For a few months now Zero had been looking into a man called Johnathon O'Connor, He is a psychiatrist that ran his practice from home. Now that was legit as a lot of psychiatrists did that.. But what was the red flag was a lot of his patient's would rob banks, stores ect. Every time they got arrested Johnathon would for a lack of a better word, sweet talk the court into letting them free. Zero started to feel something was off about this... Was he just a gifted silver tongue or was he paying people off? And was he sending his patient's to rob those places? If so what for? Well only way to find out was to get a inside look. His crew protested however when he said he was going to handle this one himself. He stayed firm on this he did not know how dangerous this was going to be and did not want any of his group to get hurt. So he used his tech skills to make a fake life. His name would be Tony Brown, he had moved away from his family to start college in Aster city but was not doing well and ended up dropping out and was now in a lot of dept.


So that is what brought him to a overpass above traffic below. Zero leaned on the railing talking into a ear peace. "Come on Zero just let me do this." Katie on the other end begged. Zero just smiled, " We have been over this... I'm not changing my mind... I'm going dark now ok? I have a cellphone and you just pretend to be my little sister just follow the plan I have set up." Was the last thing Zero said to Katie as he took out the ear peace crushing it and letting it fall to the ground below. Everything had been planned, this was a route a man named Dmitri took a lot and he was one of John's patient's and it seemed the best way to get in was to pretend he was unstable. Zero then made tears form in his eyes as he then stepped up on the railing just as their target came around. Zero then started to jump.

Just as Zero had planned, the rather large Dimitri was passing by just as the man began his spectacle. "Ah! Young man! There is no need to do this!" was all Dimitri could think to say as he began to sprint towards the man. He just barely made it in time, diving in order to catch stranger by the arm as he cleared the ledge and began falling down to the waiting traffic below. "Hrgnn! Young! Man! You! Shouldn't!" he grunted with the sudden exertion he put his body through. He was already rather tired. The energy used to sprint up to the overpass, diving like a madman, and now supporting the other man's weight at what was, to be honest, a rather awkward angle. Still, he wasn't going to let go, no matter what. He couldn't just let this kid die. That wasn't the kind of thing that the doctor had taught him to do. No. He was going to hold on to this arm, no matter what. "Do...you want to talk...about things?" he asked. Not for the first time, he cursed his still lingering accent. In such a serious situation, he felt it made him seem...less caring than he was. Oh well, there was no use worrying about that at this exact moment.

This was the part that could have ended the mission, if Dimitri had not been fast enough Zero would be a pancake on the road below. But thankfully he was fast enough and was able to catch Zero by the arm. " Ah what the!! Agh!!" Zero cried out in shock and in a pained voice as his shoulder popped and a sharp pain was now going through his shoulder/arm, well that was just great did his shoulder dislocate? Better then falling to the ground though he supposed. Zero then glared at Dimitri as tears ran down his cheeks. "  Let me go it would just be better if I was dead." Zero said in a sorrowful tone as as he hung there, ignoring the question if he wanted to talk. Mean while a small crowed started to gather and among them was Eric, another helper of Zero. He was mostly there to make sure nether Zero or Dimitri would fall over and would jump and in to help if he had to. Mean while he looked shocked and a pit panicked like everyone else who was watching. Man though he was always impressed by Zero's acting skills. If he had not known him, he would be falling for this act hook line and sinker.

"I am afraid...young man...that I cannot let you go, even if that's your wish!" Dimitri began, obviously gaining back some energy after his mad dash and catch. "What kind of man would do this thing you ask of me? No good man at all. This is true!" he continued with a small, though still somewhat strained smile towards the lad.

"Now, I do not know if you are feeling any better, but I think we'd all be better off with you back on solid ground, uh?" the large man offered, shortly before he began lifting the boy back up to the railing. "No struggling, now. Let us talk about these things, yes?" Honestly, he was half expecting the kid to just try to jump right off again. Still, it wouldn't do to keep him in a position where he could easily fall out of Dimitri's grasp.

