It had been around five months when Sean had let Jade stay in this house, during all that time she cleaned the house of the dust and among other things. She even did small jobs around her neighborhood. From walking dogs, to mowing lawns and even baby sitting. She had become well known around the neighborhood. A neighbor even taught her how to cook, she was not the best in the world but not the worst ether. Jade also did keep in contact with Sean every once in a while just to keep him up dated on things so he would hopefully not worry. All and all Jade was doing great for herself and so far no signs of John or his family members. It was the afternoon and Jade had been cleaning again till she looked at the clock, " Hmm time to eat" Jade said as she put her cleaning stuff away then watched her hands. She then got a skillet, some oil and seasoning out. She was going to cook some fish for lunch, she then got everything ready and started to cook the fish she had bought from the store the other day.

The doctor was simply put, the best. Complexly put, there were no words strong enough to praise the doctor with. It had only taken five months, and he had saved her once again. This was why Julia was here. She had been cleaning every single empty safe house out of gratitude for the work that John had put in for her, getting her out of jail and back into his custody. Bubbling with excitement, she practically slammed open the door. "ALRIGHT! ANYBODY HOOOOOOOOO-oh this one need's cleaning bad! It smells like fish in here!" she chirped, shocked for only a moment at the pungent odor.
Without wasting any time, she made her way to the kitchen, where the smell seemed to be coming from. "Alright! let's get star-Oh hey Jade! How are you!? It's been too long!" she exclaimed. If she was shocked, or even surprised that Jade was here, when this house was supposed to be abandoned, she didn't show even a hint of it underneath her bubbly wall of joy. "Oh! You're the one cooking fish! Neat! That would explain the smell! Where have you been, anyway? I haven't seen you since the beach! Remember? With the hot dogs? We gave you your name there!" she continued, not seeming to wait for Jade to respond to a question before asking another one.

Even before Julia entered the house Jade could her the woman's thoughts. So she had a bit of warning she was going to have a visitor. Though seeing as Jade knew Julia the young bestmen relaxed a bit and kept on cooking. When Juila entered the house and came into the kitchen Jade looked at the woman and waited for her finish speaking, " Yes I remember the day at the beach." Jade replied, how could she forget? It was the day she first got a real name. " I have been exploring the city and living on the streets." Jade said being truthful that is what she had been doing up to five months ago when she met up with Sean again. " Would Julia like some fish? I have plenty to share. " Jade offered and if Julia said yes she would be the first person Jade would be cooking for other then just herself.

"Living on the streets?" Julia said, seeming more confused than concerned, though certainly still concerned. "But you're in one of the doctor's houses. That's not on the streets at all...I don't get it..." she concluded. seeming at a loss. It just didn't make sense. How could she be homeless while in a home? That'd be like drowning while in the desert, or being thirsty in the ocean! It seemed impossible to her that such a thing could even be said as a simple statement. "No thank you, I don't want to die yet." Julia responded absentmindedly to Jade's offer. She forgot to mention, of course, her deadly allergy to fish, though that was in part because she forgot that that was the reason she could die if she ate fish, rather than...well, simply the fact that she could die if she ate fish.

Jade once again found herself reading Julia's it was a habbit she picked up when she was spying on her makers, they did not know she could do that and was thanks to that she learned what they wanted her to do was wrong. And she did not want to kill others who have done nothing to her. Rather the target was bad or not. So Jade nodded, " I see you are allergic to fish. I can make you something else if you wish." Jade said as she kept cooking her fish. " Up to five months ago I was homeless, then I met Sean at the amusement park and he arranged it with the Doctor so I could live here." Jade explained, it was a lie of course but that is what Sean said to do if anyone of the family ever showed up.

"Allergic??? OH YEAH! That's right! I forgot!" Julia said, seeming rather genuine in her statements. "I'm fine though, I'm here to clean, and eating only means having more things to clean and while cleaning is fun, I have other houses which I need to clean and as such I should not be cleaning here for too long" she stopped to breathe, "Wait, you're part of the family!? THAT'S GREAT NEWS! We'll be able to spend so much more time together! Did you like the doctor? He's real nice, isn't he? He's the one that got me out of jail, you know!" There seemed to be no end to Julia's joy that Jade was one of them, even though Jade had not said anything to confirm nor deny such a thing. As far as Julia saw it, she was living here, John knew that she was living here, therefore, Jade was part of the family.

Jade nodded as Juila spoke though the bestman did not look up at her much as she was cooking after all. When she spoke of cleaning the house again Jade spoke up, " I have cleaned this house, though if you wish you can look around for anything I may have missed or not gotten to yet." Jade said in her normal deadpan tone of voice, not that she could stop Julia anyway. she seemed the type to do something when she set her mind to it so saying no seemed a bit pointless. Then Julia went on about how happy she was to have Jade in the family. That was not true though Jade was going to pretend. " yes the Doctor is very wonderful allowing me to stay in this house, its much better then living on the streets." Jade said doing her best to praise a man she had never even met. And Also secretly reading into Julia's mind.
When Julia said she had been in jail that caused Jade to look up a little at Julia. Jail that is where bad humans went when they broke the law or hurt others. Julia seemed like a nice person why was she put in jail? " If you don't mind me asking, why where you in jail?" Jade asked and even if Julia did not want to talk she would still be thinking about it so she would get the info she wanted ether way.

