubble. "We'll teach you not to mess with us!" he shouted, more a guttural roar than anything a normal human could recreate.

It seemed they all had powers! And one of them had water powers! Great just great! Amara was starting to think she had just jumped into something over her head. No she just had to stay calm she had the skills as well as the gear! She had been practicing after all! When the water jet came her way Amara jumped and rolled out of the way. " I already had a shower thnaks!" Amara said as she stood back up and her mind raced with possible ideas. They where fighting foes with Fire and electricity powers... But before Amara could go through with a idea that was forming a mutant that seemed to have super strength decided to pick up a chunk of the floor and toss it at her. "Oh come on!" Amara said as once again she moved to dodge the attack.
" Is that so? All I see is a guy throwing a fit!" Ok I have a Idea." Amara said as she then pushed a button on her watch and then a force shield around herself. Then she pulled some sort of a devise out of her bag, she hit a button and then threw it at the celling. The devise then went up in flame and activated the fire sprinklers. Making water rain down on everyone including the charged up electric mutant and the fire mutant. " How do ya like that? Water and electricity and fire don't mix! Now Izzack! Here is your chance!" Amara called out seeing now as two of the mutants could no longer use their powers. But that still left the super strength mutant though.

Izzack did not need to be told twice. As soon as Amara gave him the opportunity, he started casting one again. He pushed as hard as he could with his limited strength in air weaving, and he bound the arms and legs of the two men he was fighting in weaves that were invisible to the naked eye, but near impossible to break, for they were hard, but had just enough give to not break. "Thank you. Now it's time for me to repay the favor!" he said as he tied off the weaves, an action which caused the weaves to remain in place, even though he was no longer actively maintaining them.
The one man remaining did not seem to be ready to go down without a fight. With another roar, he dashed with incredible speed towards Amara. Sharp, jagged chunks of concrete in each hand, he attacked suddenly and viciously, swinging at Amara like a baseball player swings when he is desperate for a home run.
Izzack saw the situation unfold, and he decided that it was time for him to help Amara. Though he was beginning to feel weakened from the channeling he had already done, he put a surprising amount of force into his next spell. Weaves of rock and air came together to pull up the first pile of rubble the man threw. With surprising force, Izzack launched the pile towards the criminal, though even when it hit, he didn't seem too phased. It did stop his attack before he could properly begin however, and it did turn his attention towards Izzack. "Okay, It's your turn now!" he shouted, running in the opposite direction of the man as be gave chase, hoping to give Amara enough time to think of something.

Amara did a fist pump when her idea worked and Izzy was able to take down the two mutants, though her little celebration was cut off when the huge mutant started coming after her throwing things at her as he ran. "Aww man!" Amara said as her eyes grew wide and she then started to run while trying to dodge what was being thrown at her. Amara knew she would not be able to fight that guy off he would completely own her! Though it seemed teamwork saved her, Izzy had attacked and now the huge thug was after him and Izzy called out for her to do something. Though Amara froze she had no idea what to do!
Suddenly someone new joined in the battle, a girl who was wearing a highschool uniform and has long purple hair. She charged at the raging mutant, she then jumped up kicking the guy in the face with great force. Then using his face as a spring board she jumped back getting into a fighting stance, her gaze was was cold and unforgiving. " Those who use their powers on the weak make me sick... Why don't you take on someone more your level? Or are you a coward?" said The mysterious teenage looking girl.
Amara was in shock when this new girl showed up, "Whoa who is that girl?" Amara asked as she now found herself unable to move.

Izzack, too, was frozen, but not from shock. When the newcomer appeared, he suddenly had a surge of strange, confusing emotions. Rage, hate, pain, regret, sorrow, but most of all, there was a crippling feeling of dread. Izzack was confused, and somewhat scared. Something was wrong here, something about this girl was wrong, but he had no idea why. So he just watched, thankful, at least, that this woman seemed to take over the job of distracting the criminal.
The man, meanwhile, was sent reeling from the kick to the face, though not for long, as he managed to stay on his feet despite the strength behind the blow. "I'M NO COWARD. YOU'RE THE COWARD, FIGHTING ME THREE ON ONE!" he shouted, seeming to grow angrier by the second. With a leap, he jumped back into the jewelry store, and with a massive grunt, he picked up the entire counter, exposing the cashier who had been hiding since the conflict started. He paid her no mind, however, for his sights were on this woman who hurt him out of nowhere. Shouting incoherently at the top of his lungs, he began swinging at her violently, as if every swing were meant to be a death blow.

The girl gave a smirk when the mutant claimed she was the coward fighting him three on one. " I'm more then happy to fight you one on one.." The girl said with a smile. When the huge mutant picked up a counter and came in swinging she then rushed forward with amazing speed, she soon was behind the angry mutant. She then jumped up again doing double kick on his back with great force once again. But she did not let up, she then picked up metal pipe that was on the ground due to the battle and the damage of the mall. She then charged forward again and whacked the raging mutant with the metal pipe as hard as she could.
Mean while Amara forced her legs to move and ran over to Izzy, "Hey you doing ok?" Amara asked though she never took her eyes off the battle that was now going. "This girl is amazing! Being able to stand toe to toe with that guy." Amara said in awe she was really glad that girl was on their side.