Zero winced as Dimitri started to pull him back up, his shoulder and arm hurt so bad right now. However Zero just let his body go limp as if he had no more fight in him. Mostly becuse he did not want Dimitri to drop him as it would be most unpleasant, and he also did not want the man to end up falling over ether. "You don't even know me! Why do you care?" Zero protested. It did not take long for Dimitri to be able to get him over the railing. He made no move to jump over instead just fell to his knees with one hand over over his right shoulder. " Heh..I'm so bathetic.. I can't even die right..." Zero chuckled meekly as the tears ran down his cheeks, he did not even look at anyone and just stared down at side walk in front of him.

"Why do I care? Why does any man care for another? We are all on this blue rock together, young man! We must look for one another!" Dimitri answered the man, his own spirits lifted a bit at the youth's lack of trying again to do the unthinkable. He gave Zero a hearty slap on the back, amicable, in a way, if he weren't so large. "I have seen many men die. I have seen horrors the children tell tales of. I have no heart to watch these things happen when I can help it! Now tell me, what is your name? You may call me Dimitri! he offered readily, switching from a grim tone to a rather amicable one in just a few seconds. He was an odd, to be sure, though it didn't seem like he was a bad man. He was just...earnest.

Zero was not expecting a slap on the back, "Ah! Ow!!" Zero groaned as pain shot through his shoulder and arm. Oi easy there big fella..." Zero thought to himself. Zero looked up at Dimitri as the man said his own name and then asked for his. He did not reply right away though, Zero look away shaking his head. " It doesn't matter who I am.. I'm just... I'm just a loser I can't do anything right..." Zero said once again looking back at the sidewalk.

"Bah! This loser talk! It is for the birds, I say!" Dimitri said rather forcefully, "You can trust Dimitri here! He, too, used to think these things! 'Dimitri is a burden!' 'Dimitri fails at even simplest things!' Bah to those thoughts as well! You are not a loser, and I can prove it!" without another word, he ruffled through his jacket, and pulled out a pack of crackers. "This is you. Useful, nice...good." he began, obviously struggling to find the right words to say. If the doctor were here, this would be so much easier. Still, he couldn't rely on the doctor for everything. Without warning, he then threw the packet down into the waiting traffic below "Now, that is lost. You cannot be a loser, for you have not lost what is most important." Dimitri pointed a finger directly at the man's chest. "You have not lost...you. Now, who is you? Please, I would like to know."

Zero kept looking down at the ground tears running down his face as Dimitri spoke, however as he spoke Zero glanced up a bit as the man tried to use crackers to show him he was not lost because he was alive. When he tossed the pack of crackers over the side Zero blinked a bit just giving a slight confused expression, as if he was confused as to why this stranger would care so much. When Dimitri suddenly pointed his finger at his chest Zero for the first time looked up and locked eyes with Dimitri. He saw how earnest the man was, Zero then looked away off to the side. Giving a defeated sigh, ".... My name is Tony..." Zero replied. Suddenly Zero's cellphone started to ring making Zero jump and also wince. He took it out to see who was calling, frowned hit the cancel button and put it back in his coat pocket.

"Tony...Tony, Tony, Tony." Dimitri repeated the youth's name, as if testing a strange appliance, sounding it out carefully, to see just what it was. "Is a good name!" he finally offered with a flash of his pearly whites. "Now, Tony, I understand this, if you do not want to speak of things, but I would like to ask anyway. Can you tell me, what is this reason that you are here today? If you need privacy, this is okay, I can help there. I know how things be. Too many people around, it makes it hard to speak of issues like this." there was a sincerity in the man's voice. He wasn't helping Tony to bring someone new to the doctor, and even if that was an inevitable suggestion, it would be a suggestion given out of compassion. A suggestion given because Dimitri truly wanted to help this youth, and he honestly felt getting the boy helped by non other than Doctor O'Connor was the best thing he could do. Still, first things was first. He had to talk to the boy first, and get a grasp on what was truly wrong.

