Pizza, homework and other things. ( Open)

[Yuki]

Yuki needed to get out of the house, she once again had a rather heated fight with her Dad. They had never seen eye to eye after Yuki started going out. So what if she was a technopath?? It was not like she was going to use her powers to hack everything! So with laptop in hand and Lucky by her side she made her way down to Pizza Palace. It was not the ideal place to do homework. But it was better then the house and even though Lucky is a robot he was not allowed in the library. Once there Yuki set up her laptop and asked Lucky to watch it as she ordered some pizza. She walked up to the counter with a shy smile. " Umm Hello I would like some pepperoni pizza with a medium sized drink please. " Yuki said and handed over the money. She then waited and took her order when it was ready. She then sat down at her table as she then started to type. Though she was doing homework she also had a open tap on news. Just in case something happen around the city. Lucky laid down next to Yuki's chair watching everyone in the building.

[The Izzack]

Daniel, being on break and all, lounged about at the table next to the young woman.  Truth be told, lounging about was a bit of an understatement.  He went beyond lazy, and bordered on slothful.  His feet rested on the tabletop, just as his pizza slice rested on the plate, resting on his chest.  As far as he saw matters, he didn't have to go back to work for another twenty minutes, so he was going to cram in all of the relaxation he could into that short time.  


That was not to say, however, that he was ignoring the outside world.  Sure, he wasn't giving it the full attention he normally would, but he at least gave as much as a parent would, when their kid calls out 'check this out, mom!'


That's nice, world.  What a splash!


He did take note of the young woman entering, though. "Well, hey there, kid.  What's with the dog?" he muttered to himself as she ordered her food.  It wasn't really her he cared about, but rather her companion.  He did try to be inconspicuous, but if one was looking at him, they would plainly see that he was eyeballing the pair.

Soon enough, he made a move.  He hopped out of his seat, after placing the plate back on the table of course, and leaned over to the two. "'Sup nerd? How's the pizza? Pretty bad, right? I mean, what kind of bozo do they have makin' that stuff?" he asked, staring more at the girl's computer screen than at her.

[Yuki]

As Lucky waited for Yuki to return he was watching the area around them. As it was his job to pin point any sign of danger. When Daniel spoke his ears twitched and he looked over at him. Though he did not do anything but stare. when Yuki returned he laid down though kept looking Daniel. Yuki was to busy with her homework to really notice what was going on around her. She really just wanted to get this homework done so she could do other things.. She may be having disagreements with her Dad but she knew she still needed to do her school work. But her train of thought was derailed when suddenly a random guy came and sat down at her table. Yuki blinked a few times in shock as she looked at Daniel as he asked her some questions. "I.. What?" Yuki said clearly a bit startled. "Yeah the Pizza is good.." Yuki muttered as she looked back at her laptop. Lucky stood up and stared at Daniel, " Hey! Can't you see she's working? Bug off!" Lucky said with a slight growl in his voice.

"Come on now, you know that this garbage ain't that great, and I-wait...talking...dog...Wow, you got one of those stupid dogs that doesn't know that it can't speak English!" Daniel said, his focus immediately leaving the computer screen, and zooming in on the dog. "I always wondered how one breeds a dog so stupid that it can talk. Any pointers for a ametuer? Personally, I'd like a talking Tibetan mastiff, if only for the alliteration." he said, waving his hand awfully close to the miniature mutt. It seemed that he either wanted to pet the dog, or get it to try to bite him.

"Oh, but where are my manners? I am Daniel, you can call me 'The Big Fellow'. I am rather big and tall, after all. Who are you?" he asked, letting his hand fall onto the table as he looked back towards the girl once more. Despite his previous demeanor, he almost seemed formal. Perhaps it was because he was asking something, perhaps he was concentrating, so as to not forget her answer.

Or perhaps it was none of those things, and he was doing his best to remain unreadable.

[Yuki]

Yuki was doing her best to ignore Daniel, she was used to people like this whenever she went out and about.. It started to happen more often after her little show down with the slayers. They normally just went away though when she made it clear she was busy. Though it was hard to ignore Lucky as she could feel him getting angry and was really tempted to bite the boy. Lucky no! Don't do it, it will just make things worse.." Yuki said using her powers to talk to the little robot dog. Lucky's eyes followed Daniel's hand closely growling slightly. Though he nodded and just sat there. As much as he would love to bite Daniel's hand he did not want to cause trouble for Yuki. "Geeze...." was all Lucky said and shook his head. When Daniel said his name Yuki nodded never taking her eyes off the computer screen. "My name is Yuki. Nice to meet you." Yuki said trying to be polite even though she rather be left alone. But then again this is a public place so.. Being left alone was a very small chance.

[The Izzack]

For a short time, Daniel seemed rather amused at Yuki's insistence on ignoring him. Well, that, and the angry dog. It didn't last long though, because soon he was mostly just amused at the dog. "So, Yuki, where does a cute little gal like you get a talking terrier like this? I still think you bred it, but hey, you can get anything off the black market these days, eh?" It was a series of statements designed to get a reaction. Anger, flattery, humor, annoyance, anything would do. Nothing was more fun than getting someone to react when they made it clear that they did not wish to.

