Kaleo had been in her office all morning looking over some missing person cases that had been brought to her. She was working on ways sort them out when she felt something that set a chill sown her spine. It was a strange but familiar energy.. Like when she ether summoned a spirit or on those rare times she set foot in the spirit world.. Why was she feeling this? With a uneasy feeling Kaleo got up from her desk and walked over to her office door what she saw when she opened the door filled her with dread. There where spirits every where! A lot seemed to be confused while others where enjoying the fact they where back in the world of the living. In a daze from shock Kaleo stepped outside onto the side walk. " What in the world?? Why?" Kaleo asked as she stared, though she soon snapped herself out of her daze and her heart started to race. She then took off in a run down the side walk. "I have to figure out what's going on... I just hope I don't get blamed for this." Kaleo said as she raced home, she knew of some people who would most likely point the blame at her. She then took her cellphone out and called her sister Zosima. "Zosmia! Meet me at the house!" Kaleo said and before her sister could answer Kaleo hung up and hoped that no one would get in her way.

"Well that was fun while it lasted, now I'm just about out of money!" Kaede said as she walked out of Aster city's game corner. She had spent the majority of her morning there checking out the games they had there and playing them, after she had been there long enough she decided to go get some lunch from a nearby burger shop but as she was walking she noticed something about her surroundings were off and it didn't take her long to realize that the town was soon flooded with people that were actually spirits. "What the heck?... are those suppose to be people who already died?" Kaede asked herself as she stared at them, but after a minute she decided to get her phone out and call Kaleo, the one person she knew who would have more information about this. "I better hope this is just some misunderstanding and not some weird curse" She says as she dials Kaelo's number and waits while the phone is ringing.

Izzack had spent most of his day in his home, practicing some of his less...violent magic. There was little sense in trying to go out during Halloween. After all, with everyone doing their...spooky costume thing, he'd probably confuse a person just trying to scare him as someone trying to attack him, and then things would escalate, and...he didn't exactly want to think about it.
That changed, however, when suddenly he felt a sense of dread that overpowered just about all of his other senses. It didn't take much for him to realize that it was magical in nature, and he decided to look outside the windows of his house. Oh no. That was a lot of spirits, but why? What had happened to bring so many unfortunate souls back to the realm of the living? Was this...was this the work of the necromancer that Kaleo had told him about? It wasn't out of the question, to be sure, and so, with questions racing through his mind at all the events, he left his home, scythe in hand, searching for Kaleo. Either she knew what was happening, or, being a necromancer, spirits would be drawn to her energy, meaning she could use assistance. At least, that was Izzack's reasoning.

Kaleo was making her way down to her house and was trying not to be noticed by the spirits who some looked to be in a daze, then her phone started to ring. Kaleo stopped and looked at it to see that Kaede a young girl she was helping had called. Kaleo answered the phone, "Kaede dear. I'm sorry but I cannot speak right now. Though I need you to go back to the house you will be safe th- Ah!" Kaleo was suddenly cut off as a evil spirit came in for the attack. Kaleo had dropped her cell phone as she quickly did a spell to protect herself. Ahahaha! I have waited to get my revenge on you Kaleo! Thanks to you I was put on death row and killed!" And the angry sprint. Kaleo rolled her eyes, " You killed your wife out of cold blood just for insurance money! I say that was a fitting end for you." Kaleo said as she now got ready for a fight. Also seeing as Kaleo's cell phone was still on Kaede would be able to hear everything that was going on.
Mean while in another part of the city was Sophie and her friends, they had been apartment and small house shopping, seeing as she had Showclaw a house would be better but the young immortal wanted to keep her options open. As they walked Sophie felt a shiver go down her spine and she suddenly felt like she was in the spirit world. She came to a stop and blinked, " Huh... Did I just suddenly die?" Sophie asked as she then looked around. Nope she was still in the city... But why did she feel like she was in the spirit world then? Shadowclaw's fur was now standing up on end making her look like a very fluffy fox. "Sophie look..." she growled. Sophie looked and gasped at what she saw, not very many things shocked her anymore. But seeing spirits flood the streets was something new. " That is not something you see everyday..." said the young immortal. Suddenly screams could be heard as the more evil spirits started to attack. " Oh boy here we go... Time to use those spiritual spells those spirit monks taught me all those years ago.." Sophie said as she then dashed in as she started to chant a mantra in another language as well as doing some hand signs. When done she released a spiritual attack on the ghosts and temporary dispersed them.
" Sophie." Said a voice she knew all to well, she then turned to see her Mother behind her. " M-Mom! You are here too?" Sophie asked the Pirate Captain. Concetta smiled and nodded, " Aye, I don't really know why though... I was just in the spirit world and suddenly found me self here." Concetta replied. So there was somethinf going on and it was bringing the spirits to the world of the living.. Sophie then smiled as she looked at her Mother. " Mother... Do you want to help me figure out whats going on? It will be like old times." Sophie said with a smile. Concetta smiled and nodded as she then drew her ghostly sword. " Aye!Its going to be good to go one a adventure with me daughter again, besides something bad could happen if this keeps happening" Concetta said. Sophie laughed and nodded, " Lets get going." Sophie said and all of them then took off.

