Name:
Aussa Vonsnickerfritz.
Age:
21
Race:
Human
Powers:She can summon a creature known as an Eidolon.
When she summons her Eidolon, she is able to summon it in one of two forms. The summoner has an inherent connection to their Eidolon. The two are linked together in many ways, such as her being able to see things through its eyes, and the two can communicate telepathically with each other. The summoner is the Eidolons link to this world, and when she is asleep, or unconscious, it disappears back into it's home plane of existence. It takes a full minute to summon her creature, and it can be sent back home instantly. If somebody uses an anti-magic or some kind of dispelling field they can temporarily server their link, making the creature vanish. Should the Eidolon take too much damage, it is sent back to it's plane instead of dying. The next time it's summoned, it would need to be healed. Upon gaining experience, she will be able to give her Eidolon additional features, but she is quite content with the two forms she has it take on. Other than that, she has mild experience with sword combat, and has been recently trying to take up lancing. She also has access to low level magical abilities. Nothing likey to easily kill another thing, but being able to open doors from afar and levitate small objects sometimes has its use.
Drawbacks:Isn't terribly good at fighting. Will probably lose to anybody with experience in a direct fight. Only comes into her combat element when she's fighting right next to Tidbits. She has troubles with maintaining relationships with men, and despite working black market stuff, she is somewhat overly trusting of strangers.
Date of birth:
October 30th
Home:
Aster City
Alignment:Chaotic neutral. I say Chaotic NEUTRAL, although, sometimes she can be borderline Evil. She doesn't respect other peoples property rights. She wouldn't hurt somebody to steal their things, unless they started to attack her and she couldn't just run away. However she wouldn't care if what she steals from them in turn hurts them.
Relationship:
She has two notable people of interest. The first, is her runaway deadbeat rogue of a Husband. Despite all of her efforts and connections, she has no info on his whereabouts. This is for the better though, as she doesn't know what she'd do if she sees him again. The other relationship is with her Eidolon. This creatures name is Tidbits. He's a small hairless critter about the size of a Corgi. His skin is a dark semi translucent purple color. He has 4 limbs, that end in small points. These limbs have 2 joints, and look very much like a spider. Also, similar to a spider, he is adept at crawling along walls and ceilings. He has three large green eyes. His dark smoky somewhat translucent coloring, and small size make him very hard to notice in dim light. He has a large mouth at the bottom of his disc shaped body. The plan is to send him into a house or dungeon to scout the area out, while she takes notes on what she sees though his eyes. She draws maps, and plans covert raids. This is the form he is usually summoned as. The other option, is a bit different. His skin grows rock hard, and lightens up in color to a faded light purple, almost gray. This skin is rock hard. He grows to a size large enough for her to sit and ride on. He loses any bonuses he might have to his stealth when he walks around, as he becomes this heavy dense creature. However, using the mysterious newfound metals in his body, he is able to connect magnetically to the earths field, and levitate up to 10 feet off the ground. Once she learned how to ride him in this form, she knew she wanted to learn how to joust from his back.
Job:
She was able to buy an unlicensed lot somewhere in the slums of Aster city, with the money she saved up from looting dungeons and homes around the area. The people that had owned the building cast magic spells on it to make weak willed and lawful characters from seeing and entering it. There she runs a curio shop. A place in which she sells the things she steals and finds. Over the last couple of years, she has a bit of a collection, and has taken up jewelry making in her free time. The handful of people that know about her, think of her as a connection to the black market, as if you need something she knows a guy.
Appearance:Aussa has brown hair normally, but she dyes it an electric blue color. It goes barely down further than her neck, and is straight. Her eye color is somewhere between crimson and amber. Her chin and nose end in neat points, and she can look really cute when she puffs out her cheeks and pouts. She looks cute even when she's not pouting though. She has light skin, and stands at 5'5. She is built light, and honestly can't fight for very long without becoming sore and winded. Her sword of choice is a an orange steel dyed longsword. It matches her eyes, and is built with a crystallized amber sitting at the bottom of the pommel. She likes to wear a blue dress with a white apron over it, and a rainbow sash accessory that loops from one hip down to the opposite knee, and back up around the other side. This usual outfit of hers also has a red bow sitting the top of a white blouse, and short puffed sleeves.
