Project five had heard many people talk about the beach, and it has been something she read about but never been there herself. So today the beatmen made her way there to see it for the first time with her own eyes. It was about a hour walk on foot not that Project five minded. As she got closer she was greeted with the salty sea air smell. It was not the best of smells bot nor was it unpleasant. She could hear sounds she never heard in the city, the sound of the waves crashing onto the shore the seagulls calling out. And of course people laughing and having a good time. Though Project five did not really pay attention to them however. As she walked in the sand for the first time she watched how her feet would sink to it but a she got closer to the water the wetter and firmer it got. She then stood where the water met the land and let the water come up to her feet. "Hmm cold..." Project five stated as she then took a few steps back. So this was the sea.. So for it was just as she had read about. She then bent down and started to copycat what some of the human children where doing and started to try to make a sand castle.

"The beach! THE BEACH! Come on, Sean! Let's have some fun!" A woman in her late twenties shouted, running onto the sand, dragging along a freckle-faced redhead of perhaps 30 or so years. "Come now, Jules, we're not 'ere ta do sight seein' now, are we? Tha good doctor wanted us ta find people fer him ta help, remember?" He tried to remind the woman of their work here, though he knew that it was useless. Once the woman, one Julia Hartman, caught sight of the rolling waves, she was a lost cause. Sighing, Sean released himself from her grip, and went about his business, perhaps that group of surfers might be in need of a psychiatrist such as his.
Julia, meanwhile, was already running to the water, massive grin on her face. So much to do! Where to begin? Well, she didn't know how to surf, so probably not that. She wasn't very good at volleyball, so maybe wait until later for that. It was then that she noticed people were making sandcastles. She could do that! She could do the heck outta that!
With that thought, she plopped down next to Project Five, and began a sandcastle of her own. "Hi! I'm Julia! I'm making a castle too! When we are done, we should wage war, and my men will meet yours on the field of battle, and I shall prove the victor!" she said. It was uncertain as to whether this strange behavior was an act, something to 'relate' somehow to the younger person, or if this was how she really was. Either way, her smile seemed genuine.

Project 5 played with the sand trying to make it take the shape the others have been making, but the sand would not obey. Though that did not stop her she just kept playing with the sand keeping a eye on what the human children where doing to make their castles. But alas they had tools and she did not.. The best she could make was just a pile. "hmm... Tools are needed..." Project 5 said to herself. She was then about to give up when suddenly a human woman came up and sat near her and started to build her own sand castle and started to go on about a war and how her men would win. Project 5 did not understand this, where there people in the sand? She then took a closer look and reached out with her mind to see if she could hear them. But she got nothing, so there was no people in the sand then. Project 5 then looked back at Julia with a blank expression. " There are no people in the sand.. How could there be a war waged?" Project 5 asked, She clearly lacked imagination.

"No sand people? Might as well say there is no sand castle. There is, and there are, but we just gotta make them! See?" Julia was making something in the sand as she spoke, and presented it proudly to the girl. It was a strange creation that one could possibly call a sand person. It looked like a stick man, a bunch of rods of slightly wet sand arranged as a body with a sand ball for a head. "You remind me of Sean. All here and now, all serious like! You have to loosen up! Come on, let's make castles!" she cheered, dropping her sand man in order to redouble her efforts on her castle. Like Project Five, she had no bucket or shovel, or any of the other tools necessary for this type of work. In fact, all she had was a twig she found on the beach. That didn't stop her, however. She was determined. This was going to be the most impressive sand mound that this beach had ever seen! It was going to have windows, sort of! And balconies, after a fashion! And those cool towers that castles had, only more mound like in nature! She was so excited! This girl didn't seem to be all that creative. Maybe seeing such an awesome castle would make her burst with artsy juices that she could use on her own work!

