Jade was in the safe house watching TV, it was the news though she soon started to channel surf. Though none of the shows really caught her eye, so she then turned off the TV and got off the couch. She then made her way to the kitchen and started to make her lunch. She had gotten good at cooking, studying cook books even watching a few cooking shows and even the neighbors in the area she had made friends with helped her to learn. It was nice to have friends, and be able to move about. It was a very nice change from her years of being in the lab... There she was not allowed out of her room unless she was training and the only human contact she got is when she was training. For now Jade was lost in her thoughts as she cooked. The meal she was cooking was a pasta dish called Fettuccine Alfredo. Though soon she was brought out of her thoughts when a unfamiliar mind was near. They where not coming from the tunnels, Jade had a feeling it was the Doctor, Sean had told her about No matter she was going to finish cooking, she even had enough to share it seemed if the doctor was hungry.

Johnathan wiped his shoes delicately on the floor mat before he entered the backdoor of the house, followed by three of his more...fit family members. As it was, he didn't expect this meeting to come to blows, and he didn't know how much extra muscle would help if it did. That is, if what Julia said about this girl was correct, and she was a "Supa powered brain person who can read minds and move things with her mind, and move minds, and read things with her mind an-" Johnathan had had to cut her off at that point of her report. There was only so much a man could take, even from his favorite subject. Nevertheless, he entered thinking only kindly things. The things one might expect from an aging old man, which suited him just fine. Who knew how deeply this girl could penetrate his thoughts, but hopefully she couldn't go much deeper than the surface. "Oh!" he started, doing his best to appear genuinely surprised at Jade's presence in his home, "I...did not expect to see anybody in my house. Are you...Is there anything I can do for you?" Truth be told, he certainly was a little confused, just a little. A normal girl this young would have run and hid when she had heard the backdoor opening, but this one had not. perhaps "Super duper serious" had meant more than he had thought. Interesting. Very interesting indeed.

Jade kept cooking as if it was the most normal thing as the Doctor and his goons walked into the house, she was just starting to finish up when the old human walked into the kitchen acting shocked that she was there. She looked at him with her normal emotionless gaze clearly not fazed that the doctor with a few of his goons where here. Jade could tell the doctor was acting his motions did not match the reaction he was giving. Julia told him she was here, just as she thought she would. Sean had been wrong that Julia would most likely forget about her. As much as she wanted to call out the doctor on his little act Jade was going to do what Sean told her to. " Hello Doctor I have heard so much about you. Sean said you where a kind and wonderful man that you would not mind if I lived in your house. I was homeless you see. Would you and your friends like something to eat?" Jade asked as she then started to prepare the table and started to place the food she had been cooking on plates. She did not like the idea of throwing Sean under the bus.... But for now she would do what he suggested.

"Ah, so you know Sean, eh? Good lad, good lad. Well, I don't know about 'wonderful', but I do try to help those in need when I can. I would love some food, but I already ate, and, well, when you get to my age, you don't tend to eat very much anymore. I'm sure-oh! That's another thing about age, I am very sorry, I never even introduced myself! You may call me Johnathan, my dear, and this is Peter, right there is Hans, and the big fellow here is Dmitri.
I'm sure they would love to take you up on your offer of food." Johnathan said, the 'kindly old man' act coming a bit easier as he started getting a grasp on the situation. So, it was Sean who brought her here? Well, that could be either a point of contention between the man and him, or it could be used against Sean. A bargaining chip. Very important information indeed. "Would you mind if I asked you your name, dear? I don't want to disrespect you too much." he asked. Calling someone 'dear' when he knew their name was somewhat irritating, but there was nothing to be done about it without her telling him her name herself.

Just as Jade had thought.. It was a bad idea to tell John that it was Sean that let her stay.. The old man was trying his best to hide his thoughts from her and normally she would just read surface thoughts. But this time.. She needed to dive a little deeper for she felt the weak looking old man before her was dangerous. And he did indeed bring the other men here as back up. As if he was expecting a fight. When he asked her name Jade was tempted to call him out on it. But she felt that may be the wrong move. As she remembered that Sean said he likes to be in control and would be nicer if he felt like he was. The young beastmen nodded and then placed the food on the table for the other men and herself. She then sat down at the table and started to eat. " My name is Jade." she said leaving out the fact she used to be called project 5. For now Jade was going to cooperative, Though if she felt things where going bad she would just leave this house and then contact Sean to tell him what happened and warn him as well.

