A street sweeper was the last thing Quattuor expected to fight.
No one knew what was happening - it was like a bout of lightning shot through it, and the vehicle suddenly shuttered and screeched. The sound of metal scraped against metal, sparks flew, and the entire thing began to move about as if it was alive. And then, finally, when the mass of metal and steel stopped shifting around, it had taken a humanoid form of a giant metallic monstrosity. It was like some kind of bastardized Transformer, and it was angry.
Quat had the feeling it was the work of the virus he'd been investigating. He was in the area when it happened, looking for clues of the next infection... and unfortunately, it seemed he'd found his answer. So, he did as he had always done: cleared the area of civilians as best he could, then engaged the threat. Normally, he tried to make his battles quick, but today...
"Ghk...!"
The strained grunt came from Quattuor as he was thrown against a brick wall. He hit the ground with a small bounce.
"Ugh... Why won't it go down...?!" The young android grit his teeth, pushing himself back up. A dark shadow loomed over him as he tried to recover. "D-Damnit...!" He sputtered, rushing to his feet and diving out of the way. An amalgamation of metal and wires slammed down in its place, missing him completely. Quat had saved himself from being crushed to death, but now he laid prone on the pavement. He'd used several of his special techniques already, and the constant exertion started to exhaust him. Just how could a street sweeper be so durable...?! He grimaced as he reached for his sword that landed not too far from him...
And just as Quattuor grabbed his blade, the monstrosity's "hand" slammed down on him. He let out a pained cry as it closed its fist around him, picking him up. It didn't have the chance to crush him, however - on reflex, Quattuor unleashed another attack as flames burst from his body. The explosion blasted off the metallic fingers that trapped Quattuor, and the scrapyard behemoth slowly stumbled back in shock. Quat himself fell to the ground, landing on his feet and dropping to one knee again. He panted, feeling the excess heat of his body exit through the ear vents on his head. He might've saved himself that time, but he couldn't do this any longer... He had to bring this thing down, now!

One moment everything was peaceful then the next thing everyone was screaming and running. Yuki was one of them, she ran but during the fight the path she had been going for was suddenly blocked off. In a panic she looked around, and sadly the only way she could go was past the battle that had started. She was trapped!
"Yuki Over here!" lucky called out. He had found a place she could hide, Yuki then quickly ran over there knelling down and made herself as small as she could. She then would watch the fight from her hiding place trembling, up to this point she had been able to avoid getting stuck in situations like this.. But it seems her luck at run out. Yuki then took out her tablet she had made herself turning it on with her powers and quickly sent a SOS to Sunny and Silver telling them where she and Lucky where. She did not want them to fight the angry... Street sweeper robot thing.. But she would feel a lot better if they where here.

"Hehehe... Pathetic little rat." The green haired man laughed to himself, stowed safely away in his online haven. That sword wielding piece of trash might have escaped his last move, but he was on the ropes, and the man knew this. A wicked grin spread itself across his face as he cackled to himself with manic glee. "If I can't find the sh*tty old man..." He smugly shrugged to himself. "Then we'll have to rip that information out of you, won't we~?" He hummed. = = = = = = = The monstrosity was powerful but slow, taking a moment to recollect itself. As Quattuor panted, his eyes widened as he noticed a girl that had hidden herself in an alley. Damnit! W-What was she doing there?! He couldn't let anyone get hurt...! "H-Hey! Get out of here!" He called to Yuki as he struggled to his feet. "Don't... worry! I've got... its attention!" He tried to reassure her, before turning back to the metal beast. "I'll... protect you...! Just... hurry...!" = = = = = = = The digital man sputtered with a scoff. "Oh? What's that? You? Protecting others? HAHAHAHA!" He howled with laughter. "Oh, honey..." He frowned as if sympathetic for a moment, but then the grin returned. "You can't protect sh*t." = = = = = = = It was as if Quat jinxed himself. On cue, the mechanical beast swept a limb across the ground. He braced himself, but Quattuor was easily swatted aside. He tumbled over again, landing out of the creature's way. As he rolled aside to a stop, the robotic menace lumbered towards the alley where Yuki and Lucky hid. "No...!" Quatutor struggled to his feet once more as he realized it switched targets. "D-Damn... it...!"