Personality:Somewhat happy go lucky. She doesn't keep her small shop in good order, so the place is always a mess. She'd leave ancient relics sitting against the wall if they didn't interest her enough to give them the time. That's not to say that she can't focus. When she's in the middle of a business deal or arrangement, she tends to serious up. If she seems like she's being generous though, she might be trying to deceive you or ask for a favor later. If she's guilty of any one crime, it's greed. If somebody comes to her with a proposition that will make them money, she's like to consider it, even if it's something unethical. She wouldn't jump on board right away, but she'd have to mule it over.
This, however, worries Tidbits. He is his own creature, with his own feelings and thoughts. He's not the smartest little creature, but he knows to listen to her. He is only able to exist here because of her, so ultimately, he obeys. His knowledge of right and wrong are entirely based on what he has seen and heard on his adventures, but he can't ignore the gut feelings he has when he knows he is doing something wrong. Tidbits is quiet and when he has these thoughts, he keeps them to himself. He communicates telepathically with Aussa mostly when she either talks to him, or when he sees something he thinks she might need to know. He is capable of talking in English, although he usually doesn't. When he does, it's in an unusually deep voice. This throws people off, and makes them feel uncomfortable, so he squeals lightly and playfully jumps on them instead.
Back to Her. Her favorite thing to do is organize these heists. She'll gather some of her contacts after making a plan, and send them in to collect for her. With a map, knowledge of what monsters lay wait, and where most of the traps are, adventurers pay good money to get her information, or cut her a piece of their loot. If she feels comfortable going along with them, she will. She can see things through tidbits eyes, but she likes to get in there herself every now and then. It's part of the reason she's learning how to protect herself.
History:The history of her Husband isn't a tragic one. It started when she met a small group of travelers. They were passing through a church she was staying at. They had some hostages with them, and were settling down to stay the night. She was just finishing up drawing out her plans for a dungeon, by sending Tidbits in to take a look around. These hostages looked familiar though, so she came up to the party and asked them what was going on. There was an Oriad Cleric, a hulking barbarian woman, a mysterious elven ranger woman, and a small energetic Aasimar child. The people they were transporting back to the city were nobles out of some house or another, whom had been caught plotting treason. Realizing the potential cash involved in this, Aussa insisted that they let her help them, with the promise that they could later come back to her dungeon and help her loot the place. She showed them her maps, and her plans, and it looked solid. The gold would be flowing for everybody, so she became a member of their party. It was awhile later in which they were tasked with finding a specific rowdy person in the city next door. This person wasn't royalty, but did act like it. He was the classic womanizing rogue. Once they found the man, the group was forced to escort him out of the city in a way that felt more like smuggling out a criminal ready for execution. Despite the circumstances of their new 'ally' they stumbled into an orc encampment and decided to ruin the place. As soon as the last orc went down, Aussa and the Rogue slipped into the tent with the intention of taking things without letting the party know. The two didn't coordinate this, and they both entered from opposite sides of the tent, just to look at each other, put their finger to their lips, and split their findings secretly among each other. After this, an in-party romance formed, and the two left the party for each other. At some point, they got married. But one day, he left her. Suddenly. No warning. Part of her suspects maybe to find him dead in a ditch somewhere. Perhaps kidnapped. Maybe he ran off with another woman. Despite her skills at adventuring though, she decided that she wouldn't waste her life looking for him. This is how she ended up in Aster city, originally looking for her Husband. It's also where she decided to give up and set up shop.
Anything else:Aussa is one of my characters from Pathfinder. The game was ended rather abruptly, and I never got to play her for as long as I wanted. The group fell apart right after that guy left. The player I can't recall. If somebody would be interested in making this Rogue character, that could be an interesting point of conflict. The only thing that I find is terribly important if somebody chose to do that is that this person would have to make the character flamboyant, inappropriate, womanizing, and spontaneous. Another note, is that Tidbits comes from another plane of existence. He comes from a place that is cold, dark, and crushing. The emptiness of it is like stepping out into space, but not being able to see any stars. It's unsure how it got there, or why, but this horrible place of isolation is where it surrenders back to when it's knocked out, or when she sleeps. Because he's lived such a cruel life, Tidbits cherishes any moment in which he isn't there. He bravely protects Aussa because if she didn't summon him, he'd be lost forever. It's become a bit of a complex for the little creature.
