The whole situation was a bit too much for Izzack to understand. He didn't kill people, but in order for them to die properly, he had to be there. He was supposed to help such people in some way, but if that were true, why were people scared of him? It didn't make much sense to him, but a small fire of hope left inside of him forced him to at least try to accept it. "If I am not to kill those whose time is up, then why do I have the ability to cause such violence? Wouldn't magic be useless in such a circumstance?" he asked, not to doubt Atalanta, but to try to explain such things, so that he could hopefully save himself from the Sense of grief he had been feeling when he was told what he was.
Izzack was unsure, however, how to react to Atalanta's suggestion. It was hard to imagine following that girl again. It was so horrid the first time around, he was unsure if he could manage it again, especially since this time he would be walking into these emotions himself, rather than having them thrust upon him out of nowhere. "But if she is undead, and those were her emotions...well...I don't know if I'd want to endure that every second of every day, knowing that it would never get better. Maybe I am weak, but the thought of that terrifies me." he said with a slight shudder.

Atalanta look at Izzy with concern and she shook her head as he spoke of the use of magic. " Magic is not all about harming others, it can be used to help as well. You may be the guide to the other side but you don't have to hurt anyone. You can use your magic to calm angry spirits this I am sure, also you are meant to protect the dead from those who may wish to use them for ill." The Unicorn said in a soft toned voice. She then fell silent once again as Izzy went on to talk about the girl, when he started to think it was weakness he was over come by her emotion Atalanta shook her head again. "No, I don't think its because of weakness.. It may be because she is strong who knows how long this girl as been in this state." Atalanta said and wished she could offer more to help Izzack, she may have studied the reapers but there was still many things she did not about them. " I;m sorry but I don't know what could help you with the emotions.. But I will say this if you keep thinking you are weak you will be overcome. You need to have courage and hold stead fast to the things that lie ahead. " Atalanta said in hopes this would help the young lad.

"I...see," Izzack said, slowly coming to terms with what Atalanta was saying. The main point he took away from her words were that he didn't have to actually kill anyone, which was certainly cause for at least some measure of joy. "I...I'm afraid that I am not the most...courageous man. I...the mere thought of confronting those emotions again, I don't know if I could, if given the chance. I am afraid I would run again, like I did when I followed Amara here. How can I properly...help...people as a reaper if I can't even confront an undead woman? Surely there would be a better option that me." he stated. He was in two minds about that. On one hand, if there was a replacement reaper, then he wouldn't have to do anything. He could go back to being a regular homeless man, and live life free of any responsibility. On the other hand, however, he legitimately did like helping people, and if this reaping then was only about helping people, then perhaps he had found a higher calling, and losing that would rob him of a chance to do some real good in the world. It was hard to decide which would be the better option, and as such, he hoped he would never get the choice.

Atalanta listened as Izzy spoke of not being the bravest person, she could understand that. Not many people could face their fear it was much easier to run away. Though as a being that has lived many life times she knew the best thing was to face one's fear. But she knew she could not force Izzy to do so. He would have to do that in his own time and when he is ready. The Unicorn nodded with understanding. "I understand, it is not easy to face the things you fear. You can simply choose to forget about the girl as well. In the end what you end up doing is up to you."Atalanta said. Then a thought came to her, "Also if you wish to understand your nature as a reaper I can study the great book and tell you what I find out." Atalanta said. Fane had the great book though she knew the young witch would let her have it if asked.
When Izzy said he ran away when he went with Amara, the young teen gave a shocked and annoyed face. "Wait what? Oh nonono we did not run away! I just wanted to bring you to someone who may be able to help! I may not be a real hero like the others but I don't run away." Amara said as she corrected Izzy shaking her finger at him and then crossed her arms with a huff. Yeah she was just tech support but she was proud of what she does. It was better then sitting in her room tinkering with stuff that did not help people. Though when Atalanta spoke of the great magic book Amara blinked, "Hm? Great magic book? You mean the magic book Fane always has with her?" Amara asked. "Yes, it has all recorded magic from our home. I'm sure it would have writings of Grim-reapers in it as well." Atalanta said. "Nice." Amara said with a smile.

"You might not have run away, Amara, but I did. I felt like I had to keep following that woman, but when you gave me a way out from what I now understand was a rightful feeling of obligation, I took it. I ran from those thoughts by following you." Izzack asserted. He didn't know what was going through Amara's mind at the time, but he knew exactly what was going through his. That was a moment of weakness, and as he listened to Atalanta talk about the option of simply forgetting the strange woman who must be going through so much as an undead creation, well, that sparked a tiny fire in his soul. He couldn't let something like that happen. If it scared and hurt him that bad, what must that woman feel, bearing that weight day after day? He didn't know whether or not he wanted to be a reaper, but he knew for certain that he didn't want others to suffer like that, not even for a moment. If being a reaper meant he could help people not go through such things, then he would be the best reaper he could be. He would face his fears, he would do what had to be done. No more running. "I would be incredibly thankful if you could do this for us, miss Lani." he said, a fire burning in his eyes that was not there mere moments ago, his posture suddenly confident, and intent.

When Izzy corrected Amara about his motives of leaving the young teen sighed and shook her head But said nothing, Though as she looked at Izzy she started to see something change about him when Lani spoke to him. It was like a switch was flipped. Atalanta noticed that to when she said he could just forget about the undead girl it not seem to sit well with him. Perhaps though that was he needed to hear. When he said he would like her to look up reapers the unicorn nodded, " Feel free to come visit when ever you wish young Izzack. Hopefully when you return I will know more about the nature of reapers." Atalanta said with a smile. She may not be the queen of the magic beings in this world but she was still willing to look after fellow magic beings.

"I thank you very much for your help. I am in you debt." Izzack said. Then, with all the grace of a peasant's first encounter with a queen, he knelt. It was very stiff, and his bow was more awkward than formal, but Izzack, unused to such things, did the best that he could do. "Should you ever be in need, for anything, I shall do whatever I can to serve." he promised, not moving from his spot. It was as if he had forgotten all the nervousness before, as if this one moment was much too important to worry about seeming a fool, which he likely was. Nothing else mattered, not even Amara, or the undead woman. What mattered was that he show the utmost respect to this creature for aiding him, both in promised knowledge, and in motivation. To that end, he remained silent and kneeling, his pose seeming less awkward for the stillness.
