Eric and Katie's history it takes place in another city


Part 1

It was early in the morning the sun had not even come up yet. Eric lay in his bed sleeping when the alarm went off. Eric opened his eyes, getting up he started to get ready for the day. Today was the first day of 12th grade and he was now 18 years old. Once he was dressed for the day he headed out into the kitchen to get breakfast He looked around the cupboards for something to eat. He picked out a cereal he liked and got some milk to go with it. While he is eating his Mother came out in a rush as it seemed she was late for work. " Hai honey~ No time to talk I'm running late have a good day bye~" She said as she gave him quick kiss on the head and went out on the door. Eric smiled, a bit he was looking forward to getting a job so he could help his Mother out. She made him promise he would focus solely on school till he graduated high school, just one more year to go. After he finished eating Eric put his bowl in the sink and rinsed it off before putting it in the dishwasher. Eric's cellphone went off and looked and it was Katie his girl friend he had met over this last summer. She was a year younger then he was but she was mature for her age. Eric smiled and answered, "Hey Katie on my way now." He said with a chuckle. "Ok, just wanted to make sure you did not sleep in. See ya~" Katie said in a cheerful tone before hanging up.


Eric then grabbed his backpack and walked out the door locking the door behind him. After walking a few blocks he saw Katie waiting for him, she smiled and waved walking up to him and then started to walk next to him with a smile on her face. She had a cute short hair cut wearing a white shirt, blue jeans and white shoes. They had met when her cat had climbed up a tree and refused to come back down. So he went up there to get it and got a few scratches out of the ordeal, after that they hit it off and started to hang out together and the rest is history. "I know its only the first day of school but... I want it to be summer already." Katie said with a sigh. Eric chuckled, " Yeah I hear ya. I want to be able to get a job to help Mom with the bills and stuff." The two chatted as they walked and soon they came to the school. They then hung out with some friends a bit before heading off to their first period classes.

The day was going well seeing familiar faces and catching up with classmates and doing school work, then came 6th period class. Normally everyone looked forward to the last class of the day.. However Eric was dreading it.. His teacher for the class was a woman named Ms. Marsh, he never had her as a teacher up to this point but the last 4 years she always found ways to talk to him. She never did anything really but the way she looked at him.. It gave him chills, it was as if she was expecting something from him. Now he was stuck in a classroom with her. Wanting to stay as far as he could from her Eric sat down at seat in the back row. "Eric, please look at the assigned seating on my desk please." Eric looked at Ms. Marsh she was smiling gently at him and leaning on her desk as she motioned to the paper on her desk. Eric just nodded as he got up and walked over, as he looked at the assigned seating Ms. Marsh was uncomfortably close to him, he could feel her breath on him and could smell her perfume. Eric did his best to ignore this and saw where she wanted him to sit. "Dammit...."" Eric thought to himself. She had assigned him the closest seat to her desk right in the front row.

" Ah.. Ok." Eric said as he then sat down in his assigned seat. He did his best not to look at her now but he could feel her eyes on him, why did he have to so unlucky? The class then started when the bell rang and Eric did his best just to focus on his work. However it was a bit difficult as Ms. Marsh seemed to like to stand near him as much as she could. Just what was up with this woman? It.. It was like she was trying to flirt or something. Eric shook his head as soon as he thought that, nah he was just over thinking it. He was a student after all and she a teacher. Thankfully the bell rang, Eric wanted to get out of there he grabbed his backpack and started to leave the room. Eric made his way to the front of the school where he saw Katie, relief went through him as well as joy. It would be nice to hang out with her and try and forget about his last class. "Hey Katie, how was your day?" he asked as he came up to her. Katie smiled and waved as Eric walked up, " Eh it was ok I guess. Though it really sucks we don't have any classes together, I wish we where in the same year.." Katie said with a sigh. " So how was yours?" Katie asked in return. Eric smiled and placed one arm over Katie's shoulders as they started to walk. " Boring, and yeah I agree I wish we could also have a few classes together would make the day less dull." Eric replied, he choose to leave out the oddness with Ms. Marsh as it would most likely irk Katie and that she did not really need to know anyway as it was most likely nothing anyway.