This one...was going to be a challenge, Johnathan determined. It was difficult to get a solid read on her. Of course, it did not matter. Sooner or later, something would slip. "Jade...Jade..." he said quietly, almost as if he was tasting it, "A fine name, Jade. Your mother must have been very kind, to give such a lovely name to you, yes?" he asked simply. Perhaps bringing up parents would cause more of a reaction. Doing such had a tendency to work for most people. Then again, this was not most people. Meanwhile, Those that Johnathan brought with him gladly began eating, obviously not knowing Johnathan's true intentions here. As far as they saw it, this little girl was fine by the doctor, so she was fine by them. Any tension that they had when they saw an intruder when they entered the house was completely melted away, and they joked and laughed amongst themselves like children while the adults spoke.

Jade did not react much when John asked about parents, she never had any and never really desired to have any. She only knew what they where though after reading books once she got to the outside world. " I have never had a Mother. Jade is what I have been called because of my eyes. So I made it my name." Jade said as she ate more of the food and watched as John's men also ate. She knew something was off they had the same feeling as Julia, something was off with their mind. Though now was not the time to dive into that. Right now she had to focus on John she knew he was trying to dig into her past now. Though where she came from is something she was not willing to share with him. " If you are not hungry would you wish for a drink?" Jade asked as she looked at John her expression still the same as before.

Well, that was certainly an important bit of information. No mother...That might prove important indeed. "Ah, don't bother yourself, this is my home after all, and you are my guest, in a matter of speaking. I can get myself some water." Johnathan said, making his way slowly but surely to the kitchen. How best to crack this situation? Hrmm..."So, my dear Jade, would you mind telling me how you know Sean?" he asked as he got back. "He is a rather sociable one, but he's never gone out of his way to help someone so much before. You must have made a big impression on him!" he chuckled idly. He supposed he could have just asked Sean about this situation later, but hearing both sides of the case would certainly paint a clearer picture that just hearing what Sean had to say, especially since this girl was so...blunt.

Jade nodded when John wanted to get a drink himself, she ate some more of her food and looked at John when he came back. So now he was wanting to ask about how she met Sean. Well that would not hurt Jade thought. She stayed relaxed taking another bite of her food, " I was wondering around the beach and saw some children playing in the sand. I thought it was odd but decided to try it anyway. As I worked on my sand castle that is when Julia approached me challenging me to a sand castle war. I won and we spoke till Sean come up to us We poke for a while then I left. A while after that I met up with Sean at the amusement park. I was drawn there by the lights and laughter. After wondering around I found Sean there alone and spoke to him. After that we went on some rides then played some games. I won the rigged bottle game. It was fun. After that Sean asked if I wanted to play more games but I said I had no place to store the bunny and the bear I had won and told Sean I was homeless. That is when he said I could come here and that you the wonderful doctor would not mind at all if I took care of the house. And I have taken good care of it. No dust will be found if you try to look. So are you pleased how well the house is clean?" Jade said as she looked at John tilting her head a bit. As if truly wondering if John was pleased with her efforts.

"I see," John chuckled idly as he heard the girl's story, "that you've had an interesting time of it, as of late. Sean always did like helping those in need. The house is perfectly fine, dear. I see nothing amiss. Thank you for your efforts." As it was, he didn't really care whether or not the house was in disarray. Such things didn't exactly matter in the grand scheme of things. He could always have just sent someone to clean the place if that was really a concern.
Without warning, one of the men John brought with him spoke up. "What I'm wondering, though," he began, "Is how you made such an impression on Seano. He's always so slow to warm up to someone. You must have made quite an impression on him, miss Jade." he spoke between bites of pasta. John let it happen, not that there was much he could really do about it. Any objection would have been out of place from the kindly old man he was pretending to be. Besides, Peter was keeping the conversation going in a way that suited his purposes, so it was for the best. He could continue steering this conversation towards Sean, and his relationship with this girl, without making it obvious that that was what he was doing.

Jade had taken notice the questions where turning to Sean, she looked at John and the man who had asked the same questions. She then tilted her head as if implying she was confused. " I don't understand the question." She said blinking a little. In ways she was telling the truth half trying to find a way to change the topic. Once she finished the food that was on her plate Jade then picked it up and went over to the kitchen sink and started to rinse off the plate and the silverware. As she did this she took a moment to use her powers to reach out to Sean, to tell him what was going on and to warn him. Sean, The doctor is here and asking me questions. I do not think he is happy that I am here and is now trying figure out why you wanted to help me. Asking what impression I must have left on you." Jade said using her mind. Her voice was calm as she was not in a panic she was using more of a informative tone.

