"Huuu...! Where'd he gooo...?" Sierra whined, craning her neck over a crowd of pedestrians, hopping up and down on her tippy toes. She pressed the edge of her hand against her forehead, shielding her eyes from the sun as she glanced around. No good. She had been in pursuit of a man that she swore was wanted by Aegis Wing, but.... It looked like he got away. Drat. She wasn't good at recognizing people, anyway... Her forte was her smell and hearing - both of which were dulled by the constant bustle of the city. Too many smells and too many sounds to single them out on a busy street.
But she had heard his voice! She had heard his voice up close, right before this chase started, and she was sure it matched the sample clip that HQ provided. So, she had gone after him. In hindsight, it probably wasn't the best idea to yell about him being a criminal, since that would spook anyone, innocent or not... But what's done was done, and now she had to live with those consequences. Sierra wouldn't be discouraged, though. She now knew better, so next time... Next time, she'd get him for sure! It was just a matter of finding out where this goober went! And with the help of some passerbys, she was able to regain his trail.
She peeked around a corner, ears twitching in anticipation. The suspected ~crimeboy~ was seated on an old box, catching his breath in a small, open alleyway. Sierra smirked to herself. This time, she'd get him! She began to make her move, but...
"Wah!"
The rabbit girl stumbled over an old trash can and tripped onto the ground into view, alerting the suspect. He bolted immediately. "Ack! Wait, no...!" Sierra reached her hand out as she got back to her knees, helpless to stop him. Gah, why wouldn't this man just cooperate? He's making this a lot harder than he needs to...! She frowned determinedly, springing back to her feet. "Come on, I was just kidding about the crime thing...!" She yelled, chasing after him once more, hoping to erase his idea of herself being a threat to him. "I'm just a cute little bunny giiirl...! She called out as she ran. "I thought guys like you liked that sort of thing...!"

When Sierra had come through, Izzack had been training. He wasn't training his magic, however, but rather, he was training to get rid of his...weakness. He had gotten the idea from when he had seen Mr. Blackmoore perform his magic show. If Izzack wanted to get rid of his social anxiety, why not do a performance himself? It was that mentality that he found himself standing as menacingly as he could in the middle of the sidewalk as the little rabbit charged through shouting something or other about a crime. for a split second, he had started after her, then he halted. subconsciously he pulled up his sleeve and looked down at the tiny scar on his arm. A memento of the last time he had tried to help this specific bunny girl. Did he want to go through that again? Well, no, obviously, no one would. That being said...she didn't...seem that scared this time, so maybe that particular misunderstanding could be avoided? Also, if she was chasing a criminal...well, it was his duty to help, right? But what if someone else tried to protect her from him without knowing that her and him were friends, and he tried to hurt him because of her and she and him and her an- "Ah screw it." he said, as he threw caution to the wind and chased after Sierra.
Izzack ran into the alleyway that he saw the little rabbit go into just in time to see her and some shady looking guy run off again. Well, it would seem that she was definitely chasing, not being chased this time. Maybe misunderstandings could be avoided. Well, not completely, because apparently Sierra calling the man a criminal was a misunderstanding? Add that with the comment that shady guys like that would like balls of energy like Sierra, and Izzack was getting pretty confused. Still, maybe this was misdirection. Maybe she was trying to get the man to slow down with offers of peace, and friendship. "Sir! Izzack shouted as he ran after the two, doing his best to catch up to Sierra, "Sir, please stop, and we shall talk about this!" he tried to shout out in his best heroic voice, deep and assertive, but all he got was a deep, shaky sounding shout. Well, that was something else to work on, he supposed, but another time, helping friends came first.

Hmm...? That voice sounded familiar, but Sierra had no time to turn and look. She had a baddie to catch! "C'mooon!" She whined at the suspect. "Don't run! I just wanna help!" Technically, it was the truth. Maybe bringing the guy in wouldn't help him, but it'd definitely help anyone else who's been bothered by him. Either way, he still didn't seem convinced.
"I'll help you shop for groceries!" She called out in a sing song tone as she ran. "Or what about mail, do you have anything you need to send?! I can help with shipping!" Sierra drifted around a corner, scurrying after the man. "C'mon, c'mon! Let me help! Don't you want me to handle your package?!" She yelled out enthusiastically, much the amusement to a handful of bystanders. What once looked like a serious pursuit now appeared to be some sort of scene out of a romantic comedy. "Geez, mister... You're not slowing down for anything...!"

Okay this was getting confusing. What exactly did Sierra want with this man? It seemed that she didn't even properly know, what with the rapidly changing offers. "S-Sierra! What's going on!?" he shouted as he continued his chase. "Who is this man? Why do you want to do his groceries? Where's this package that you want to handle? What's going on here?" he repeated, drawing ever closer to the bunny girl. Turns out, all those times he had to run away from people really helped when he was trying to run after people. Still, he didn't know just how long he could keep this up. Sooner or later, something would have to give, and he could only hope that this man Sierra was chasing would fall before he did. Otherwise, he might never get any answers, and this whole stupid chase would be for nothing.

