It was a weekend so the library had many types of people in it. Ranging from students looking for a quiet place to study to those who where just there to read books and relax for a few hours. Clara was at her desk looking at the list of books that had been checked out , returned or over due. For those over due she was writing up letters to remind them to return the books or pay a fine that would be billed to them. She hated this part of the job, but it had to be done other wise the library would run out of books. The door opened and Clara smiled when she saw it was Jade, she had come to see the beastmen as a little sister and enjoying teaching the girl how to better read and write. Though there was only so much she could do.. Perhaps she could try and convince Jade to enroll in school?
" Hello Jade, how are you?" Clare asked with a smile.
Jade smiled back, " I am well." She replied, Jade had also grown to see Clara like a older sister. She was one of the few that accepted her and even went out of her way to help her learn how to read and write.
Clara nodded, " Well if you need help understanding something please let me know."
Jade nodded as she then moved away to her usual spot, getting a reading book and a dictionary and started to get to work.
Clara then went back to doing her task as well.

After a week of being stuck at home due to her injury at school Amanda decided to visit the library to study and catch up on her...homework...oi homework has never been her favorite thing but she knows if she wants good grades she has to study and grind the pencil against the paper so with a nervous sigh as she walks down the side walk towards the library she sighs while looking at her home work as if which was mailed to her.
"nnggh...he just had to hurt me didn't he..." she complained silently as she gets to the library and opens the door to enter as she even has her cheeks slightly puffed with air and when she sees the librarian she only just gives a small shy wave but doesn't really approach because she doesn't want to bother her, nope! never bother someone who is working...that's what her foster mom always tells her.
Thankfully she already has a idea of what book she's looking for but she can't help but notice someone...or...something she's never seen before...she blinks a moment as she looks at this..beast...person...with curiosity. "huh..never seen someone like her before.." intrigued she feels the pull to approach but that quickly gets over powered by her shy nature so she recoils.
"n..no..your here to study...not bother someone who is..uh..clearly reading..bad Amanda..bad.. yeah now she's silently scolding herself as she heads down a aisle of books and notices a few books she needs but..they are out of her reach..of course..so looking around to make sure no one is watching she raises her hands at the books and thinks about bringing them down and sure enough the two books wiggle and shake on the shelf before lifting up and floating down to rest in her hands then smiling softly she goes to a table to start with her studdies.
"okay..may as well get history class's home work out of the way.." she muttered silently with a little bit of a protest in her tone since she rather be home practicing with her powers silently in her room.

Clara took notice of Amanda when she entered, though she knew the young teen was shy so she did not say anything to the girl. She just smiled at her as she passed and went back to work.
As Jade worked on her reading and writing she heard Amanda's thoughts about her. Without moving her head Jade looked over at the girl giving a small smile, she like it when someone did not fear her when they first saw her. She did not like it when others feared her because of how she looks. So she appreciated the young teen. But then Amanda did somthing that really caught her eye, she used telekinesis. Jade blinked, she had similar powers? Interesting... However Jade just refocused herself on her work.
Mean while outside, a car was speeding down the road a car then suddenly got in their way causing the speeding driver to swerve quickly but that caused them to lose control and the car crashed into a power pole.
The loud crash could be heard in the library and the power went out. Some of the people in the building screamed and started to panic after being in sudden darkness and rattled after the sound of a loud crash.
" Stay where you are everyone!" Clara said raising her voice to be heard, she then started to glow and the light coming from her lit up the library. Heh this was the only time her powers where useful. " Now, calmly exit the building and please try not to trample anyone. " Clara commanded. She wanted everyone to stay calm and not panic.
Jade winced when she heard the crash and blinked when the power went out. Only for Clara to use her powers to lite the place up. When she asked everyone to calmly leave the building Jade nodded. She then stood up and made her way to the door.
Mean while outside the guy who was behind the wheel of the crashed car was out cold and the car started to catch on fire.
Levi who just happened to be there saw everything that happened and knew he had to act. That fire would engulf the car before the fire fighters could get there! So without a second thought the PE teacher ran to the car and tried to open the door only to find it jammed shut. " Dammit... I gotta...." he grumbled. He would have to use his powers.. Levi then grabbed the door and ripped it off completely and placed the door on the ground and then freed the driver from his seat belt.
He then walked/ran from the car a safe distance before placing the unconscious driver on the sidewalk.
He had done all that just in time for most of the people in the library to most likely witness what he just did.
Jade blinked when she saw what was going on. Suddenly the power poll started to falter and fall. Jade eyes then started to glow as she then reached her hand out as she used telekinesis to keep the poll from falling on anyone. She then slowly moved it and laid it down in a safer spot.
Clare watched all this with a look of great concern, "Oh my... This is just awful... But it looks like everyone is alright?" She said in a form of a question as she looked over at the unconscious driver, unsure if he was ok or not. But at least that man had been able to get him from the flaming car.