Yuki kept looking for a opening to run but sadly she was having issues finding one. She was trapped! Lucky stayed close as he started to growl a little. The suddenly things started to take a turn. One of the robots noticed her and started yelling at her to flee and that he would protect her. But it seemed just to spite him the evil robot turned its sights on her. Yuki's eyes grew wide with panic. No no no no!
Lucky jumped in front of Yuki and opened his mouth and shot off a few rounds of laser shots at the angry robot. No that was not going to work! Yuki knew she had to do it.. She had no choice. " STOP!" Yuki cried out as loud as she could as she used her powers to more or less hack into the angry robot. Yuki stared at the robot as it came to a stop, she did not know how long that would last.. So Yuki stood up and took off as fast as she could past the robot heading toward Quat with Lucky running right next to her.
Soon Silver and Sunny arrived and boy Yuki was glad to see them. "Oi! That is one ugly robot.. Yuki come on over here!" Sunny called out. Silver said nothing however as he perched himself on a near by car. Yuki nodded as she started to make her way over to Sunny and Silver.

"...What." The digital man leaned forward in his seat, frowning. Green and black pixels emanated from his hand as he wiggled his fingers experimentally. His little monstrosity... it... wasn't responding? "What...?" The cluster of pixels thickened as his movement became more forceful. It still wouldn't budge. What the hell? What the hell?! Did it just... listen to this sniveling little girl?! How?! The man grit his teeth, slamming his fists down. "F@#$ing WHAT?!"= = = = = = = "H...Huh...?" Quat blinked as the menace halted at her command. Did... did it really just stop when she asked it to? Was he wrong in fighting this thing...? He shook his head as she ran by. No... It had actively tried to attack others earlier. It was still a threat that needed to be dealt with. After Yuki had escaped past it, the mechanical creature stalled for several moments before it finally moved again. Slowly, it began to turn around, lifting an arm. With a heave, it then flung its arm forward - releasing its "hand" and hurling it towards the girl. As the mass of metal and wires launched her way, a lavender aura burst forth from Quattuor's body. Suddenly, his exhaustion was gone, and his stance was firm and focused. He leapt upwards, slashing at the projectile and cutting it into several pieces as the metal scattered to the ground. Quattuor landed, then launched himself at the menace itself. He did the same, attacking the machine with several well timed slashes, destroying it where it stood. As the hunks of scrap and machine parts fell to the ground, Quattuor followed suit, landing amidst the debris. The ominous aura remained as he turned his head to look about. Though a visor concealed his eyes, it was clear he was looking back in Yuki's direction. He clasped the handle of his blade again, shifting into another fighting stance, but... "...Urk..."The aura suddenly faded. His grip loosened and his sword fell out of his hand, clattering to the ground. The rest of his body went limp and he fell forward, hitting the turf with a thud. His armor glowed a bright white before suddenly dissipating, revealing the unconscious android underneath it. Save for the animal-esque ears and odd ear pieces, he looked... mostly human.