"And what about you, Miracle Max? How come you're hanging out with a book nerd when you could...I don't know, be out in the circus or something...maybe a freak show? Truth be told, I'm not too sure what they let in. Maybe just humans..." Daniel trailed off, though it did not seem all too likely that he had stopped paying attention, if only because he still seemed rather focused on the two, waiting for his answers.

[Yuki]

Yuki kept typing trying to ignore Daniel. Though as he went on Yuki started to see the possibility of him leaving was very low. He wanted to chat.. About what she did not know. And the way things where going on Lucky was most likely to end up biting the man. So with a sigh Yuki closed her laptop and looked directly at Daniel. "Lucky is a robot. That is why he is able to talk. I made him a few years ago." Yuki said in a normal tone. She had no reason to hide what Lucky was, as he was shown to be a robot anyway in that battle with the slayers. Lucky mean while just fell silent, glaring up at Daniel and his ears flat on his head.

[The Izzack]

"Ooh~! Not Miracle Max, then. Robotic Rover! That sounds like a good name. I think I'll call you that. Well, mechanical mutt, what's your owner like? She's pulling a cold shoulder on me, but I'm sure she's plenty sweet on you, eh? Don't worry, I won't tell her you told me!" Daniel reassured, positively beaming as he leaned closer to the mechanical dog. Maybe he wasn't picking up the cues the mutt was laying down, or maybe he just didn't care. Either way, he seemed none too worried about how the dog seemed to want to bite. As it was, he almost wanted the pup to do just that. It would be interesting to see the ratio of bark to bite that this lady put into her ferocious fido. That was still a little surprising, that one so young could create something like this, but whatever. He would die before his jaw dropped, and that was a promise!

[Yuki]

Lucky stared at Daniel, much like Yuki he was wishing he would leave.. He was being to nosy. And it almost seemed he was trying to tease them. And Yuki was trying to do her best to ignore him. As she knows most people will give up after a while. Though it soon seemed she would have a reason to ignore him. Suddenly on the news feed was a story about the slayers. They had been seen down town. Using her powers Yuki then shut down her labtop closing it and putting it away." Sorry I have to go." Yuki said to Daniel as she left the pizza shop leaving her food behind. Lucky reading her mind raced after her. " The slayers huh?"he said. Yuki nodded, " Yeah and just called Silver and Sunny." Yuki said as she then took out what looked like a cube. She then tossed it as it transformed into a hover scooter. Yuki and Lucky then both jumped onto it taking off into the sky.

[The Izzack]

"Have ta-Slayer-other names? Wait! I want to see how deep this rabbit hole goes!" Daniel called after the woman. Tsk, she was already heading out. "Mikey, you're covering for me! Don't know when I'll get back! Don't make that face, it's going to die down real quick, you'll see!" it was a lie, of course, business was about to pick up, but whatever, there was no way Daniel was going to miss this.

He ran into the back where his locker was, and grabbed his guitar case, and with that, he dashed out the nearest exit, and began his chase.

It was hard to see where Ms. Yuki had gone, at first, but after a quick ascension into the air, he was able to pick out the girl getting smaller and smaller as she got further away. "Dang it, why couldn't you wait for me? Now I feel all left out." his feigned sorrow lasted only a short while, however. He couldn't waste any time. He didn't want to lose this opportunity, after all.

[Yuki]

Yuki's mind was on the slayers now, she was slightly worried that pizza guy would follow but there was nothing she could do about that.. With Lucky by her side Yuki zoomed across the sky. She then soon came to the area they where last spotted, she then landed putting her hover scooter away. Yuki put a finger to her lips to signal for Lucky to stay silent. The robot dog nodded as Yuki started to sneak closer poking her head around a corner. And saw that the group of slayers where just grunts. And it seemed they where trying to take away more people with magic and magical beings. Yuki frowned, she never understood the slayers.. This city was filled with people and magic users and they all lived peacefully.. That was until the slayers came and they are now trying to take over the place. And take away anyone who has magic, well enough was enough! " Hey!!! Leave them alone!!" Yuki shouted as she came out of hiding and shot off a few rounds, with her gun onto the air and some in into the buildings. Mainly to startle the slayers in hopes the others could make a run for it. And it worked, the ones the slayers where going after where able to make a run for it. Then at the moment a hawk came swooping down claws out as he dive-bombed the slayers. Yuki kept firing off her gun as she then started to back away. There where to many of them to fight by herself So her best hope was to make it look like she was running away and try to take them out one at a time. So with that Yuki started to run as she fired her gun back at the slayers.