"Ooh hey wanna go to the cafe? We can just hang out and work on any homework~" Katie suggested. Eric smiled and nodded and the two then made their way there. Once there they ordered some snacks and started to work on their homework. Everything was fine, Eric and Katie where enjoying themselves, talking laughing and so on. When suddenly someone called out to them. Eric froze when he saw it was Ms. Marsh, she was wearing a dress now and her hair was down. She was carrying bag of what looked liked groceries. She had a seemingly pleasant smile on her face. " Ah Hello Eric, what a surprise and who's this?" She asked in a friendly tone but there was a slight hint of jealousy as she looked at Katie. Eric frowned a bit, " What in the world is she doing here? First how she acted around me in class now she is here too?" Eric thought to himself. Though before he could reply Katie happily chimed in, " I'm Katie~ Eric's girlfriend." She said with cheerful glee. Eric watched as Ms. Marsh smile hardened and her eyes became angry and cold. But her voice remained sweet," Ah I see, Well I hope you two enjoy yourselves and Eric I look forward to seeing you again in class." She said as she then walked away. Eric and Katie watched as she walked away. Katie then looked at Eric with a tilt of the head, " So who was that?" she asked.

Eric sighed, " She is my 6th period class teacher Ms. Marsh. " He replied, "Look Katie I think its best we go home. Come on I will walk you home." Eric said as he started to put this things away in his backpack. Katie was a little shocked that Eric wanted to end the study date so soon. But she decided not to ask and just nodded putting her things away as well. Eric was able to get Katie home safely and made his way home too, though he could not shake the feeling he was being watched..


The next day once again Eric met up with Katie and they went to the school together and things started to go down hill. People started to treat Katie poorly, "Ooh look at that slut... Poor Eric she is just leading him on..." The girls would whisper just loud enough to be heard. And guys would come up to her and say. " Hey Babe. Wanna hook up?" Poor Katie looked at them in horror. " W-wha?? n-n-no! Get away from me!" Katie said as she tried to pull away but the punk grabbed her arm. " Aww come on don't be like that...." He said with a sick nasty smile. " No let go!" Katie said in a panic. Anger over came Eric as he grabbed the punk's arm hard casing him to yell in pain. "Let go of her... NOW." Eric said looking the punk dead in the eyes. " Ahhh ow ok ok!" He said as he let go of Katie who took a few steps back in fear. Eric let go of the punk's arm and also stepped back and stood protectively in front of Katie. The punk rubbed his arm and glared back at Eric. "Fine, whatever.. You can keep your whore!" He said as he and his buddies left.

Eric then turned to Katie and his heart sunk, Katie was in tears. Eric took a quick look around and saw people whispering and pointing. " Come on lets go.." Eric said as he placed a arm around her shoulders and guided her away trying to shield Katie from the looks and whispers. Eric lead the crying Katie away from the school building and sat her down. She was clearly rattled, her body was shaking as tears fell from her cheeks. " Why.... Why is this happening?" Katie sobbed as she then took out her cellphone, she pulled up a online media and her face color drained from her face. "No.... why..." said. "What let me see.." Eric said as he took Katie's phone from here and saw all kinds of nasty posts on her page among other things. Eric started to shake with rage, this was not the first time when he had a girl friend stuff like this started to happen to them.. They ended up leaving and he could not blame them. But this time Eric was not going to give up without a fight... He was going to find out who was spreading these rumors and put a stop to it!


He then put his hands on Katie's trembling shoulders and looked her in the eyes. "Katie listen to me.. I will find out who is behind this.. But right now for your safety I need you do go home. I will fight for you and clear your name. Call your Mom to come get you though.. I don't want you to walk home alone." Eric said. Katie looked at Eric and nodded as she tried to calm down, she then called home and of course the Mom was shocked and angry and agreed to come get Katie. It did not take long for Katie's Mother to come get her. " Thank you Eric, however I will be back to talk to the principal about this bulling! Lets go sweetheart." The Mother said to Katie and then drove away.

Eric watched as they drove away, he then turned and looked back at the school. " Alright... This is war..." He said as he made his way back in.

Part 2

When Eric went back into the school it was hard not to hear the whispers and the rumors everyone was talking about... Eric clinched his fists as he bubbled with rage, but he did not snap at anyone as that would not help. All he could do was watch and listen, and when he had time scan through Kate's page to try and see who started all this. Eric refused to speak to anyone as he just wanted to watch and observe.. Surely the one who started this is watching him... But why.. Why would someone do this? Harass the girl he loves to the point she is in tears and no longer safe at school? Why.. What was the point in all of this? Sadly the name he saw on the page was someone he did not know. Could be a fake account.. Dammit..


Through out the day Eric watched everyone and would give them a death glare if he heard anyone bring up Katie's name. However no one really did anything even after Katie had left.. That was until his last class of the day.... Ms. Marsh was acting giddy, she seemed be flouting almost. Eric did his best to ignore her.. However it was rather difficult when she stood so close to him. As the class went on she seemed to get annoyed however to the point of.... " Eric I need you stay after class please." She said. " You seem to be spacing out and not paying attention.. Its very unlike you.." She said. "" Yes mam..." He said. "Great.. What does she want now.." Eric thought to himself. Eric was not really in the mood to deal with his creepy teacher..


