Firelily can be a bit mischievous, especially to those who are being mean to another person but she doesn't go as far as to kill or critically hurt them..no...if anything she'd melt their belt and make their pants fall or melt the rubber souls of their shoes, stuff like that. She also likes to help people if she can like for example if a farmer needs his fields purified she would be more than happy to set the fields ablaze and once it's been purified she would simply make the flames vanish so the farmers can get to work. She also take a lot of joy in capturing evil criminals by trapping them in a ring of fire until a officer shows up to the arrest the criminal, then she makes the flames vanish. Being a fire spirit however also means she has a "hot" temper and the moment she gets angry is the moment she becomes very destructive but that only happens when ever someone attacks something or someone she cares about but other than that she mostly stays invisible because she doesn't need people constantly flipping out about human looking fire spirit with sharp looking teeth flying around the city
History:
About five hundred years ago Firelily was only known as the Fire Spirit who worked hard to put fire where it was needed to maintain the balance of the elements and she never got noticed until she flew by a small peaceful village..their shaman who had the ability to see spirits like her even if she was invisible or not and she only noticed this when the shaman came out and looked up into the sky and saw her and waved her down and they started talking. She was actually surprised at how respective this Shaman was and they became fast friends but all she asked is that they didn't worship her because she's not a god, not even close to it and explained she's only just a fire spirit working to maintain the elemental balance and even she gets tired after a while so once in every one thousand years she goes to a secluded place where lays on a pile of wood and turns into pure fire that never goes out while she rests for nearly three weeks.
She calls this her rest cycle and once it's over she wakes and goes back to work again, the Shaman understood her situation and so to show how much he appreciated his friendship he declared the tribe would have a ceremony in her honor an asked for her name. At first she said he didn't have to do this but he insisted and asked for her name again but this time she didn't resist but told him she didn't have a name so that was when the shaman gave her a name, Firelily and said it's because she's as hot as a raging flame but yet as pretty as a lily. Okay that made her blush and that was the first time ANYONE had made her blush and she even revealed herself to the entire tribe and they all agreed if she was friends with the shaman then she was a friend of theirs as well and this had made her so happy she kept that name and cherished it like it was a treasure to her and it was then they built a shrine for the firespirit for her to rest in when it was time for her rest cycle and it was in there would they feed her fire to replenish her energy which she knew that would most definitely make the rest cycle go faster and get her on her feet much faster which she appreciated since she never had a real home before and the bone fires once every hundred years would help delay the rest cycle for a little while longer and due to them helping her out so much she felt like she needed to do something for them so she found crystals and melted them together to create what looked like a orb and then she put a piece of her own power inside the orb that made it glow with a fiery light.
After making such a orb she returned and presented it to them and called it a Fire Orb that only she could make. She told them it was a gift of gratitude and she also told them this Fire Orb will grant them her power to control fire but only just enough to be able to defend themselves if they should get attacked. She knew she couldn't give them the full extent of her burning power or lest they burn from the inside out for they were mere mortals and could not handle the full extent of her fire powers. The tribe understood and built a stand in Firelily's shrine and placed the Fire Orb in the shrine on the stand for when Firelily needed to rest she could rest in her flame form under the orb. Everything was peaceful since that day she gave the tribe the Fire Orb and they came known as the Fire Tribe ever since but she didn't expect that the Fire Orb would of brought so much attention and there was one particular man who wanted that power all to himself...he sent men to go and kill the tribe and take the Fire Orb. This enraged Firelily and she burned those men to cinders but of course she didn't fight alone, her entire tribe worked together to fight off the invaders with the gift that was granted them and those that were still alive fled and took the wounded with them. This concerned Firelily greatly and she wanted to stay and fight until whoever sent those men gave up but the Fire Tribe insisted they she focus on maintaining the elemental balance and so she did but the attacks didn't stop..whoever kept attacking didn't know when to give up but alas..this was the year of her rest cycle and they had already done the ceremony so she had no choice but to enter the shrine and turn into pure flame under the Fire Orb to start her rest cycle and several times a day the Fire Village kept being attacked but managed to chase the attackers off again and again but that wasn't to last. It was nearing the end of her Rest Cycle a lot sooner thanks to the Fire Tribe feeding her fire everyday however the Fire Tribe was tired and weary and this war for the Fire Orb had dwindled their supplies greatly and they were exhausted...and the man who wanted that power so desperately at this point he sent his entire army, especially with the fact whatever that was that was protecting them didn't seem to be there for a long while though..however his scouts had no idea why they were feeding fire in the shrine every darn day..perhaps giving more power to the orb to strengthen themselves?
