Name: Tobasco Fieri
Alias: Hellfire
Nicknames: Toby, "The Spice"
Gender: Male
Age: ~28
Race: Human (Currently controlled by a Blazewraith)
Home: Aster City
Alliance: Lyle Truman - Magical Contract
Alignment: Chaotic Neutral
Friends: Torment (one sided)
Allies: Lyle Truman, Torment
Enemies: Blood Azrael
Likes: Fighting, spices, hot sauce, cooking, the Food Network
Dislikes: Milk
Job: Hired Villain (by Lyle Truman)
Relationships: A subordinate to Lyle Truman, Tobasco is forced to follow his orders as he's been bound to him via magical contract. He seems to be very amicable to his partner in crime, Torment, though the feeling is not reciprocated.
Personality:
Usually seen with a large, toothy grin, it doesn't take much to excite Tobasco. He's always eager to fight. Not to say he's hostile; in fact, Tobasco seems to treat combat like a game, growing more excited the tougher an enemy appears to be. This upbeat attitude allows him to approach things with unwavering enthusiasm, happily taking on new tasks or challenges with reckless abandon. He never fails to say what's on his mind, so he can be blunt and insensitive, but at least he's honest. His favorite things in life are spicy foods and fighting, though it's hard to tell which one he enjoys more.
Powers:
Hand to Hand Combat
While his combat style leans toward street fighting, Tobasco seems to enjoy erratic, flashy moves. He tends to punctuate his attacks with strong, brutal strikes, though he manages to maintain a surprising balance between agility and power. He also seems to be very adaptable and can easily change up his fighting style to deal with different opponents and situations.
Infernal Flames:
Tobasco's fire powers. While he usually uses it in conjunction with his physical attacks, he's also capable of shooting projectile fireballs or short range flame waves. Water can hamper him, though Tobasco can burn hot enough to temporarily overcome it via evaporation. He can't really do this repeatedly without rapidly wearing himself out, however.
Weaknesses:
Water agitates him. Not only can it halt his fiery attacks, but he also seems to be... afraid of it. He doesn't actually get hurt from normal water, but he tries to avoid it when he can.
History:
Tobasco has no memory of his life before working under Lyle Truman. All he knew was that he'd been fatally wounded in an alleyway, losing his memories in the process. Thankfully, he was discovered by Lyle, who saved his life. If it weren't for him, then Tobasco most likely would've died from his injuries.
At least, that's what Tobasco believes.
All of it is a lie - Tobasco's true identity is Aedan Devitt, and a hit was ordered on him by Lyle himself. What Lyle hadn't expected was for Aedan to survive, display power the likes of which Lyle had never seen before, then merely pass out. It turned out Aedan's fire power was actually a fire spirit - one that liked Aedan enough to take over his body and protect him from the fatal blow. This is the true reason why Tobasco can't remember any further back than the alleyway incident - he's a being not of this realm, and thus has no true memories of his own.
Still, he believed Lyle's story. In order to thank him, Tobasco agreed to a magical contract that bound him to work for the man to pay back his life debt. It didn't take long for him to regret the decision. Some of his jobs were just so boring, but the contract was magically binding. Tobasco quickly became unruly, yearning for the freedom to do what he wanted, whenever he wanted. Lyle noticed his restlessness however and quickly took advantage of it in a way he figured would suit the man better.
After much trial and error, Lyle found the perfect job for Tobasco: one of his personal villains for hire. Though he still wishes for freedom, Tobasco's found some excitement in more or less becoming a troublemaker. He means no harm, though - much like the host of his body, he just really likes to fight...
Anything else:
- His true form is known by the names Flameborn or Blazewraith.
- Tobasco named himself after learning the joys of spicy food, though he spelled Tobasco wrong.
- He picked out his last name because it sounded close to fire, but mostly because he's a huge Guy Fieri fan.
- He's found a hobby in cooking and baking, though most of what he makes are spicy hot abominations.
- He's usually paired with Torment. He works well with him because Tobasco's nature as an otherworldly elemental makes him naturally immune to Torment's fear-causing aura.
- He goes by "Hellfire" when out causing trouble with Torment, only because "Hellfire & Torment sounds way better than Tobasco & Torment!"
- Tobasco is basically possessing Aedan's body to protect him, though he doesn't remember this. The entire time Tobasco's been in control, Aedan's consciousness has been recovering from the shock of what would have been death. While it's fully recovered by now, Aedan is currently unable to take control of his own body again. Aedan will eventually have moments where he briefly resurfaces however, mostly triggered when Tobasco sees things that stir Aedan's memory. Tobasco will experience these moments as brief blackouts, though he'll eventually start remembering the truth of his existence once Aedan resurfaces enough times.