As soon as Kaleo's message was cut off it was difficult to tell what was going on the other end of the call. The rest of the call sounded like there was a struggle but what was being said was all muffeled. "Dang it! That didn't sound good... but if any of these spirits are that aggressive I better get back to Kaleo's place." Kaede immediately started looking for the nearest bus stop but it didn't take too long for traffic to immediately get congested to the point where catching a bus was pointless. "Great...first random spirits are wandering the city, and now traffic is bad. Looks like I've got no choice but to go on foot and hope Kaleo is still in one peice. *sigh* As if Halloween couldn't get any worse." On foot, Kaede had a bit of distance to get to Kaleo's home, and getting there was not going to be easy if she were to run into any spirits that would decide to attack her.

"I just don't understand. Why upset so many souls? I don't see the purpose behind it, other than to cause mayhem..." Izzack muttered to himself as he ran down street after street, hoping to find Kaleo, or at least something that would help him figure out the cause of all of this.
Instead, he found a rather young lady being accosted by a spirit. Well, perhaps 'accosted' was too aggressive of a term, as it would appear that the two were friendly enough. Still, this was the first proper interaction between living and dead that he had seen during this crazy situation. "I suppose there's no harm in observing these ones, in case the spirit is merely...pretending to be friendly?" Izzack didn't even seem certain in his thoughts as he began following the small group. He didn't make any real effort to remain hidden, mostly because he assumed that, with everything else going on, these people wouldn't be too concerned about someone who looked like they were in a dumb costume.

Kaleo made quick work of the angry spirit, using her magic to knock him out for a while. "Honestly... Killing me wont change the fact you are already dead...." Kaleo grumbled after her short lived battle. "Ah,Kaede!" Kaleo said as she picked up the cellphone that she had dropped. She then called Kaede back, "Kaede, never mind what I said before. Come to my office instead I will be waiting for you there." Kaleo said as she then hung up not waiting for a answer she then called her sister again telling her the same thing. Though told Zosima to find Kaede to make sure she would be safe. " Rather do the magic needed at home.. But there is no time.. " Kaleo said as she raced back to her office, once inside she drew the curtains so no one could see inside. Kaleo then started to get to work on the spell she needed to figure out what was causing this to happen. She had to work fast... There was no telling what could happen if this kept going.
Zosima had been wondering around the city when all this happened though when Kaleo called and ask her to take care of Kaede she went off to do so. This was a very uneasy feeling for the Shikabane Hime... She almost felt like her soul was going to leave her body.. But thanks to Kaleo's spell on her, her soul stayed. Zosima ran as fast as she could, knowing every minute it took to find Kaede the more likely she was going to be attacked most likely. Thankfully it did not take long and Zosima was able to find Kaede. "Kaede!" Zosima called out as she got closer. " Kaleo asked me to find you, come with me and stay close." Zosima said as she then started to make her way to Kaleo's office.

As much as Sophia wanted to find out what was going on she had no real clue how to it... Not like she had any real magic she use, not that did not try to learn magic during her long life though, just seemed she did not have spark for it. " Maaan! If only I could use magic... Then it would be easier to pin point the tare that was made between the spirit world and the world of the living.. Gotta say though.. If someone is using magic to do this its going to be hard to beat them.. But I can't help but think.. It could be more then one person.. Like a group of necromancers. But why just bring back spirits?? And not walking corpses.. That is what they normally do right? Make zombie armies... Hmmm..." Sophie said as she thought out load. " Heck, I'm surprised the Spirit Queen has not shown herself.. I would think she would be angry." " Sophie said with a small chuckle.
Concetta nodded in agreement, "Aye... It is indeed odd she has not done anything... Guess she is leaving it up to others to fix this I guess. Risky I must say.. In my days as a pirate captain if something went wrong I took care of it my myself!" Concetta said as she remembered those long ago days when she was still alive. She then moved closer to Sophie and spoke softly to her. " We have a grim reaper following us..." The ghost pirate captain said in soft tones. As a Spirit Concetta was able to tell when a reaper was near by. Sophie kept on walking not even trying to look back and see this reaper. " Is that so." Sophie said not really worried about it. She knew Reapers where not bad or anything.. But why was it wasting time following them for? Ahhh Sophie could not resist asking. She then came to a stop and with a smile looked back at Izzy with a smile. " Hey, don't you have more important things to do then follow us around? People might mistake you for a stalker " Sophie said with a small laugh. Mean while Gloria and remained silent, though they too where very uneasy with everything that has been going on.

"Gotta say Kaleo, meeting you back at the office than having to travel on foot to your place was a pretty good idea, but mind telling me what exactly is going on?" Kaede asked once she was inside Kaleo's office, she was still wondering what was going on. Her hunger however grabbed her attention since she had to skip lunch and as she waited for Kaleo to answer she looked around the office for food. Since the office didnt really have any food, Kaede always kept a stash of snacks. "Hey, you didn't toss out the snacks I hid here did you?" she replied while still searching the office hoping her snacks didn't get tossed or eaten, and if they had been she would have to go back out and run the risk of getting attacked by spirits. The last time she left food out in the office just disappeared on her and she assumed it got tossed straight into the garbage. It didn't take long to find her stash of snacks and she immediately grabs a soda and a bag of cheese puffs.