"Hmm...?" Sierra's ears twitched. That voice was still following her? Hrrrm... Was it one of this suspect's accomplices? No, no, he would've sounded angrier if that was the case... But what if he had a weapon? Ack, but she couldn't look back! Suddenly, she dipped down as she ran. This guy seemed just within arm's reach... Maybe if she could just...!
"HYAH!"
She sprung back up, diving at the man - a feat that would have worked, but... for whatever reason, she missed. It was a narrow miss, but the suspect evaded her grasp, darting away. For the risk she took, Sierra ate concrete. She winced, ears drooping as she found herself hugging the ground. "Owowow..."

"Sierra! Please let me in on what's going on h-ERE!?!?" Izzack shouted in surprise as Sierra suddenly dove...and fell. Near as he had managed to get, and running as fast as he was, Izzack found himself unable to stop himself from tripping over her in time. Quickly, he found the ground rising up to meet him, and stuck one hand out, more as an attempt to spare his face than to do anything about his predicament. Luckily for him, however, his instincts kicked in, and he used his momentum subconsciously to change his direction in the air, and with a push from the arm touching the ground, he flipped, and
Izzack landed hard on his back. as he hit the ground, all the air that he had ever breathed in his lifetime was sucked out of him. "uuhhh....a....ahhh....oww..." he struggled to get out as he lay there, curled up in pain aside Sierra. Soon, the difficulty breathing subsided, though the pain kept him from getting up. "Uuugh...y-you...okay Sierra?" he groaned, leaning his head back in order to see his friend, a friendship she had insisted on, he noted as he sat there in his pain. A friendship she forced on him, but it was a friendship nonetheless, and he couldn't help but feel bad for the little rabbit.

"Owie..." She mumbled again, though her ears perked up at the new voice addressing her. "...Huh? ...Oh, it's you! The spooky guy who smells funny! Hi, Spooky!" She sat up, criss-crossing her legs as she peered over Izzack. "I'll probably just get a few bruises, but nothing a few days won't fix!" She grinned, though the grin quickly vanished. "Oh, wait...! That guy...!" The rabbit sprung to her feet in urgency, her hand shielding her forehead. She leaned forward, trying to make out figures in the distance. After a moment, she sighed. "Aww, beeeeans." Her arms drooped as she slouched backwards, looking to the sky with a whine. "I laaaaawwwst hiiiiiiim..."

"Spooky...uh...you could just call me Izzack, you know." Izzack told Sierra. He didn't seem upset that she forgot his name, or even that she apparently thought he smelt...funny? He thought he had fixed that...maybe he didn't use enough soap? Either way, it didn't matter. What did matter was that, in their brief moment on the ground, the person that Sierra had been chasing had, well, gotten away. "Was he important, Sierra? Who is he?" he asked, getting to his feet as well, though notably slower. "Well, in any case, I'm sure we can find him again. I'm sure he couldn't have gotten far, right?" he offered reassuringly, yet he couldn't help but feel finding the man would be tough. It was a big city, after all.

Sierra puffed up her cheeks in a pout, looking aside. "Yeah, sure thing, Spooky..." She mumbled absentmindedly, arms crossed. It was just for a moment, though. She turned back to him, unraveling her arms to clench her fists in determination. "But that guy? That guy was a baddie!" Her pout intensified. "I kinda goofed by letting him know that I knew he was a baddie, though..." Her ears twitched. "So I thought, if I made myself not a threat, he'd stop running away!" She seemed proud of herself, holding a fist against her chest as she puffed it out. "...But he didn't." She quickly deflated. "Then I laaaawwwwst him..." She repeated with another whine. The rabbit slouched again, ears drooping at the inconvenience.
"...Wait!" Her ears shot up and her posture straightened. "Waitwaitwait, so you're gonna help me look for him?" She leaned in excitedly, much too far into Izzack's personal space. "Because, well... Neat!" She pulled back as suddenly as she had leaned in, clasping her hands together. "I may smell and hear pretty well, but that's kinda moot in a city like this!" She then grinned, rubbing the back of her head sheepishly. "...And I'm kiiiiind of... suuuuper bad when it comes to remembering faces." She shrugged. "It's pretty inconvenient, but what can I do? ...Hehe! In fact, I probably wouldn't have recognized you if I didn't hear your voice!" Sierra pat him on the back amiably - maybe a tiny bit too hard - but the friendly intention was there.

"He's a criminal? Well, I suppose I should have figured that from what you were yelling..." Izzack said, making it a point not to mention that, while the man they were chasing wasn't convinced, Sierra's misdirection had worked on him, if only a little bit. Well, at least everything was cleared up n-
Woah! too close! Izzack recoiled a bit as Sierra zoomed in real close to him, seeming almost like he was about to fall right back over, just as he was starting to get up. "Woah! Okay! Yes! I will help you find the man yes!" Jesus, this girl was excitable! It was just about too much for poor Izzack's heart, this much energy. "Like I said, I'm sure we can find him. Do you have some sort of picture or something? I didn't really get a good look at his f-OOF" Again with the crazy actions! What was with this girl? Did she have to be in a constant state of motion like this? Izzack shook it off best he could, giving a quick, strained chuckle as he slowly straightened his back out again, still sore from the landing, and now this aggressive patting. "Like I was...uh...saying. If we can get a picture of this guy from your fancy agency, I'm sure we can find him again, and bring him to justice!" he offered, pumping his fist in an effort to look much more confident than he really was.