[The Izzack]

"Woah now, lady, no need to get trigger happy!" Daniel commented as he neared to find a fight already breaking out. It was not question whether or not he would join in, it was only a question of how he was going to do it. Mysterious figure on the rooftops? Jumping in front of the girl, and using his guitar case t-wait, did that eagle just dive into the fray?

It was at that instant that Daniel knew what to do.

with a loud shout, he willed himself to begin falling. It wasn't a slow process. Slow would be far too boring. Nevertheless, he managed to strike a pose riding his case like a surfboard before he landed, slightly jarred, but not too injured.

Of course, he came out swinging. As soon as his feet touched ground, he began throwing punches at damn near anything in his reach. It was mostly so that he could get time to pick up his weapon of choice, but it was partially because he was too dizzy from his fall to fight smart.

"YO! YUKSTER! WHAT'S UP!?" he called out, a look of pure joy on his face, though if it was from the fight, or the continued aggravation of Yuki was a mystery.

[Fox]

Fox had been trying out a few restaurants in the area, glad to find so many that were friendly to both magical beings and humans.  He kept up an illusion around himself all the same so that he appeared as a young human child to anyone looking at him, knowing that he shouldn't put anyone at risk by walking about without a disguise.  Yet it seemed that trouble was going to happen whether he started it or not, his keen ears picking up the sounds of conflict in the distance.  The little kitsune used his agility to quickly leap from wall to wall in an alley, getting on top of a nearby building before using the buildings as his own little rooftop highway to go toward the sounds of distress.  As he leaped from roof to roof he let his illusion drop, instead donning his festive looking white fox mask with the red designs.  He pulled up his hood and kept his tails under his robe as well by the time he arrived.

Fox peeked over the ledge of the roof to see what was happening... it was pure chaos apparently as some a gun went off.  A round bounced off the wall near him, causing him to duck behind cover before peeking out again.  A hawk swooped down and everyone seemed to scatter, the hostages running off in fear as the Dragon Slayers rallied to counter attack their assailant... then some crazy guy busted in on the scene and started wailing on the Slayers.

"Whoa.  Just what kind of crazy fight did I stumble onto?"  Fox asked himself, wondering if he should get involved or not.  Yet he saw one of the Slayers coming in with a rather nasty battle-axe, coming in on the man's blind spot.  Fox knew the Slayers were bad people so he acted then, tossing a shuriken down and hitting the man's hand so he dropped his weapon.  That planned worked, the Slayer clutching his wounded hand as the axe clattered loudly to the ground.

[Yuki]

Ok so her plan was working, so far anyway... Just how long can she stay out of reach? She had to trust that Lucky and Silver would slow them down. Silver kept dive bombing the slayers and if he was able to would steal their weapons and fly off with them. Being a robot the sharpness of the weapons did not hurt his talons. He then would drop them on a near by roof. Lucky mean while was shooting at them with lasers that came out of his back. Though soon the last member of Yuki's team arrived, Sunny a orange cat. "Oh boo you had to start with out me. Oh well better late then never!!! Meow!!!" She shouted as she ran up fearlessly at one of the knights. She then jumped up with claws raised and slashed the mans face. He cried out in pain as he covered his now badly bleeding face. Lucky growled and shook his head. " You done playing around Sunny???"" he said. The cat laughed as she went in for the attack again, " Oh lucky you need to learn to relax! And have some fun like that guy!" Sunny said right back looking at Daniel as he started to whack the knights


Lucky just shook his head, as he kept attacking the knights. Silver attacked when he saw a opening and kept stealing the knights weapons when he could though that was getting harder as they started to get smart. Yuki frowned when Daniel joined the fight, she knew he was most likely going to follow... Oh well he may be annoying but at least he was helping for now. Yuki then used her powers to change her gun into a stun gun. It would now knock the knights out for a while. Then it seemed a new face entered the battle, When he attacked one of the knights making him drop his weapon Yuki aimed and fired her gun, stunning the slayer as he then fell to the ground. She was going to try to end this battle without to much bloodshed. Though that was going to be easier said then done though as the slayers are trained killers.

[The Izzack]

Had Fox not interfered, Daniel surely would have been doomed, distracted as he was by the enemies in front of him. He certainly took note of the clattering of the weapon behind him. For a brief moment, he let his guitar case act as a shield, so he could look back to where it would seem a man fainted because...of a shuriken in his hand? "Hey! Ninja! Thanks for the help! Be careful where you throw those poison stars though, eh? Don't want any of that in my system!" he called out, not exactly looking around for his savior, seeing as how he had more pressing concerns at the moment.

One of the most pressing of concerns, obviously, was the continued torment of the duo that left his MAGNIFICENT pizza place to come fight here. "You know, computer Cerberus, firewall feline is right! Life's no fun if you don't cut loose now and then!" he punctuated each word in his ever so sagely advice with a rather savage swing with his blunt weapon. Little by little, he figured, he was wearing his opponents down. No need to go for the finishing blow, like Mr. Ninja. He wanted this to last as long as possible, if only because he would have to return to work afterwards, and that was no fun! No fun at all!