The teen is pretty darn sure that no one saw her move her those books with her mind because hey, she double checked so she was more focused working on her homework in silence. At least until suddenly she heard a crash from outside, then felt the building shake and next thing she knew the entire building went dark! Feeling terrified at this sudden event Amanda screams in terror as she doesn't know what's going on and she even ducks under the table as the lights go out.
This causes her to freak out even more at least until she hears someone's voice grab everyone's attention
" Stay where you are everyone!"
Oh, she was already doing that..sort of..does being under the table count as staying where she is? Poor girl was too scared to move and she didn't know it yet but in her fear she accidentally pulled books off the shelves and made them go around her table like some sort of barrier but yet she noticed light illuminate the entire library..and this causes her to realize that she made barrier of books!
" Now, calmly exit the building and please try not to trample anyone. "
there's that voice again..and this time now that she's more back to her senses she heard what was said more clearer and then she lets go of the books thus causing them to fall on the floor all around her..oh boy...but that was not what she was concerned about, no her gaze is on the librarian who seems to be glowing rather brightly! Her eyes widened with awe because there is yet another person with powers like her! but when she sees everyone leaving she quickly scrambles to get out from under the table.
"ah! w..wait for me!!" she yelled as she seemed to run after the crowd but really she's chasing after the Librarian which doesn't take much to catch up to her and practically stays at her side but once outside Amanda's eyes widen in terror once again as she sees what happened and the car catching on fire with someone still inside scares her even more! "THERE'S SOMEONE IN THAT CAR!!
the teen yelled in fright and she extended her hand to try and use her powers to try and pull the door off it's hinges but before she could even command her powers with that thought her...PE teacher?! WHAT?! she thought which made her cancel her attempt to.try..and help that man but what surprised her even more was when she saw her own PE teacher yank that door off it's hinges and get that man to safety.
Now she can't help but think "does everyone..in this city have powers?" but this wasn't the end of it..she heard something cracking and breaking and that was enough to catch her attention and she quickly wished it didn't as she watches a power poll start to fall and this time out of sheer fear she raises her hands to try and stop it which this time her powers do activate and this time her eyes were closed because she was braising for a massive headache since she never tried to hold something that big and heavy.
However she slowly opens her eyes when she doesn't feel a headache..no she felt like something or someone else was holding it up..was it her PE teacher? nope..instead it's that beast..woman..thing.. "t..that girl has the same powers as me? just..who is she.." she thought to herself and seeing that beast...girl..person..has it handled she lets go of that thing.
"Oh my... This is just awful... But it looks like everyone is alright?"
That question grabs Amanda's attention and she can't help but grab the librarian's arm a little bit "y..yeah..b..but what about him.." she asked as she looks at the unconscious man and she quickly grabs her cell phone from her pocket and turns it on and speed dials nine, one, one and someone quickly answers.
"hello, what is the emergency?"
"u..um..there was a car crash near..the library..um...um..and a power poll fell..and uh..someone's hurt!! p..please send help!! the poor teen was trying all she could to keep calm but to no avail as the tone of her voice sounds like her nerves have been shot straight to hell
"okay, ma'am you need to breath and calm yourself, okay? is there a adult near you?" clearly whoever this is trying to keep the teen calm which seems to be working.
"y..yes sir..." yeah this time she seems to sound more calmer as she breaths slowly and she hands the phone to the librarian so she can speak to the guy on the other end.

