Taking a shortcut turns for the worst (Open)

Everything happened to fast, a dagger thrown Cedric moved to dodge it only to see it now headed to his partner. "Krea Wa-" he was suddenly caught off when his body suddenly felt heavy and he collapsed to the ground. He was not the only one, Sarah, Kenji, Krea and Kaede, all went down as gravity itself seemed to pull them down. The dagger that was headed to Krea now lay on the ground never hitting its target.


What??" Cedric said as he tried to move but the pressure was to great.

" What the heck?? What kind of magic is this??" asked Kenji as he to struggled in vain to move.


"Gahhh, Can't move!" Sarah groaned.


"Cedric!!!" Krea called out to her partner.


Then someone new approached.

Dominic walked over with his staff glowing. It was clear he was the one behind pinning everyone. He walked right over to Cedric.

" You where not given orders to attack... This will reflect poorly for you and your partner" Dominic said in a cold tone.

" know your place mage...." Cedric growled.

Dominic scoffed, " It is YOU that needs to learn his place... Lady Elizabeth has sent me to fetch you both.. She wants a word with the both of you.."

Dominic then muttered a spell and in a blink of a eye both the templars and the mage where gone and gravity returned to normal.

Sarah quickly stood up and blinked as it sunk in what just happened, she then looked at Kenji and Kaede.

" Hey, you guys alright?" she asked. Though that mage... It was the same one from the day of the attack on the school...He was alone this time however, Elizabeth was not with him this time. They are templars right? Why have they helped twice now? She would have to speak with the other Guardianss later about this. for now she would keep it to herself. Aghhh this was all just so frustrating!!

Kenji stood up and sighed as he went to get his dagger.

"Yep, I'm all good." he replied as he put his dagger and short sword away.

Kaede suddenly realizing that she missed started to make her mind race and now this would leave her wide open for attack, that was until the dagger was now lined up to hit Krea instead. All she could hope for was that the dagger going that direction would hopefully catch Cedric off guard long enough for her to do something as Cedric was still armed with a powerful weapon. That all suddenly changed when she felt as if her own body felt heavy like she was falling to the ground but something felt off. She wasn't exhausted or out of energy but it felt like something was pulling her towards the ground by force. "Oww! what the-?", she said after having her entire body stuck to the ground. She tried to move but whatever was causing her to be pinned to the ground didn't allow her to budge, but then she realized she wasn't the only one affected by this as well as she could see everyone else in the same situation. At least now she didn't have to worry about dealing with Cedric because now she had a new problem of not being able to get back up. This all was revealed sooner or later as another figure that looked like a mage appeared in front of her and it was facing Cedirc. After listening to the two of them it turns out the mage knew Cedric which would also mean he might know Krea as well and it turns out they were here against orders. "(So these two were knights that attacked without orders? just what exactly were they up to?)" she thought while still being pinned to the ground. At first she thought she was going to get finished off there and then but fortunately the mage took the two knights with him and vanished in the blink of an eye and now she was able to get back up again. "Rgh! the heck was that all about?" she said as she got up finally not being under the effect of whatever caused her to be stuck to the ground.

Sarah sighed in relief when it seemed the other two where unharmed. Though she clinched her fists as she seethed with anger, templars showed up at the school again.. Would they come again? And with more people?? Wait no... That mage said they where not supposed to even be here... Though that was of little comfort what if more small groups like that showed up again on their own accord.. Would the school truly be safe anymore?? Would the Guardians be able to protect everyone?? So many questions without answers was very frustrating, Sarah started to tear up in frustration.


Kenji just stood there awkwardly and sighed as he looked over at his bags of groceries he had dropped when he joined in the fight.

" Well umm... I better go... Maaan gonna catch a ear full from my old man..." Kenji grumbled as he picked up the bags of groceries and left.

" Sarah!!" Called out Taylor, he ran out of the school right over to Sarah. With two teachers close behind him, Levi Garcia and Julian Rose.


Levi walked over to Sarah placing a hand on her shoulder with a look of concern.
" Sarah, are you ok? Are you hurt?" he asked.

Taylor stayed close to Sarah worried about her.


Sarah shook her head as she wiped away her tears.
"No... Just very angry and frustrated.. She admitted.

Levi looked at her with a understanding look, he to knew the very same frustration when
he was a hero back in the day.. But there was nothing he could say to comfort Sarah.


Mean while Julian looked over at Kaede and walked over to her.

"Miss are you alright? " It looked like she had been caught up in the fight, she did not seem to be a student but he still wanted to make sure she was ok.

Suddenly Kaede notice a few other people came out of the school. It was the kid from earlier plus two adult that looked like teachers however she didn't realize that one one of them would walk over to her and then she knew she'd have to come up with some explanation as for why she was here to begin with. "Huh? umm...yeah I'm fine! I just...uhh...didn't realize I'd get wrapped up into this whole incident." Kaede said while trying to come up with an excuse that she could use so she wouldn't look out of place since she technically didn't go to this specific school. While this was all going on she was hoping to not stay for a while for authorities to stop by to question her again or to have the news broadcasting team show up to do a live report and have her face shown on TV again. In the end she knew this would end up being a story she would have to explain to Kaleo, but it wasn't her fault for getting into these fights. She usually would try to stay out of trouble but when she did, then trouble would just come looking for her.

Levi looked at Sarah, Taylor and the other girl that had been a part of this mess. Well there was not much else they could do at this point.. School was most likely going to closed early thanks to this.. Also Sarah was clearly not in the greatest emotional state to keep staying at school.. Taylor was upset too.. It was best for now to get these two into the school before anyone from the media showed up. He then would just call Sarah's brother and Taylor's parents to come pick them up.


" Ok... Sarah, Taylor lets go back inside.. You should most likely get out of here to before any media shows up." Levi said to Kaede. Levi then started to guide Sarah and Taylor back to the school.



Julian would give a relieved smile and nodded. " Ok, glad you are not hurt." He said and then turned to look at Levi when he spoke and nodded, before looking back at Kaede. " Stay safe miss." Julian would say before following after Levi and the others.

"Alright, will do" Kaede said as she began to leave the school grounds. After what had happened she hurried back to Kaleo's office hoping this time she wouldn't show up on the news like last time but considering everything that happened it would be a possibility. As she was heading back she remember the two knight that caused the trouble and why they were there to begin with. It didn't really make much sense in what they were doing and they called themselves the Templars which made it sound like it was something out of a work of fiction. For now she didn't have any idea on what they're about besides causing trouble and they were much more of a threat than the other day where she had to deal with Marunn and his cronies at the park. She would have to be a lot more careful going forward as this was a fight she had never been in before while putting her own life at risk. However she was glad she wasn't the only one taking the fight to them today and it was a good thing too otherwise who would know what would happen.