Project 5 stared at Julia not understanding her one bit and watched as she made a "sand person" Though it looked nothing like any human she as seen. After that Julia went back to trying to make a sand castle. Project 5 then looked at her own pile of sand and stared at it. Well she did not have any tools... But she did have her powers.. Perhaps she could use her powers to make the sand obey.. She first looked around her again and saw some kids that had finished their castle. She then studied it talking it to memory she then looked at hers and her eyes started to glow. Slowly with her powers she made the sand form and stay the way she wanted. To her this was child's play compared to the drills she once had to do endure at the lab where she was made and born, the very same lab she had destroyed. Once she was done Project 5 stared at it a bit, "Done..." Is all she stated as she just kept looking at her sand castle.

At first, Julia did not register Project Five's comment. She was far too concentrated on her work. Her magnum opus. Her Venus de Milo, if instead of a lady, Alexandros had felt more like making a cool looking sand mound instead. And it was pretty cool looking, for a sand mound.
When she finally looked over to her new friend's work, she nearly fell over onto her own castle in surprise. "What!? How did-when did-wh-wh-wh-WOW! You're pretty good!" she exclaimed, not jealous of the girl's far superior work. Rather, she was impressed beyond belief. "You gotta teach me how to do that! I want to make a castle that quickly! I would be all like 'Hey doctor, can I get a pat on the head?' and he'd be all like 'I don't think so, Julia. Perhaps if you make me a sandcastle.' and BAM! I'd make one right there, and he'd be stuck, because he made the bargain." she rambled, obviously in her own little fantasy world of head pats and impressed doctors.

Project 5 stared at Julia as she worked on her sandcastle, Project 5 could feel all the emotions coming off her as she worked. Not that Project 5 could understand those emotions.. Only one she could really relate to was determination and the desire to please someone.. Back when she was still in the lab and younger she felt those things when doing those tests over and over again. But they where never pleased so she stopped looking for praise and affection. Then Julia noticed her sand castle and Project 5 could just feel the shock and awe come from the woman. Though Project 5 just stared at her as it was not that big of a deal. When Julia asked how she did that Project 5 then looked back at her sandcastle. " I used my powers... I watched those human children as they made theirs and copied it." Project five stated with no real emotion in her voice just stating the facts.

"Powers!? POW-AH!" This time, Julia actually did fall over onto her castle in her shock. "Aww man, Mr. O'Connor isn't going to be impressed by this. He probably won't even look over the fact that I wasn't supposed to be doing this for this quality. Dang it...So! What powers? You have powers? How cool! I wish I had powers!" her mood swing was instant. One second she was lamenting, the next second she was that energetic puppy again, ready to play.
Meanwhile, Sean had done his job, and had gotten a number of people interested in taking some therapy sessions from the good doctor. With that done, he made his way to where he saw Julia playing with a...strange looking girl. "Well, I'll be. Looks like she decided ta do 'er job after all." he said to himself with a little smile. Best not interrupt them yet. Julia's...unique personality was unlikely to work if her colleague showed up and started acting normal while she giggled and played.

Again Project 5 just stared at Julia as this time she reacted to the fact that she had powers. Destroying her sand castle as she bugged out a bit, Julia sure is a lively one though.. For the short time Project 5 has been in this city she has not met a human up to this point that their emotions where everywhere. When Julia then asked about her powers Project 5 saw no problem showing them a bit. Her eyes then started to glow a bit and some of the sand started to lift up around them. " I can move things with my mind.." Project 5 said as she then lowered the sand. There was many more things she could do but felt it was best to keep that to herself. Project 5 then stood up and brushed the wet sand off her. She then looked over at the Snack shack, she was getting thirsty and hungry.. She could smell food coming form that place. " I'm hungry.." She stated as she then started to make her way over to the snack shack. As she did she pulled out what little money she had. One of the many things she quickly learned is that the green paper allowed her to get stuff. Once she got there she then paid for a snack and a drink. She then found somewhere to sit so she could eat her treat, not seemingly caring if Julia followed or not.