When class ended Eric stayed in his seat giving very annoyed look at Ms. Marsh. She just smiled at him as she stood in front of his desk, " You looked troubled.. Is somthing the matter?" She asked in a overly sweet voice. Eric stared at her before answering. " Just some school drama.. Look I rather Not ta-" He was suddenly cut off.
" Its about Katie isn't it? Ms. Marsh said cutting the young teen off. However when she said Katie's name there was a hint of annoyance in her tone. Eric just feel silent and stared at Ms. Marsh. : Yes, I have been hearing whispers about what's been going on, Its just so awful she would che-" This time it was Eric's turn to cut her off.
KATIE IS NOT LIKE THAT!"" He blurted out as he stood up and slammed his fist on his desk. " Some jack ass has been spreading rumors about her!" He replied.


Ms. Marsh jumped a little at his out burst blinking a little, " How can you be so sure? She is a young girl after all.. Her eyes can wonder.." Ms. Marsh said in a sickening soft voice as she then reached out to place her hand on top of Eric's hand. But he quickly moved his hand and he looked at her with a shocked look. It was very clear now to Eric.. The way she was trying to come on to him like this.. It was her... Was she.. In love with him?? The way she always acting around him now started to make sense now! "Its you.. You started the rumors! You... You started the rumors for my other girlfriends too didn't you!? " Eric asked as anger raised up within him. Ms. Marsh just smiled and nodded, " Yes, it was for your sake.. Our sake. They are not the ones for you. You are meant to be with me, you see you are reincarnation of my husband. You even have the same name as you did before. I have been trying to awaken your memories sweet heart." she said.

Eric stared at Ms. Marsh in horror, "Y-your crazy! Stay away from me!" He said as he quickly dashed out of the room. Ms. Marsh took out a cellphone and called someone. : Its time.. You know what to do... I will be at the cabin in a few days.." Is all she said before she hung up and also left the room to head to her car.


Eric ran out of the school, he wanted to get away... Though he did not make more then a few blocks from the school when a black van suddenly cut him off and some guys jumped out and over powered him dragging him into the van. " Let me Go Hmph!!!" He tried to say only to get ducktape placed over his mouth and then one of the guys took out a needle. Eric's eyes grew wide as he tried to struggle but was unable to move. They then stuck him with the needle and whatever it was quickly knocked him out.


A few hours later a Katie's house the phone would ring. She picked it up hoping it was Eric she really wanted someone to talk to. But it was his Mother, "Hello?" She asked. "Hello this is Eric's Mother, is he at your house Katie? He as not come home yet." Katie's blood then started to run cold. "No, he not here. I have not heard from him since school." Katie said trying to hide her fear from her voice. " Oh.. Ok sweetie if you do hear from him let me know..." Eric's Mom said in a teary tone before hanging up.


Katie then called Eric's cell phone but no answer, she then got on her computer and went to this online chat board they often hung out on and tried to message him there. She then took to the forms asking any of their online buddies if they had heard from Eric in the last few hours. Nothing... Katie was unable to sleep that night, she kept her cellphone on and near her and kept checking that online chat site.. But Eric never called or logged on.. Katie then grabbed her cellphone and tried calling Eric but all she got was a number can't be reached number. Going into full panic mode Katie started to call all their other friends and none of them had heard from Eric since he left school early.


"Something's not right..." Katie said in full panic mode, she then dashed to the police as fast as she could and explained what was going on. But to her horror the cops just shook their heads. " Sorry we can't do anything for 72 hours. If he has not come back in a few days then come back."

"Bullshit! He could be gone by then!" Katie cried out in anger as tears filled her eyes. She then ran out of the police station in tears running all the way back home. Katie then cried in her room a for a while before getting online and ranting about what was going on to her online friends in that chat group she and Eric where both part of.

That is when a user called Zero contacted her. " I may be able to help find Eric... Tell me everything that has happened the last few days up to this point. Every detail counts." Zero wrote.


Katie had never seen this guy before in chat.. But she had heard of a legend called Hacker Zero who helped people around the world.. If this was really him he would be Eric's best chance. So Katie then went over everything of the last few days.