Clara looked at Amanda and saw how frazzled the poor dear was and watched as she called 911 for help and was quick to hand her the cellphone. Clara nodded as she took it, " Hello, my name is Clara Almah and this is what happened." Clara then would go on to explain to the dispatcher what happened, the loud crash the black out in the library then describe when they came out a car had crashed into a power pole and the driver had been saved but was unconscious.
As she did that Jade who was standing near Amanda and Clare looked around to see if she was needed any further. Thankfully it seemed the worse had passed, though she could feel the fear coming from little Amanda, so she then knelt down so to be eye level with her. " Are you going to be alright?" Jade asked with concern.
Mean while Levi was checking the driver over, it seemed he had hit his head pretty hard. Had a rather large goose egg on his forehead and was bleeding. " This guy is gonna have one heck of a headache when he wakes up. " Levi said as he stood back up and looked around. His eyes widened a little when he saw Amanda standing near the library. Great just great.... Just what he needed a student of his seeing him use his powers... Aghhhh he really hoped she would not go blabbing to everyone what she saw him do just now. He would just like to leave before any cops got there but he knew he had to stay at least till help arrived for the injured driver.
And sure enough soon the sound the police and ambulance sirens could be heard. It did not take long for them to get there and the police where quick to take charge of the scene and the medics arrived shortly after and came over to the hurt driver and started to look him over. The cops where little dumbfounded by the fact the driver's side door had been ripped off as they started to tape off the area to try and keep people back.

Amanda would be shaking like a leaf as she tries to keep calm but after all this how can she? at this point everything sounds muffled to her due to the fact she's so scared that all her senses have been dulled, heck she wants to run but her legs aren't letting her so she just stands there holding onto Librarian by the arm while she speaks to the man on the other end of her phone.
However she seems to steal another glance at her PE teacher for a brief moment before she hears a muffled voice speak to her..it was enough for her senses to clear up as the beast..woman..thing...knelt in front of her.
" Are you going to be alright?"
For a moment all Amanda could do was just blink a few times but eventually she manages to get some words out "n..no...I...I want to...go home..." yeah, home is all she can think about as she trembles and finally wraps her arms around herself and squats down thus almost curling into a ball...aagghh...all she wanted to do was just do her studies and all this happens? This is going to make her want to stay home for a while.
Though her glance gets redirected when the police and the ambulance arrive and she slowly points a finger at the injured man and even her finger is trembling lightly. "I...is..that..m..man..going to be...okay?" she asked with a shaky tone. Seems like she's concerned for that man as well but she quickly brings her hand back to her chest again before lightly leaning against this stranger to try and find comfort..which is reasonable considering what had just happened in mere moments of being in the library.

Jade could feel the fear coming off the girl, she wanted to help her but... It seemed she scared people every time she had used her powers.. It now made her hesitant.. Flash backs of Millie ran through her mind. Jade still felt really bad how awful she made the women feel. But... She wanted to comfort girl before her.. When Amanda asked about the hurt man Jade then looked over and started to hear the thoughts of the medics. She then smiled and looked back at Amanda. " Yes, he will be fine. He is just unconscious right now." Jade replied as she then stared to project the feeling of calmness to Amanda in hopes it would help calm the scared girl.
Clara then finished speaking to the dispatcher hanging up, she smiled as she held the phone to Amanda. " You did well Amanda calling for help, I think you helped save that man" Clara said with a smile.