Julia sat there in stunned silence as the girl showed off her powers. Cool. Very cool. Incredibly cool. Those were the only thoughts passing through the woman's mind. She remained motionless until Project Five left for food. "Hot dogs!" she shouted, and kept shouting as she followed, and kept shouting until she was given a hot dog, and then she just said it contently to herself as she sat down next to her new friend. "hot dog." was all she said, showing her food before she began to eat.
Sean, meanwhile, also found himself at a loss for words. Probably not a good idea to have someone that could do something like that as part of the family. Unstable was one thing, but unstable with those kind of powers? He shuddered just thinking about it. However, it was not his decision at the end of the day. The doctor decided such things. So, making the sign of the cross almost absent mindedly, Sean made his way to the snack shack, ordering himself just some soda and finding himself a seat far enough away from the two to observe but hopefully remain inconspicuous.

Project 5 started to eat her snack and drink her drink, watching Julia all the while. Tilting her head a bit when all she did was scream hot dog still someone gave her one.. Was that another way of getting things you needed? but by judging the annoyed feelings coming off everyone no that was not a good way to get what you wanted. When Julia sat down next to Project five and showed her the hot dog she merely nodded as she nibbled on her own food. Though as she ate there was a mind that caught her attention. Someone was watching them... Part of her training was to watch out for things like this.. It did not take long for Project 5's eyes to land on Sean. He did not seem like a threat but still made Project 5 a bit uneasy to be watched. So with her mind she called out to the man to get info and to see his reaction. "Why are you watching us?" Was the simple yet straight to the point question as she kept on eating like nothing was wrong.

Sean nearly fell out of his seat when the message from the girl found it's way into his brain. "Ah lord, this's what I get fer followin' Jules, innit? he thought, wondering as to what his next move should be. He could leave, but that would just seem more suspicious. Could this girl read minds, or just send thoughts into them? If he stayed, would the girl use some of those other powers on him? What a situation he got himself into.
Julia, meanwhile, was oblivious to Sean's plight, as she was too busy enjoying her hot dog to even notice Sean in the first place. Julia's world was simple, and full of one thing at a time. Right now, it was hot dogs. And John, but he was always there. So two things at a time, really.

Projet 5 watched Sean closely hearing his thoughts, so he knew this woman then... She could feel his uneasy emotions as he seemed to be trying to think of what to do. " Are you friends with this woman? If you mean no harm then you have nothing to fear..." Project 5 said once again with her mind getting right to the point, she then looked over at Julia who seemed very happy with eating her hot dog. "Julia is that your friend?" Project 5 asked as she this time pointed to Sean. Even though she had asked Project 5 was very sure they knew each other. Why the man was lurking in the back ground she did not know.. She could just read his mind but at the moment really did not have a reason to. She felt no danger as of yet.

Sean grimaced inwardly. So, that was one question answered. What was he going to do? How was he going to get out of this one?
"Hrmm? Oh! SeanHEYSEANOVERHEREIT'SJULIAHI!" Julia shouted after hastily swallowing the last of her meal and calling over to her funny voiced friend. Haltingly, Sean made his way over to their table "Well now, g'day lasses. How're ye doin' taday?" he asked, his nerves putting a slight dent into his usual charm. He was caught on the wrong foot in all this, and he needed to claw his way back into a more stable position, or this would end less than spectacular for him.
Julia didn't notice, or perhaps did not care for Sean's problems. She was just happy he came to join them. "You should get a hot dog Sean! They're good!" she chirped, face full of mirth

Project 5 then did her best not to directly look at Sean after talking to him twice now with her powers. She had meant what she said if he meant no harm he had nothing fear. Mean while like a child it seemed like Julia had a one tracked mind and could only think about hot dogs. As Project 5 ate her snack she could just feel Sean's uneasiness. To be expected though, not many humans where used to having a strangers voice in their head. So to try to show she really meant no harm Project 5 got up going back to the snack shack and bought a hotdog. Once she had it she brought the plain hotdog to Sean, " Here.." Project 5 said as she offered it to the man. If this did not help calm him Project 5 did not know what would and then she would most likely leave. She was not hear to scare anyone after all.