Part 3

Zero read everything Katie and written out and immediately started to get to work. What stood out the most was the way this Ms Marsh was acting and how Eric was very uncomfortable with her, and the rumors that started happening soon after Ms. Marsh saw Eric and Katie together. One of the first things Zero did was hack into the school cameras they only showed the hallways and lunchroom but that was good enough and he even hacked into cameras near the school to. He soon found footage that caught his eye, Eric running out of a class room and soon after Ms Marsh comes out too. Then the video showed Eric leaving the school only to be taken by masked men in a black van however when he tried to run the plates they came back stolen. And he did his best to follow the van through cameras but it soon went left the city. "Hmmmm.... This is not gonna be easy.. But when is it ever is." Zero said as he cracked his knuckles and got to work.

In the middle of nowhere

Eric awoke to find himself tied and chained to a chair in a living looking at a TV. The young man struggled against his restraints but they did not budge what so ever. He looked around but saw no one. "Hey! Anyone here? Let me go!" Eric cried out with a mix of anger and fear in his voice. Soon a few men entered the living room. " Shut up.. The lady will be here in a few days... But to make sure you don't fight to much.. Heh..." He said as he held up a syringe. Eric's eyes grew wide, "N-n-no!
Please no!" Eric begged as the man came close to him and the others followed putting their hands on him to help hold him still. " Don't worry... Its just to help keep you relaxed.." He said as he injected Eric with whatever drug that was. immediately Eric felt weak and drowsy, the man chuckled, "Like I said.. relax... The lady will be here soon."

The men kept Eric drugged the next two days to make him easier to control. Ms. Marsh then entered the building and smiled when she saw Eric. " Darling I'm home!" She swooned as she come over to him. Eric glared at her, "You B**tch let me go!" He growled. Ms. Marsh just smiled and patted his head. " Think you boi's for taking care of him. Please stay I will cook us all up a wonderful dinner, and as we eat Eric baby We will watch our old home videos! Those will surly help you remember who you really are." Ms. Marsh said with a smile as she brought bags she had with her into the kitchen.

"Your crazy! I'm not your dead husband!" Eric said defiantly.

He was ignored however as Ms. Marsh started to cook dinner, after a hour or so it was finished, she first fed the hired thug guys. Then lastly herself and plate for Eric, however soon after the hired thugs started eating they started to act strange. They acted like they where choking and fell to the floor and stopped moving. Eric's eyes grew wide with horror. Did she poison them? "There there.. Now it can just be the two of us. Let me clean up the mess...." Ms. Marsh said as she then started to drag the bodies out of the cabin. "Oh.. My... God... She is insane.. I gotta get out.." Eric said to himself but thanks to being bound, and drugged he was pretty much helpless.

After a while Ms. Marsh was finished moving the dead bodies, she reentered with a smile walking over to Eric. He said nothing and gulped as he looked at the very insane woman, Ms. Marsh started a hum a little toon as she grabbed some tapes and put them in the vsh player. Soon a home video started to play. A younger Ms. Marsh was now on the screen, laughing and giggling and soon he appeared, Ms. Marsh's dead husband. Eric was shocked at how much they did look alike, no wonder she thought he was him reborn.

" See my darling? That is you, see how happy and in love we where? And this was one of your favorites too, please eat up." Ms. Marsh said as she tried to feed Eric.

Eric kept his mouth shut and just glared at Ms. Marsh. She blinked in confusion then a look of understanding. " Oh, I;m sorry darling! Its cold now, just a moment I will warm it up." she said as she then went back into the kitchen with the food.


" Its not the food that is the issue..." Eric mumbled. He then started to tear up, "Please... Please let there be someone looking for me.."

The rescue

Eric would have to suffer this for two weeks, Ms. Marsh had been planning this for years and had covered her tracks pretty well to the point even Zero was having issues so he had to call on his online gang he had created a few or so years ago. A lot more could be done with a lot more eyes on the case, with help he was able to find the missing info he needed. That years ago Ms. Marsh had bought a cabin the woods with cash. That would be the perfect place to hide someone. Now all he needed was plan to rescue Eric.




Eric had been forced to watch those home videos over and over again while listening to all of Ms. Marsh's stories and eating all of her dead husbands favorite foods. Even though Ms Marsh was claiming to help him remember he knew these where tactics for brainwashing.. So he kept Katie in his mind at all times, his parents and friends everything that made him who he was.. Eric refused to let Ms. Marsh change who he was. But... To get her guard down the last few days he started to play along, he had to gain her trust.. So she would stop drugging him and also hopefully not tie him up anymore.

" Oh Darling this is so wonderful~ Your memories are starting to come back." Ms. Marsh gushed.

