Sean had closed his eyes in a vain attempt to stop his tears. When Jade hugged him, he seemed to come back to reality. Slowly, he wrapped his arms gently around her. "When I first met you, I'd bet that you wouldn't even have noticed these things." he gave a small, bittersweet chuckle at that. "How much you've grown in so little time, Jade. You should feel proud of that. You've learned to care more about people than most people I've known." he squeezed slightly, as if to reassure the girl.
"We're imperfect beings, no matter our origins, Jade. Sometimes, we make mistakes. Sometimes, it's little things, and sometimes...sometimes it's a big mistake. One that you live with for a long time. It doesn't matter, though. Remember this, Jade, for me. No matter how many times you fall, what matters is that you get back up. There's no mistake that's so big that you can't make up for it. Life is a journey, and sometimes we stumble, but the most important thing we can do is keep going." He definitely felt his hypocrisy as he spoke, telling Jade to not let her mistakes define her when that's what he had done for his entire life.
"Maybe you hurt people. Maybe you make a mistake that you think you can't come back from, but I forgive you. I'm sure this Millie girl does, too. If you learn from these mistakes, then you can learn to do better next time." It was odd. He had mentored people before, and he had people like Jade come into his life before, but this was the first time it hurt so much to think of them leaving him. Maybe that was just another way in which this kid was special. He gave her another squeeze before letting go of the hug. "I'm sure you'll do fine, Jade. Trust me, if there's anything I'm good at, it's reading people." he offered a small smile to the girl.

Jade listened to Sean's words as he said how much she has grown and how she cares for others more then most humans he knew. And that it was ok to make mistakes as long as you learned from them and got better. It still hurt though to be the one to cause pain in someone.. She did not want to hurt anyone.. Be it emotionally or physically.. But when Sean said he forgave her it was like a bit of a weight had been lifted from her. She then gently squeezed him back before releasing her hug and stepping back. She then looked at Sean again making eye contact with him. She also offered a small smile in return. " Sean.. This was never meant to be a goodbye.. I just thought.. That it would be best to leave without saying anything so John would not think you where the one that had me leave. I was going to contact you again after things had calmed down. I would never just leave Sean.." Jade said showing she had indeed picked up on his thoughts and emotions. She then started to wipe away her own tears. She had abandoned someone once who was important to her.. No she was the cause of his death.. But she refused to do something like that ever again. Sean had given her a name and then a place to stay and helped her better understand the world around her. There was no way she was just going to abandoned him.. No matter what anyone said.
Mean while Taylor was slowly moving away from Sean and Jade as it was just awkward to be standing right behind Sean as he and Jade where having this touching moment. He made his way over to Amara and stood next to her. Soon Sarah approached them but did not say anything as she then tapped Amara and Taylor's shoulders to make them aware she was there. Taylor jumped a bit but quickly calmed down when he saw it was just Sarah. Amara looked at her and nodded before looking back at Sean and Jade.

"Even still, a goodbye it is, at least for now." Sean began, feeling a sense of acceptance over the situation. Sad as it made him, he supposed that this sort of thing was an inevitability. "After all, who knows how long it could be, before we meet again. Hell, next time we see each other, I imagine you'll have learned so many new things. You'll have matured enough to view our time together as a quaint, childish time of your life. I won't forget you, Jade. I hope you won't forget me, at least, until we can meet again." he paused for a moment to fish around in his pocket, and pull out a small, silver colored coin. He handed it to Jade, and it was immediately apparent that it was a foreign coin, with a hare on one face, and a harp on the other. "Something to remember me by. Sorry I don't have any more personal mementos on me." he gave a small shrug, then placed a hand on Jade's shoulder. "Until we meet again, Jade." he gave a small squeeze and let go.

Jade looked at Sean as she took the coin, she wanted him to come with her.. But his mind was still shackled by John.. He had yet to break free from the man, but she would not give up on him she refused to. She just wanted to say it.. Tell him to come with her.. But her voice was failing her. So she just gave a sad smile as she fought back tears and held the coin close. Yes, it was a goodbye for now but she would find him again. He had helped her so much he was like family, a real family to her.
"Why can't you go with her?"
Jade's eyes widened as she then turned to look at the owner of the voice.
Amara was giving Sean a hard intense stare.
Taylor gave a shocked look as he looked at Amara so did Sarah but nether of them tried to stop her ether.
"Its clear you both care for each other.. What I would give to have my own parents to look at me like that." Amara said as tears started to form in her eyes.
"Why... Why stay with a guy that most likely does not care for you?? WHY...." Amara asked/demanded.
Jade then moved away from Sean walking over to Amara and placed a hand on her shoulder. " Stop... Its... Its ok... Jade started to say as now tears ran down her cheeks and her ears drooped.
"B-but!" Amara started to protest.
Jade just shook her head, " Its ok.. Jade started.
" Sean, you are like family to me.. I will wait for you... As you said this is goodbye for now but not forever. I look forward to showing you how much I have learned when next we meet. Also please look after the giant teddybear and small bunny we won together.." Jade said keeping her back to Sean, not wanting him to see her tears. She then started to walk away.
Amara, Taylor and Sarah all watched as Jade walked away then looked at Sean. Amara glared at him again, Taylor gave a sad gaze and Sarah well she was unsure how to really react so just rubbed the back of her head and looked off to the side.

Sean winced at Amara's words. She was right, after all. He knew full well that the man he currently followed was no longer the man who had saved him. He knew that he could never explain to the girl why he still obeyed John, why what was once loyalty for saving him from himself had changed into the loyalty of a man too far gone, a man who had done too much at John's behest to be separated from him. It was cowardly, to put it simply, but Sean didn't know if he could live with the guilt if he left now, and not when he had been tested so many times before.
Amara's words pierced through him, making him face his cowardice. Even so, he slinked away from himself. Maybe one day he could be strong, but until then, Amara would just be another person he disappointed. "Don't grow too fast, kid...I..." he whispered, cutting himself off before he said too much. With that, he left, too, electing to walk the opposite way.