"Ah, Peter, the answer to that is rather simple. Sean may be gruff towards most people, but those he sees as something of a son or daughter, or even a younger sibling, he tends to 'warm up to' rather quickly. Something in his past, I suppose. I don't know if he realizes that that's what he does, but it's something I've seen before." John offered. The statement was...not entirely true. This was a situation that he had seen many times before, true, but this was the first time that he had seen it occur in Sean. A lie by omission, not a true lie at all. He continued to watch Jade as he delicately washed his glass, and put it away, looking for any sign of this new information affecting her.
Meanwhile, Sean froze as the familiar voice entered his head. "...Shit. SHIT!" he shouted, mindless of who heard him. It was a somewhat dead street, but he managed to turn what few heads there were his way.
"This is bad, Oh lord above this is bad. Okay, okay, what can I do? Okay, first things first, I need to get there." With that, he was off. practically sprinting towards the safehouse, expecting the worst of the whole situation.

Jade felt the panic coming from Sean she now felt she should not have contacted him at all. Now he was coming though Jade was sure that would a bad idea seeing how panicked he was right now. The Doctor would read him like a open book and know something is up. " No Sean do not come over here." Jade said firmly with her mind she also started to send him calm feelings to try and calm the man down. So far everything is fine, he is just asking me questions And he is not alone he is here with three others." Jade said further explaining what was going on right now. All the while keeping her expression blank so not to alert the Doctor to anything. " If you come it will only make things worse for the doctor is able to read you. As he cannot read me like he would be able to do to most others. Stay calm and I will come to you when I can. Please." Jade said this time with pure genuine concern for her friend. She just hoped he would listen.. If not Jade would have to come up with plan and fast.
When she was done rising off her dishes she then placed them in the dishwasher to wash them later, though John eyeing her did not escape her. She did not give any reaction to John's guess as to why Sean had wanted to help her. She just walked over to the living room and sat on the couch. " Hmm I see. I remind him of someone then?" Jade said in reply to John's guess though not giving any real reaction to it. She was also just trying to get the doctor to talk now, trying keep him talking. She now was going to be very careful what she said for now on so not to further endanger Sean or herself.

"I suppose you must, dear. Perhaps you remind him of himself. Of course, I cannot go into detail about this. Doctor patient confidentiality, and all that. I do hope you don't mind." John explained, walking back to where his subjects were waiting. "He's a good man, but do be careful around him. He has a darker side to him. There's been others close to him that he has hurt, and hurt badly. I'm not just talking about physical pains,
either. I have worked with him extensively on that behavior, but please be wary, if something seems amiss." as it was, his warning was the complete truth. Sean had had problems with those close to him in the past. The only thing John didn't do was put the best face on it. No need. If this girl could read minds, let her read that, pure and simple.
Sean, meanwhile, was still running for the safe house, heedless of Jade's warning. Even if it was obvious that he was distressed, even if there was nothing he could do to help...damn it, there had to be something he could do. He couldn't let Jade deal with the man by herself. What kind of person would be be? What sort of person would let someone they were taking care of deal with that sort of situation on their own? Someone less than human, to be sure, and so he kept running. Just a few more blocks, and he'd be there. Just a few more, he kept telling himself.

Well it seemed Sean was going to ignore her.. Very well it was time to make her way out of the house then. Would not do for both of them to be in the house with the doctor. " Alight Sean you leave me no choice but to leave the house." Jade said once again speaking to Sean with her mind. She did have everything under control though she knew the moment Sean got here things would go bad and fast. Jade listened as John once again spoke this time in warning about Sean and how those he had been close to in the past had gotten hurt. That where is a darkness inside the man. Jade did not really care what may have happened in Sean's past.. If this was John's way of trying to get her to dislike Sean he was sadly mistaken " Hmm I see." Jade said as she then raised her arm to look at the watch on on her wrist, she blinked a few times then lowered her arm. "" Hmm It is time for me to go. I promised Ms. Marshall I would walk her dog today. If you please excuse me." "Jade said as she then started to make her way to the door. Was that a lie yes, yes it was but she did sometimes walk the neighbors dogs and even did some lawn chores for others It was the only way she had been able to get money and also to get to know everyone living in this in neighborhood. Fact sometimes they came by with food because she had become so well liked. She was sure they would miss her but that could not be helped. Right now she had to stop Sean from walking right into danger because of her.