"I..." Izzack paused, not exactly expecting to be noticed so quickly. Still, nothing really changed. "You're being followed...I mean, by me, yes, but also...well, I uh..." he stopped again, feeling a bit stupid. This was probably where he was supposed to be the cool, mysterious stranger, but four words in, and he was already stumbling over himself. He took a deep breath, then continued.
"You have that spirit following you. I would like to know why." his words were a bit stilted, as if he was carefully thinking of each syllable before it left his mouth, but the message was clear. At least, he hoped it was clear. Hopefully this woman wouldn't think of him as anything more than a person who, up until recently, was merely enjoying Halloween, and was now trying to figure out what was going on. That was true, in a way, but still. "What is happening here?" he awkwardly asked

Kaleo was only half listening to Kaede when she entered the office with Zosima. She had to cast a spell, "Hmm? No dear I did not touch them." Kaleo said off handedly as prepared for the spells. Thanks to the wards she had placed when she bought the building the spirits unless invited where being kept out. "Ok you two I need you both to keep silent please.. The spell I am casting is a bit difficult..." Kaleo said as she then started to chant as she casted her spell. Thanks to the spirit world being opened up the spell was she casting was surprising easier cast. Soon the image of the Spirit Queen was before them. Kaleo would not normally talk to her but she needed to know what was going on. "Spirit Queen It is I Kaleo, As I'm sure you are well aware there has been a breach spirit world. I need to know where the source so I can stop whoever is doing this. Please tell me. ." Kaleo asked and hoped the normally neutral Spirit Queen would help.
The Spirit Queen looked at Kaleo and nodded, " Yes I can feel it. Kaleo you are not alone in this search. One of my immortal warriors is here and she is with Izzack. I need you to find them and team up with them. Then use the gift I gave you years ago.. It shall help you find what you seek." The Spirit Queen replied. Kaleo froze a bit when she was told she had to use the gift she had been given. It was something she did not want to use but if the Spirit Queen said to well who was she to argue. " Ok, I will find them. I just hope Izzy does not think I had anything to do with this.." Kaleo said and with that the Spirit Queen vanished. Kaleo stood there a few minutes as she collected her thoughts. She then looked at Kaede. "Kaede, This most likely going to dangerous. You can stay here where its most likely the safest or you may come with us. Its your choice dear." Kaleo said and offered a smile. Though under that smile she was just as scared about this as everyone else.

Sophie smiled when the reaper asked who the ghost was and what was going on. Soo this guy was a newbie and pretending to a normal human, ha cute. Well Sophie could play along. " Well this is my Mom, so that is why she following me around. As for what is going on not a clue... But someone has clearly opened a hole in the vail between spirit world and the world of the living." Sophie said, though now she kinda hoped Reapers could not tell how old a spirit is.. Oh well if he could it was not the end of the world, it was not a bad thing if a reaper found out she was a immortal. "Standing around here though is not gonna help. Hey Mom being a ghost and all can you feel where the tare is?" Sophie asked Concetta. The pirate caption shook her head. " Sorry no I cannot." She replied. Sophie snapped her fingers, "Dam worth a shot... Don't think I can find it using my spiritual spells.. I can only attack ghosts or ward them off.." Sophie sighed as she crossed her arms and sighed.

As soon as Kaede heard Kaleo say those words, she finished her soda, tosses the empty can across the room into a waste basket and says with a mischievous smile, "Stay here, And let you have all the fun? No way I'm gonna let that happen! Just because there's a bunch of spirits out there isn't gonna make me back out of a fight!" However it didn't take long for Kaede to think about what Kaleo just said to only realize that her strength alone may not have any effect on spirits. This would prove to be a problem to Kaede since she had no way of fighting an actual spirit and realized not being useful would make her a liability. After some quick thinking Kaede asks Kaleo, "...Actually, I just realized I have nothing to fight spirits with. You got anything I can borrow?" she says hoping that she wouldn't have to stay in the office.

"This is...well." Izzack muttered to himself. This certainly was turning out to be a rather hectic night, wasn't it? Still, there was work to be done, to be sure, and he had his part to play. "I may be able to help you find this rift between planes. After all, the nature of what I am causes me to be...sensitive to such things." he offered. What a weak suggestion. "Hey maybe I could help possibly"? Izzack silently scolded himself over how pathetic that sounded.
Still, he had to keep moving forward. In this case, literally. "I-I'll tell you if I feel anything weird." he said as he began to walk deeper into the city. "Weird" was going to end up being a massive understatement. Everything had felt obscenely weird since he had left his house. With these many spirits activating the weird magical senses in his head, he only hoped that whatever rift there was somehow stood out against all of the supernatural white noise.