"Yes my little love bird," Eric said. He cringed inwardly as he said that however, he was only copying what he heard her husband say in those blasted home videos. It seemed Ms. Marsh wanted this so badly she was not going to bother with any questions. But hey that worked in his favor and plus that she has not drugged him the last few days he felt his strength returning. Now if only she would untie him... But it seemed he needed to be even more convincing.... But there was a line he refused to cross.. Giving the best smile he could he asked, " Love bird, say would you like to go for a small walk? I.. I have been sitting for so long I would like to be able to stretch my legs a bit." Eric asked.

His true goal was to get a better look at the surrounding area and try and plan his escape.


Ms. Marsh looked at him a bit before smiling, " That sounds like a lovely idea darling. She said as she started to undo his bindings. However she then put ankle cuffs on him and cuffed his wrists though letting his arms remain in the front.

" Dammit.... She doesn't trust me one hundred percent yet... Oh well.. I can still get a look of the area. " Eric would think to himself.



Mean while elsewhere Zero was working hard to find Eric, he was checking everything about the teacher. He looked into every lead he could find but each one was a dead end.. Zero sighed as he leaned back into his chair. Had he met his match? This Ms. Marsh covered her tracks really well... No he would not give up there had to be something. Hours he looked into everything about Ms. Marsh, he practically felt like he knew the woman well by this point. Her story was a sad one to be sure.. But it seemed she snapped and thinks Eric may be her dead husband reborn. He felt pity for her but she needed help. Then Zero found it, Ms. Marsh had bought a mountain cabin years go... Ah it was around the same time she could have first met Eric in middle school.. Wow this woman had been planning this for some time... With the address in hand Zero then sent messages to the Invisibles asking who would be willing to help with Eric's rescue.


A few hours later Zero had his team ready sent them along with Katie to the cabin.


Eric was back inside and tied to a chair as he stared at the TV.. He wished he could wake from this waking nightmare... Soon Ms. Marsh was by his side again and turned on the TV as she started to play those tapes again. How long could he last like this? Was anyone even looking for him? All he could hope was that Katie was somehow getting help. Suddenly Ms. Marsh put her hand on his leg. Eric tensed up, "SHIT SHIT SHIT SHIT!" He thought as he started to panic. He looked at Ms. Marsh who was looking at him lovingly. " Eric... Its been two weeks now... I was thinking we should get a little more serious.. Perhaps that will help unlock your memories..." She said in a seductive tone as she ran her hand up and down his leg.

Eric broke into a cold sweat, "N-no I-I'm n-not ready for that yet.. Please no." Eric said as his nerves where getting the better of him as he started to go into a full blown panic. Ms Marsh then stood up, " I will go get something..... More comfortable on..." She said with smile and started to head to the bed room. The front door slammed opened and a few men rushed in and tackled Ms. Marsh to the ground. She started to screaming and tried to fight back but was quickly subdued. NO!! YOU RUINED EVERYTHING!
LEAVE US ALONE!!! I NEED MORE TIME!" Ms. Marsh raged as she was tied up.

Eric stared stunned, people?? They took her down?

" ERIC!!" She cried as she rushed in and hugged him crying, she then tried to start untying him but was unable to do so.

Tears started to run down Eric's cheeks, Katie did mange to find help.. She had been looking for him, and she was here! Eric broke down crying. The stress of the last two weeks and the joy of being saved hit him all at once. One of the guys nothing as he walked over to Eric, taking out a knife and started to cut the ropes. Katie was quick to get the ropes off once the guy had cut them and hugged Eric again.


After that the police where called and Ms. Marsh was taken away and Eric taken to a hospital to be checked out. Katie never left Eric's side, and Eric really appreciated it.

Suddenly there was a knock at the door and Zero stepped in. Katie lit up, " Zero!! Oh Eric this is Zero he was the only one who listened to me when I said something must have happened to you. He was the one who was able to find you."

Eric blinked but then smiled, "Oh? I guess I owe you a lot then, thanks for saving me."

Zero chuckled and shook his head. " No, you don't owe me anything. I just came to check on you and recommend a great psychiatrist. You have been through a lot of trauma, she can help you out. Only if you want her contact info though." Zero said has he held out a card. He would not force it on Eric if he said no however, in his mind everyone deserved freedom of choice.

Eric blinked but nodded as he took the offered card. Though he was a man who hated being in debt to someone.

"Ok thanks.. But still if there is anything I can do to --" Eric was cut off when Zero held up a hand to stop him.

" Just focus on yourself for now, if I need help with something I will contact you ok?"

Eric smiled and nodded.

Zero nodded back and then left the room.


It would be a year or so later till Zero would contact Eric and Katie, he asked them to help out in a city called Aster city and the two of them happily agreed to go live there. For them it would be a new start for them both.