"Oh! Yeah! Sure!" Sierra nodded. "Though... Isn't it kinda far from here? Who knows where that guy could run off to in the time it takes for us to go see the Cappytain?!" She frowned, ears flopping. "Can't you just use your magicy stuff to detect evil or something?" She turned aside, reaching into the tiny bag hanging off her belt. "I meaaan... I also have a couple of pictures of some baddies, but..." She pulled out a few "wanted" pages weathered with several folds. "...I couldn't tell you which one he was! Plus, it only works if I can stare at their face and compare the pictures real hard..." The rabbit tilted her head aside with another sigh, this time amused. "Luckily, I'm cute enough that most of the guys I've compared to my pictures think I'm just checking them out, heehee."

"Well...uh...m-magic doesn't really work that way, Sierra. I can't do something like that, really." Izzack clarified. It was, however, a boldfaced lie. He knew that you could use magic to track someone, though he didn't really know how close you had to be to them. His master had used it on him when he had felt that he had enough of the stress of training, and had tried to run...both times, actually. Still, he never really got a chance to see how his master did it, and he didn't know where to even begin in replicating the effect. "But...uh...well, alright. Maybe we should just try to see if we can find this guy with this picture! I'll help. I'm no expert at remembering faces, but...y'know, I am probably be- hmmm, I mean, two heads will be better than one, eh? Besides, if he sees you, maybe he'll run away again, then we'll know it's him!" he offered. It seemed a good plan to him, and he took a couple of the pages gingerly from Sierra's hands, and set off. This might have started with trying to help out Sierra, but Izzack was dedicated. after all, heroes didn't let criminals run free, right? Someone had to stop this man before he did...wait, what did he do again? WELL, it didn't matter! A crook is a crook, no matter what they did, and Izzack was going to help bring him down!

"Goodie!" Sierra clapped her hands together, then turned aside. "Now, let's see..." She furrowed her brow, ears twitching in thought. "He went off... that way, right?" She puffed her chest out - almost comically - and strode forward. "Then let's go! It'll be easy, just like you said," she nodded as she marched forward. "If whoever it is starts running away from the sight of me, then we'll know it's him! ...Besides!" She interrupted her goofy march to spin around to face Izzack as she walked backwards. "I'm super cute! Even if we weren't looking for a crime boy, I'd say it'd be pretty fishy if someone ran away from me without reason..." She shrugged with a laugh. "I mean, who would be afraid of me? I'm a rabbit! it's not like I'm scary or anything, haha~!"

It was a good idea, Izzack conceded as he followed. Either they'd find the guy, which...would be a tad difficult, if he was to be honest with himself, though certainly not impossible. Definitely not, but if he could stay on the lookout for people acting strange when they saw Sierra, well, that'd make things a whole lot easier. Awesome. Alright, so there was a plan. Now all Izzack had to do was not mess up. He could do that. It was gonna be easy. Just keep an eye on-
Izzack realized that he hadn't been really listening to Sierra. "Oh! Uh...I mean...you certainly aren't...physically intimidating, I'll agree." he said hastily. It would appear, though, that Sierra didn't know how frightening she could be. After all, taking all that initiative when they first met? forcing that swordsman to accompany her? Breaking into homes? No, this girl was something to be reckoned with. She just wasn't much of a fighter.
Izzack pushed those thoughts away with some effort as they started their search anew. He couldn't let himself get distracted. He tried matching some of the faces he saw to the ones in the pictures, but mostly he was just keeping an eye on the people who would probably be the first to see Sierra. He was looking for any measure of unease, anything that gave away this criminal. Surely he had to slip up...right?

The two wandered around a bit, Sierra taking the lead with a bounce in her step. The city was so big, it almost seemed impossible that they would find that guy again! The girl tried to be a bit more proactive, not-so-subtly sniffing at people as they walked past, earning her quite a few annoyed looks. It was... probably not the best strategy for laying low, but Sierra seemed oblivious to the fact.
And yet, somehow... it worked? The man must've saw her sniffing at people, because Sierra just barely caught sight of someone bolting at the far end of the block. "Oh! Oh oh!" She hopped up and down. "Maybe that was him!" She clenched her fists excitedly, ears angling in excited determination. "Hey! Hey waaaait~!" She yelled, her cheery tone bright enough to hide the fact that this man on the run maaay have been dangerous. As far as anyone else was concerned, she was just an eccentric girl trying to say hello to a stranger, rather than a bounty hunter pursuing a wanted man. While that meant no civilians could lend a hand in taking down this criminal, it was probably for the better - people in a panic would be much harder for them to deal with rather than people normally going about their day. Ignorance is bliss and all that.