When hearing the beast..woman..thing say that the teen seems to look relieved to hear it but what she didn't expect to feel was this calm sensation just come over her as if it were a warm blanket hugging all around her. Where was it coming from? She would then looks at the beast..thing..again and realize she has more than just the ability she has herself and it simply amazes her as she feels herself calming down and even her body finally stops shaking like a leaf.
She'd then look at the injured man being carefully moved to what she personally calls the 'hospital truck' then glances at her PE teacher again as if she wants to ask him something but alas he's way over there and she's way over here with the librarian and this nice....thing...she's still doesn't know what to call it but she knows she's a person but what the heck is she? those thoughts kinda trample around in her mind but clearly she's being too shy to ask.
" You did well Amanda calling for help, I think you helped save that man"
Hearing the Librarian say that her attention snaps back to the shiny lady, yep that's her new nickname..but how did she know her name? oh right...she does rarely come to the library to study so she must of learned her name from her library card but hearing she may have helped save someone's life makes her smile lightly "t..thanks Shiny Lady...b..but I didn't do much..i..it was only a...reflex.. aww dang she's still stuttering nervously but at least she's no longer overwhelmed with fear!!
She'd then look at the beast girl..yeah..beast girl is a good nickname for her! that thought makes her smile but then it fades as she starts to think that maybe rude..aaagghh..she doesn't want her first impression to be a bad one..yep she's not gonna say that...yet.. "u..um...t..thanks for uh..helping me c..calm down..." she muttered lightly as she smiles lightly as she kinda wants to hug this..beast woman..but they just met..that would be awkward!! so..she doesn't..just stands there awkwardly instead since she apparently has no social skills..honestly she's feels lucky she was able to be friends with Taylor then again..but then she remembers how uncomfortable he looked when she was answering and asking questions and really hopes she didn't mess up their friendship

Clara blinked when Amanda called her Shining Lady, though she just smiled trying to hold back a laugh. "S-Shining Lady? Aww." Clara said in a pleased tone. She then looked around then turned to look back at the Library and sighed. "Hmm... Guess I better shut the place down... But first..." She said as she turned to the group of people that where in the building before the power went out. " Alright everyone, I will go back inside and lite the place up again so you may go back and get your things.. The Library is now going to have to close for the time being." Clare said to everyone as she then reentered the building as she started to glow brightly so everyone could get their things.
Mean while Jade was hearing all of Amanda's thoughts including the nickname the young teen decided to come up for her. "Beast girl?" Jade would think to herself. She then smiled and softly giggled. Well at least she was feeling better. Jade then stood back up and nodded when Clara spoke to everyone about getting their things. Jade walked back into the building and made her way back to where she had been sitting and gathered her paper and pencils. She then made her way back outside again.
Levi mean while decided to leave, he was no longer needed the man was getting the help he needed. The longer he stuck around the higher the chance of his face being posted everywhere as the hero who saved the day. If it was not already happening... He really hoped it wasn't.. Throwing his hood over his head he started to walk away.

The young teen would only smile when she heard the librarian giggle and she wanted to ask "y..yeah, Shiny Lady, hehe do you like it?" but instead she was sort of interrupted when the Librarian mentioned something about shutting down the library then turned around to the group only to say
" Alright everyone, I will go back inside and lite the place up again so you may go back and get your things.. The Library is now going to have to close for the time being."
Aaaww snaz..she had forgotten all about her homework!! Now she will have to check out those books she was using and she wasn't planning on doing that so she didn't exactly bring her library card with her..great now she feels stressed this time though when Beast Girl giggled like that she got Amanda's attention and she looked at her with a bit of a confused expression "u..um...did I say something..funny?" Yeah she couldn't help but ask that question but alas it turned out she was talking to herself.
Beast Girl was already walking back into the library with everyone else to grab her things and she knew she'd have to as well..but she couldn't help but think "well..on the 'bright' side...I get to see Shiny Lady, glow again..so cool.." Yeah despite the scary event today it did have some highlights, she met people who have powers, a strange but nice Beast Girl..wait..she never got Beast Girl's real name..neither did she get Shiny Lady's real name either. Eh she'll just get their names later so she just shrugs it off as she goes inside to get her things.
Once inside though she watches the Librarian glow and proceeds to grab her cell phone from her pocket and when she turns it on she puts it on camera mode and makes sure the flash is off before snapping a picture of the Shiny Lady glowing in the library but unlike most immature of her age she doesn't plan on posting it on the internet for all to see..heck she doesn't really post anything on the internet really, if anything she will just play a variety of games and do dungeon runs with her online friends.
Once taking that picture she turns off the phone again and places it in her pocket as she gathers the books she needs, papers, pencils and stuffs them into her backpack before putting it on her back and walking over to the Shiny Lady "u..um..I got everything I need..uh..is it okay if I..um..barrow these books?" she asked nervously as she pats her backpack "I'll..return them when the library opens again..I promise..." she asked with pleading eyes as if she were asking a mother permission

Jade stood by the door as she waited for Clare and Amanda, a sudden protective feeling had come over her and she wondered if the young girl would mind if she walked her home?
Clara stood there glowing as she waited for everyone to gather their things watching everyone though to make sure they did not take any of the books. Thankfully no one seemed to try to steal any. However Amanda came up to her and asked if she could barrow some books, and promised to bring them back. Clara looked at the young girl giving a smile. Awww how could she say no? Clara then knelt down to be eye level with Amanda, she then took out her cell phone and turned it on. " Aww sure sweetie. I just ask if I can have your number though so I can contact you when we open again." Clara said softly.

