He has a special fondness for his daughter Tatsuko; after recognizing her insecurities about her brother's powers, he did best to make sure she didn't feel any lesser than him.
Personality:
Though he made his living as a professional wrestler, Dalton is a kind man who would rather keep to himself. He can be hearty and boisterous on social occasions, but he generally enjoys a quiet evening over a social get together. He wasn't above stealing and committing crime to survive in his youth, but he still felt guilty about it. He was able to spin this old shame into his wrestling villain persona, and is happy he could use it to entertain others. Most are surprised to learn he's rather gentle and patient. He makes an excellent coach for this reason. Dalton can also be a bit of a dork, though it comes with the territory of being a wrestler.
Powers:
Athletic Strength - Dalton's strength isn't superhuman, but it was on the higher end of what humans are capable of. He's able to deliver a couple of strong punches and pick up other fully grown men with ease, but his strength has fallen a bit off with his age - especially since he relaxed his training after he retired. Teaching others how to wrestle has brought him back into a regular training routine, but he's still not as strong as he was 20 years ago.
Power Wrestling - As a pro wrestler, Dalton's size and build made him more suited for strength based wrestling. His repertoire usually consisted of slower but more powerful moves, relying on his raw power or the force of gravity from throwing people.
Weaknesses:
Dalton is a normal human so anything extraordinary could easily wound or kill him. That aside... in terms of his abilities, while strong, he's no longer as strong as he used to be. His age is catching up to him, even if he's started training again. Smaller or faster foes can also outpace him so long as they don't get caught.
History:
Dalton was always a nice kid, but he struggled in his teen years. To make ends meet, he restored to theft, eventually becoming hired muscle for a gang. After a scuffle in a confrontation with police, Dalton was detained and spent two years in juvenile detention. When he was released at age 18, he was quick to embrace community service and his record was expunged for being a minor when convicted.
Dalton soon realized his only major skill was his strength. At age 20, he worked many manual labor jobs, but eventually took up wrestling and adopted the ring name "Dragon Fang." Though he wasn't too happy about playing the villain, he learned to enjoy his job and make others look better for it. He did this for five years until a disgruntled detective with an old grudge dug up his past. Blaming Dalton for causing a gas leak during the fight that triggered an explosion, Dalton himself was unsure about the man's claims but felt he had to flee nonetheless.
He moved to Japan at age 25, eventually changing his wrestling name from "Dragon Fang" to "Dragon Fruit" during a feud with another wrestler, embracing a more comical side. It was here that he met Ryoko, a police officer who was working as a security guard at one of his shows. After 2 years of courting and dating, the two were wed and had two children before Dalton moved the family back to America.
Years later, Dalton briefly returned to Japan for a reunion show, bringing his 12 year old son with him. It was there that the disgruntled detective reappeared and attempted to kill him. In response, Dalton's son developed fire powers to protect his father. After the incident, Dalton thought it best to finally retire from wrestling for good and returned home to focus on his family.
Dalton's life was mostly quiet after that. It wasn't until recently that his family moved to Aster City so his wife could join their police force. There, Dalton himself was inspired by what the city stood for. It prompted him to open up a wrestling school called the Dragon Fang Dojo, hoping he could pass on his knowledge to other aspiring wrestlers - or anyone else willing to learn.