Tears started to stream down Yuki's face due to fear, once she reached Sunny she wobbled a little but supported herself on the car Silver was sitting on. Yuki then looked back and watched as the angry robot turned her way again and threw its arm at her. Yuki flinched and closed her eyes but when nothing happened. She then watched as the boy who wanted to protect her moments ago power up with a strange glow and effortlessly destroyed it. But however he looked back toward her and started to get into a fighting stance. Yuki froze, Sunny, Lucky and Silver all got in defensive positions around Yuki ready to defend her. Just for the boy to power down and pass out and his armor suddenly dissipating "!! !!" Yuki stared.
Sunny slowly relaxed, " Well... That was anti-climatic... Is he ok though?" Sunny wondered.
" Who the heck cares! Lets get out of here!" Lucky barked.
Silver waited to see what Yuki wanted to do.
Yuki stared at the boy, hear heart was still pounding.
"Don't... worry! I've got... its attention! I'll... protect you...! Just... hurry...!"
Those words he spoke rang through her mind. She... She could not just leave him like this.
"I.... I can't just leave him like this.. He.. Tried to protect me."
" WHA!? But it looked like he was about to attack you just now!" Lucky argued.
But that was not going to change her mind. Gathering her courage Yuki walked over to the unconscious Quat.
She then knelt down next to his body and noticed his ears where not human. Just what was he? Yuki then reached out and touched his shoulder to shake it only to get a flash of memory of the fight that just happened. This caused Yuki to flinch in shock as she stood back up and backed away a few steps.
No... No way.. He was a android? That would be the only reason she would have seen a flash of memory.
Yuki then knelt down again and this time was better prepared. Yuki touched his shoulder again and this time watched the memory of the battle and saw what he had done in order to beat the evil robot.. And how much worry he had when he did that and why he turned as if to attack her. Yuki then cut off the connection between Quat and herself so not to see anymore memories then she needed to. She then reached into her bag and puled out a cube. using her powers to activate it she tossed the cube next to her and unfolded into a hover scooter. It was not much but it was all she had to carry him with.
" Silver, help me please." Yuki asked.
The hawk nodded as he flew over landing on Quat, him and Yuki then worked together to get Quat on the hover scooter. Yuki then would push the scooter all the way home. Once home she then placed Quat on the couch of her living room and sat in a chair near by. There was not much else she could do but wait for him to wake up.
Sunny, Lucky and Silver where all in the room too though where waiting to see if they would have to attack or not.

It didn't take long for Quattuor to start stirring, though he wasn't fully awake yet. As he lay unconscious, a grimace seemed to cross his face. His brow furrowed and twitched as he seemed to struggle with something... perhaps a nightmare.
"...Gh!" He jolted awake with a distressed sound. He seemed to breathe hard for a few moments, intently staring at the ceiling. When his breathing steadied and he finally calmed down, he turned his head to the side, blinking at the sight of Yuki and her companions.
"...Hnuh...?" Quattuor blinked a few more times, still dazed. He then suddenly sat up. "W-Wait, the monster...!" He clasped at his head stressfully, his memory still hazy from the grogginess. He looked around frantically as if he were looking for the creature itself, but he quickly realized he was inside a house. Another moment passed, and the distress subsided once he finally remembered what had happened. He'd managed to muster up the strength to defeat the thing, but... then he faced this girl, and...
He suddenly looked back at Yuki. "Are... you okay...?" He winced. She clearly looked fine, but if raising his weapon at her was his last memory... he wanted to be sure.

When Quat started to stir Yuki looked at him and her heart started to race. She really hoped she did not make some sort of mistake bringing him here... But she did not want to leave him like that back there ether. When Quat jolted up and and went into a small panic fearing the monster was here all Yuki could so was sit there in silence till the boy calmed sown a bit. He then looked at her asking if she was ok. As if worried he had hurt her.
"Y-yeah I'm good.. Are you ok though? You seemed to get hurt and then you passed out.. I.. I couldn't just leave you there and uhh... Brought you here..." Yuki said as she was starting to grow flustered. This was the very first time she had brought someone over to her house and he was a stranger no less, and a guy on top of that. She was never really good at talking to people. She found it hard to look at him as her face started to turn red, mostly from embarrassing herself.
Sunny started to giggle a little as Yuki grew flustered.
Lucky sighed and rolled his eyes.
And Silver just stayed silent as he watched.