"Truth be told, I don't know why I was even in jail! I know I didn't do anything wrong, because John praised me when I got out. Silly cops must have gotten the wrong person!" As it was, Julia didn't really remember all that much about that day. She remembered being at the bank with some friends at the bank. She remembered being hit with some gust of air by some kid, and then she remembered waking up in a police van. Maybe they thought the wind came from her! That could explain it! that was silly, though, why would she blast herself with air? Did police even think anymore? Boy was she glad that John was on her side through thick and thin. "It sure is nice having such a smart doctor! Without him, I might still be in jail for no reason, but he got me back under his car lickety split!" she chirped. She seemed more energetic every time she mentioned Johnathan.

Hmm did not know why she was in jail... Jade would have just read her mind more and used her powers to fix Julia's broken memory but Julia may notice her trying to do that.. And that with her mind the way it is Jade would have issues anyway. Though she did get glimpses of a boy, it was the same boy she had seen in Sean's thoughts. Sean had felt bad for the boy and there was pain there as well. Though seeing as Sean seemed not to want her to know she did not press it. but she did get the name of the boy. Taylor. Perhaps when this was over Jade would find this Taylor. " I see the Doctor really is wonderful." Jade said doing her best to give a smile though as there was no real emotion behind it, it was a bit awkward again.

"I know! Isn't he just the best? You just wait, he's gonna make you feel like a new person, if you just give him time. He's helped all of us, you know. He takes care of us and makes us feel better whe-YOU'RE SMILING. This is the first time I think I have seen you smile Jade! I see that the doctor has already made progress with you, huh!? That's splendid news!" Julia cheered. There were few things she liked more than seeing her friends happy, though she couldn't really tell that the smile was forced, and if she could, she'd probably just think that Jade was not used to the action. "We should celebrate! You haven't lived until you smile, I say, so this is like your birthday!" she continued. It was hard to tell if she was being serious about that being a saying of hers.

Jade listened as Julia just went on and on about the doctor, Jade could just feel the love she had for this man.. But Jade just felt something was wrong she did not know what it was though.. Then Julia really got happy when she smiled and wanted to start a party. Jade shook her head at that though, " Sorry I don't have time for a party I am very busy." Jade said as she then turned off the heat on the stove and then moved her fully cooked fish to a plate that also had mashed potato's and string beans. " The Doctor has set up many tasks for me to do that is to help me learn emotion. I cannot stray from them sorry." Jade said yet again telling a lie. She then moved her plate the table and sat down on the chair and started to est her food. " You also have a job you must do, I'm sure the Doctor would be very proud once you finish." Jade said trying to remind Julia of the task that brought her here in the first place.

"Awww...no fun, but I guess if you have to, you have to. What kind of tasks does he have you doing?" Julia asked. She always loved learning the things John had the family do to help them. Knowing meant that she could help them help themselves, and that helped her help herself, so John said. "If you need anything at all, you better believe that I'm here for you! The cleaning is a surprise anyway, so if I'm slower with it, that just means I'm sneakier and the doctor won't find out! So I'm ready, willing, and able to help you overcome your problems! After all, what are friends for, anyway?" she offered. As it was, she knew that, if given the choice between her cleaning and her helping a friend in need, John would choose the latter every time. That was just the kind of guy he was, selfless to the end!

Hmmm Julia was the stubborn type.. There where a few reasons why Jade did not want her "help" One it was a risk to being found out by John and two she was worried how her being around would effect her neighbors and the friendships she had made with them. So the bestmen shook her head. " No I wish to do this alone." Jade said as she ate more of her meal. If she had to she would use her powers to make Julia leave. She had no issue with it mainly she did not see Julia as a friend just yet. Yes the woman had given her a name but other then that Jade did not feel any connection with her even though Julia claimed to be her friend.

Julia, normally carefree and happy, seemed to be rather hurt by Jade's refusal of any help. She remained quiet for some time. "Okay," she finally began, "I guess I would just slow you down anyway. I'll be cleaning if you...I'll be cleaning." she mumbled before lumbering off. This was how Julia was all the time, before she met John, and she hated feeling this way, but she couldn't help it sometimes. Sometimes these feelings forced their way out despite her best efforts.
She made her way upstairs, and began to do some general cleaning. She tried her best to put effort into it, but she felt so drained, that even cleaning normally was a struggle. The only thing that kept her cleaning at all was the thought of John appreciating her work. That, at least, provided enough motivation to keep going.

Normal people most likely would have felt bad for hurting Julia's feelings, Though Jade was not normal she did not seem all that bothered that Julia was now sad. The young bestmen then finished up her meal. She then got up walking to the sink and cleaned off her plate before setting it in the dish washer. Jade then looked at the clock and she then decided it was time, time to start looking for this Taylor. Julia would be busy cleaning the house now so hopefully she would not follow. So without a word Jade left the house leaving Julia there all alone.