Zero gave a weak chuckle when Dimitri said he wanted to help, wanted to talk. He shook his head and slowly stood back up as his shoulder throbbed with pain. " I didn't wake up today thinking about killing myself.. Just walking by and decided to end it all.." Zero said through his tears. "No one can help me... I'm just a burden to everyone around me. To my little sister most of all, it would just be better for her if I just disappeared.. But I can't even do that right.. Please just leave me alone.." Zero said as he then started to walk away full well knowing that Dimitri would most likely stop him. His phone suddenly started to ring again but Zero ignored it.

As Tony spoke, Dimitri's face grew sorrowful. It was as if thousands of old wounds were suddenly opened in the large man. He had seen this play out before. He had...been unsuccessful before. He couldn't let this happen again. He jogged back up to the boy, and placed his bear paw of a hand on his shoulder to stop him. "You are no burden to me, Tony. I like talking with you. You have a good voice. It is strong, with no accent. A true American voice. I haven't known you more than ten minutes, but I think that you have value. Your sister, she tells you to do this thing? If not, I can't imagine she thinks of you as burden, just like me." the big man said. His voice was steady, but there were definitely tears beginning to form in his eyes. "This thing that you do, it is permanent. You can never make sister happy again. You can never hold family again. Family can never say goodbye. Trust me, this is worst part. I do not think those who love you want to let you go so simple. Doing this thing is worse than whatever sadness you think you've put them through. Please, just talk to me of this for a time more, before you make your next move. Can you at least give that?" Dimitri asked, his grip tightening ever so slightly.

[Yuki]

Zero came to sudden stop when Dimitri placed his hand on his shoulder, he was grateful it was not his injured one though. Zero stood there in silence as if taking in everything Dimitri was saying. His cellphone kept ringing but once again he ignored it. "I... I moved here from my home town to go to college.. I wanted to learn how to work on computers.. I used all the money that was left to me when my Mother died.. But.. I blew it.. I thought I could do it but I failed.. All the money is gone and now I have dept that I can't pay.. I.. I can't face my sister she worries about me to much already.. She has always been the stronger one.. She was always there when I was depressed.. I thought I was over it I was getting better after what happened.. But those feelings over whelmed me.. I started second guessing myself.. My grades dropped.. I had no choice but to drop out.." Zero said through his tears as his body started to tremble. " I can't pay rent.. I got my week notice a day ago... I have no where to go... I.. I just don't know what to do...." Zero said as he then broke down crying.

[The Izzack]

Dimitri listened quietly as Tony gave his story. It was a story that he had heard many times. Sure, the motives, names, and situations changed, but the same desperation always shone through, like a beacon in the fog. However used to the tale he was, though, it still hurt him deep inside each time he heard it. It always reminded him of his own story, his own desperation, his own failures. He waited for the lad to calm down a bit from his breakdown before he spoke. "I know this tale." he began, bringing the youth in closer to him into a comforting shoulder hug. "Not the tale as you have told it, but I have known others who felt as you do now. Myself, I have felt this...hopelessness before. I cannot promise you that the pains, the regrets go away. No, these things are scars that stay with us forever, forming memories of the good times. What I can promise you, is this. I can promise you can make it through this. I will help, if you want this help. If you need, I can offer shelter. I can offer hope of new beginnings. I cannot offer success, though. This thing, you must work towards yourself, young Tony. What do you say?" he finished his offer, looking down towards the boy, awaiting his response.

Zero was not expecting a side hug and flinched in pain, how he wished he could just pop his shoulder back in so it could start healing. Sadly he would just have to deal with it for now, the seemingly young man slowed his crying as if he was calming down a bit. He listened to Dimitri's speech when the man finished Zero did not say anything as if he was thinking about what was just said. Zero then looked up at Dimitri, his expression was showing he was still unsure about this but the seemingly young teen nodded. "Ok.. I... I need help.. please..." He said in a somewhat hopeful but teary tone.