"Huh?" He blinked again. "Oh... I must've overdone it again..." He grimaced, glancing downwards in thought. Quattuor liked to think he was normally good about managing his stamina, but there have been a few occasions where he'd pass out and wake up hours later... He was fortunate this time.
"Well... Thank you for your concern." Quat looked back up with a small smile, though it faded when he noticed the growing blush on her face. "Uh..." He turned his gaze aside, trying to spare them both from embarrassment. "Is, uh... s-something wrong?" He stammered, fidgeting slightly. Quat was never good with girls. Was there something on his face? Had he done something wrong? Did he say something embarrassing before he woke up? Ohhh, now he was getting flustered...

Yuki went even more red at Quattuor's question. "N-n-no.. N-n-nothing is wrong." Yuki managed to say as she stared at the floor. Maaaaan she was so bad at this! Speaking to people face to face has always been hard for Yuki, always worried she would say or do something weird. She was most likely making the poor guy uncomfortable..
Lucky then would growl in annoyance as he then stepped forward, his ears flat on his head as he glared at Quattuor. " I think its about time you leave.." he growled.
Sunny sighed, "Ooooi! Lucky don't be so rude! Yuki brought him here he is her guest." she said.
Lucky turned to look at his sister with a growl. "We don't know who this guy is! And for all we know that thing could have been targeting him! What if another thing like that shows up while he is here? Am I the only one who even thinks about risks??" Lucky demanded.
Sunny sighed and rolled her eyes, as much as she hated to admit it she knew Lucky was right. But Yuki still had the final say in the matter. Sunny then looked at Yuki waiting to see what she would say.
Yuki had fallen silent as Lucky did point out a few very important points.. She did not know anything about the Android.. But at the same time she did not feel right just kicking him out.. So Yuki stayed silent as she stared at the floor not really sure what to do.

Quattuor turned his attention to the small dog. He was a bit surprised that it spoke up, though the shock wore off when the cat chimed in. The canine, however, had made a good point; as far as Quat knew, he wasn't aware if he was being targeted, but if he was, then the last thing he'd want to do is endanger this kind stranger. He let out a small sigh of his own.
"I'm sorry again for the inconvenience," Quattuor grimaced. "He... makes a good point." He rubbed at the back of his neck as he thought about just how much he needed to say. "Erm... Well, first off... My name is Quattuor. And... uh... Long story short, I moved here to investigate some... strange activity affecting machinery." He frowned. "It's supposedly some kinda virus... So long as it can connect to the internet, there's a risk of machinery being infected by... whatever this virus is." The details were still dubious, but Quat figured they at least had the right to know.
"I still don't know the specifics about how it works, but, uh... the best way I can describe it is that it turns machines into monsters." He paused. "...Like what you all saw back there." He winced again. "I've tracked down several incidents like that, but... I can't see a pattern or figure out the source of it." He glanced aside in thought. "I mean... I do have a hunch about who might be causing it, but..." He shook his head. "Without any evidence, it's just a shot in the dark." He let out another small sigh, this time filled with a bit of frustration that he'd made no progress.
"...Ah. A-anyway, my point was... since I've been investigating this," He looked back to Lucky. "You... might be right. I don't know who or what's causing the viral activity, but with the amount of times I've interfered with it, there's a chance I could be targeted." He immediately got to his feet after making the point. "So, erm... I guess... I should get going. Thanks again for your help, uh..." Quat trailed off, trying to remember what the cat had called her. "...Yuki. Thanks again. Stay safe," He nodded before quickly taking his leave.

All them listened very intently as intently Quattuor went on to talk about a virus and how it turned machines into monsters like the one they just saw today.. Yuki hugged her knees closer to her chest as she did her best not to freak out.. When Quattuor left all color drained from Yuki's face as she then looked at her friends Tears started to form in her eyes as she trembled. "....... If that virus is targeting him... That means... It may start to target me to! I.. I messed with that monster!! I..I Made it stop! Whoever whatever is controlling it would have noticed! Oh god oh god OH MY GOD!!" Yuki said as she started to go into full blown panic mode. Tears running own her cheeks as she started to cry.
Both Sunny and Lucky jumped up on Yuki and started doing their best to comfort her. Though it would take Yuki a few hours to calm down and start making up plans to better protect herself and her friends .