The robber, numb from rage, did not seem too phased from the kick to the back, seeing as how he spent much less time recovering from this blow than the one prior. When the pipe hit him, however, he went silent. He did not move. He didn't drop the desk, not one muscle so much as twitched. As it was, it would appear that the man had been knocked out while still on his feet, as shortly after this display, he fell, rather heavily, to the ground.
"This is not right. This is not right. Something is wrong, so very wrong." Izzack said in the faintest of whispers. He was trying his best to convey to Amara what he was feeling, but the maelstrom of emotion resting in his head made it hard to think at all, much less form a sentence to accurately describe what was happening. "Sh-she...this is bad, this is very, very bad. Sh-sh-sh-she shouldn't be here." he finally managed.
He had not been watching the fight. As soon as that woman appeared, he had a hard time even remembering where he was. He wanted to run from the horrifying torrent of emotion, but he still couldn't move his feet. Part of him hoped it was a dream. The other part feared what it meant for his mental state if this actually was.

Amara stared at Izzy as he spoke, saying the girl was bad and that she should not be here. She was way beyond confused how was this girl bad when she was saving them. Not knowing what to say Amara stayed silent. Though soon her eyes where drawn back to the battle just in time to see the girl whack the baddie with metal pip. "Eh??? Did he just get knocked out standing up?" Amara said in shock when the man stopped moving and then fell over with a thud. "Holy cow! Amazing! She beat that guy all by herself!" Amara said in awe. Amara then looked back at Izzy and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Hey whats the matter? Why is she bad?" Amara asked wanting to know why her team mate was acting this way.
When the mutant fell to the ground Zosima then dropped the metal pipe she had used. The guy was not dead just knocked out, even so she knew Kaleo was gonna chew her out for getting involved like this without wearing her costume. Could not be helped though her outfit was at home and today was supposed to be her relaxing day.. Ugh she had picked a fine day to visit the mall.. Without even looking at Amara and Izzy, Zosima started to walk away without a word. Her job here was done there was no need to stay any longer.

"Sh-she...She isn't supposed to be here. She...I-don't-know. I just...I feel it, d-d-deep in my soul." Izzack spoke slowly, forcing out every word, and even then it was a struggle. The only movement he had made since the woman showed up was a sudden, violent jerk when Amara touched him. He felt so vulnerable in this state, so raw, buffeted from all these emotions until only a frail psyche was left, that even such a gentle touch shocked him to the core. He wanted this to stop. He didn't know how much longer he could bear this.
When the woman began to leave, at first Izzack was relieved. Hopefully this feeling would pass once she was gone, but then, a singular thought forced it's way through the violent storm of emotion. "A hero would stop this woman. A hero would confront her." Izzack hated this thought, for he knew that it was right. If this woman could cause this level of anguish to him, she had to be stopped before she could do it to someone else. Hesitantly, one foot at a time, he began walking after her. A very quiet sound escaped his lips, sounding more like a long exhale than anything else, but if one listened closely, he was very quietly screaming. Screaming to force all these horrible thoughts out of his head, or at least trying to, though there wasn't much success. It did help, though, as did his concentration on this woman who was doing this to him. He had to catch up to her. He just had to.

Amara just did not understand why Izzy seemed to hate the person that had just helped them, they could have lost if she had not shown up. But she made up her mind not to leave Izzy. She was willing to give him support but was not going to do anything till she knew all the facts. "Ok Izzack I will stay with you.. But I still don't understand why you don't like her.. what do you mean she is not supposed to be here? Do you know her some how?" Amara asked as she now started to feel uneasy because of how strange Izzy was acting at the moment.
Mean while Zosima did not know she was being followed, she just wanted to get to the other side of the mall and leave before the media showed up. It did not take long to reach the other side of the mall and she then left the building and started to walk down the side walk. She would be fine if she could just get away from the area.

Izzack followed, barely keeping up with the woman as she walked away. He only noticed Amara's presence occasionally, when he could think of anything other than this strange woman, but when he did notice, he was thankful. He wished that he could tell Amara why he was acting like he did, but he didn't know himself. Everything was so weird, everything had gone so wrong so quickly. "Th-th-thank...you." he managed faintly.
After some time, after leaving the mall, he felt that it was time to make his move. "You..." he said, barely loud enough to hear, "You...do...not...belong." his speech was halting at best, and his arm was noticeably shaking as he lifted it to point at the woman. He was going to get his answers, it didn't matter what he had to do to get them. He would follow this strange one to the ends of the Earth if that is what was needed. He had to know why she was making him feel these things. "Who...who are you?" he asked, trying his best to keep his composure.

As Zosima walked and Izzy got closer the undead girl now started to feel a reaper's presence. Soon after she heard someone call out, saying she did not belong and asking who she was. Zosima then turned to look behind her and saw what looked like a reaper and a girl with glasses. It took a moment to place them but she then remembered they where the ones who where fighting that mutant first. Soon Zosima's gaze landed on Izzy, she stared at him with her cold eyes. " I don't have to tell you anything Reaper..." Zosima said as she then turned away again and started walking. having no desire to talk to a reaper.
Amara blinked and looked at Izzy, "Reaper? Like a grim reaper? Is that what you are Izzack?" Amara asked still as confused as before.

"I...I...I don't know, Amara. This whole situation is so very confusing. I...all I know is that sh-she...feels wrong. I can't...I can't explain, but sh-she might. She seems to know something that I don't." Izzack said. To his surprise, confronting Zosima, if only briefly helped with his mental state. The flood of emotions was still there, but that overwhelming dread seemed to lessen. It wasn't gone completely, but it had receded enough to let him concentrate again. "There is only one way to get those answers from her, and that's to keep following. She's...hiding something, and we need to find out what. We are heroes, and th-this is what heroes do, right? Th-they find the things that are wr-wrong, and then they fix them...right?" He seemed somewhat confused for a second, perhaps he didn't have the level of concentration that he thought he did. It didn't matter, though. All he needed to do was keep following. if he just kept focusing on that, he'd get through this. With less effort than before, he began following the strange lady once more, seeming to step a little easier this time around.