The greedy man didn't want to take any chances so sending that massive army was for sure going to over whelm them and Fire Lily sensed the danger but her Rest Cycle wasn't finished yet so she couldn't leave the Fire Shrine thus the tribe was over powered and slaughtered and the Fire Orb taken from it's place in the shrine and thanks to her special bond with all those people she could sense their pain and agony as they fought and died. This caused great immense rage to build up inside of her thus causing fire form to change to a darker red color as if she was about irrupt and once the rest cycle was done she indeed irrupted from what was left of the shrine, destroying it completely and the men who stayed to turn what was left of the village into a fort flabbergasted to see woman explode out of the shrine that had red and gold flames exploding out of her body and even her eyes and mouth she demanded the return of her Fire orb but instead they tried to attack her but she was so hot with rage they burned the moment they got close and she was unable to sense where the orb was due to the fact the man had is mages cast a spell that hid the Fire Orb's energy from her so for years she searched in a rage, looking for any hint of the Fire Orb but there was none until one day she heard of the Fire Kingdom.
That name was obvious..they must of had that Orb and used it for evil so that's where she went, however little did she know that the name itself was to lure her there because the man wanted more and she was the source and he had his mages at the ready so when she arrived in a blazing glory the mages casted a special spell made to bind spirits such as her and she was not expecting to this..she found herself caught in black and gold chains that had glowing etchings that cancelled her powers thus causing her to fall to the ground with a loud THUD and yet she screamed while struggling "GIVE IT BACK!! GIVE BACK MY FRIEND'S GIFT!!" that was all she seemed to care about as she even cried and cursed herself for not being able to protect them...that Fire Orb was all that she had left of their memory and the fact it was being used for evil tore her to pieces inside but what made it worse was when the man stood up from his throne and said "it isn't here..." that made her scream all the more and struggle, demanding where it was but there was no answer. They dragged her off to the dungeons so the mages could use magic to siphon her power and give it to him in a stream but he could not have expected to be able to contain the power himself but the mages found away..they casted spell that helped harness the stolen power from the Fire Spirit thus weakening her greatly..she thought the man won..however years past and there was a commotion outside and the guards were all in a panic..but why?
The question would be answered soon when a man with black armor with strange glowing markings on his body sliced down one of the walls and he stabbed and sliced more of the guards and when he saw her he went into her cell and cut her chains...she had no idea who that duel wielding man was or why he saved her or how he was able to do all that on his own but she didn't care..now that her bonds were broken the etchings became useless and she used what little power she had left to find where that king was..he was easy to find and that strange man actually teamed up with her..as if he knew she was weak and couldn't do this on her own so fighting together they found the king wearing his armor and blade drawn. He only laughed as he thought he was invisible but that laugh only annoyed the man so the strange human man attacked first but didn't go for the kill right away as he did his best to dodge the fire attacks he even ordered her to wait for a opening and who was this guy to give her such orders? either way she listened and once Phil managed to pin the corrupted king despite being burned Firelily took this chance to grab the king and she whispered "burn" in his ear. Just after saying that she took back her powers from the king and made him burn from the inside out as all that power came back into her body where it rightfully belonged.
This even surprised the strange human man for he had no idea she was THEE Fire Spirit! but he didn't seem to say much as he continued to destroy the castle and she helped him do so as she burned everything in her rage but when it was all said and done and the kingdom was nothing but a pile of ash and rubble the two went their separate ways and didn't even bother to introduce themselves to each other. They Both seemed to have something on their minds on top of that he seemed to be in a lot of pain though he was trying to hide it..was he wounded? yeah he was leaking blood but it looked like it was worse than that..but how was he able to still even walk away in that condition? It mattered not, her trust in humans has faltered at this point and all she cared about was finding the Fire Orb so she flew away and kept searching for countless years until she come upon Aster City but once again her Rest Cycle was upon her thanks to all that trouble she went through so she found a abandoned building in the city and found a fire place and turned into pure fire inside of it where she remains unless someone who has the ability to see spirits comes in and finds her fire and starts feeding her A LOT of fire.