Amanda's eyes seem to brighten up with joy when she's given permission to take the books she was using for homework and she gives a nod "s..sure! I'll put my number in your phone~" she'd then kindly takes Clare's cell phone and gently taps on the screen several times before handing the cell phone back at her and giggles softly "there you go..um..thanks again~" Feeling gleeful she seems to head out of the library with a hop and a skip to her step.
However that joyful walk would be short lived when she sees the beast lady waiting for her at the door and she couldn't help but blink a little bit due to a bit of curiosity as she stares at the beast lady "waiting for someone Beast Lady?" Suddenly her eyes widen with embarrassment as she cups her hands over her mouth. "Oh god..did that just slip out of my mouth?!" she thought to herself as her eyes dart around for a moment...ugh dang it Amanda again you think something that embarrassing out loud? What if the beast lady gets mad and avoids you now eh? gaahh this sucks, this sucks, this sucks!! say something you idiot! But alas all she can do is let out a embarrassed croak that rolled in her throat like a tumbling rock..
Now she has found herself just standing there staring at her like a complete moron blocking the way out..way to go Amanda...as always your completely and utterly hopeless.

Clara smiled at the look of joy Amanda gave, she was only doing this because Amanda seemed like a trust worthy child. Once the child was finished putting her number in Clara put her cellphone away. She then followed the young girl as she exited the library just to see Jade was still standing there and Amanda seemed just as surpised and even called Jade Beast leady. Clara did her best to hold back a shocked noise and waited to see how Jade was gonna react.
When called Beast Lady again Jade just chuckled and looked at Amanda and knelt down to be eye level with the girl. " My name is Jade, and I was wondering if we can be friends?" Jade asked as her eyes started to glow and she lifted some small things around them and put them back down, and her eyes went back to normal. "we have similar powers, if you would like help I will be happy to help you." Jade offered.
Dawwww that was just so wholesome! Clara just gave a big smile as she watched Jade and Amanda.

Thankfully Clara is behind Amanda so she didn't notice her surprised expression as she blinked a moment when she heard the Beastlady giggle upon hearing the nickname she gave her..okay so she didn't insult the nice beast lady..that's a good thing!! This helps her relax again though she freezes a little bit when the beastlady spoke up.
" My name is Jade, and I was wondering if we can be friends?"
O..oh!! so that's her name!! okay! yeah she should of asked that first before blurting out the nickname..bah Amanda your hopeless and the thought of being friends with her made the shy girl more happy as she manages to nod and smile brightly "y..yeah..I'd like that a lot..Jade..." Though her eyes would widen when she sees her eyes glow like that but not only that she sees random things suddenly float in the air the same way things do for Amanda when she commands them to move with her mind!
"we have similar powers, if you would like help I will be happy to help you."
Help her learn to control her powers?! wait, wait, wait, wwwaaaaiiitt a minute, seriously?! no one has ever offered to help her with that before!! If anything they'd avoid her like the plague or be stared at like she's some kind of alien from outer space or something...but this is different..completely different and dang it all she's doing is standing there like a complete idiot! SAY YES DANG IT!!
Gulping a little bit she manages to snap out of her train of thought or what other people would call 'getting her voice back' she manages to speak FINALLY speak up "y..ye..yeah! I'd like love the help Jade!" YES finally she said something!! finally!! now she has two friends now! something she tell her Foster Mom that is if she can calm her Foster Mom from having a panic attack about the whole car crash thing that's most likely all over the news about now...great...last thing she needs is that kind of attention..thankfully she wasn't overrun by news reporters asking about the accident!
