A wakeup call

The past 24 hours for Kaede had happened so fast. She was trying to recollect her thoughts on what had happened. The last thing she could remember was landing face flat on a sidewalk made of concrete, though it wasn't a simple accident of tripping over an object on the ground but so much that she fell a few feet from where she was. 5 feet? 10 feet maybe? The fact didn't matter to her how far she fell, but where she is now. From where she is laying it sure felt softer than the sidewalk and it was too quiet. Despite the fact of having a splitting headache, Kaede decided she would have to get up to find out.

Doctor Willow was looking over the paper work of the Jane doe that that had been brought in today. She had no injuries though she had been found by a woman named Kaleo passed out on the sidewalk. There was no info on who she was or where she had come from. With a sigh The doctor made her way to the room the young woman had been placed in. Doctor Willow opened the door only to see the young woman was now awake and seemingly trying to leave the room. " I would advise not leaving just yet Ma'am.. I would like to check you over first to make sure you are alright." Doctor Willow said as she held her clipboard. " I would also like to know your name as well please." Doctor Willow asked and readied her pen so to wright down the young woman's name.


Mean while The woman who had found Kaede was making her way back to the room, it had not been chance she had found the girl. Kaleo had been brought to her by a deceased friend of the girl. Now Kaleo was staying just to make sure she was alight before leaving back to her office. When coming to the room she blinked when she saw the doctor standing at the door. She walked closer and peered into the room to see the young girl standing and awake. relief flooded through Kaleo it was good to see she was ok. Though for now stayed silent to see what the girl was going to say in reply to the doctor.

Kaede was just about ready to leave the bed she was laying in until the woman enter the room. " The name is Kaede Kawasaki. Where am I and how long have I been out for? " Kaede Responds as she waits for the woman's answer. Kaede was trying to rush the conversation so she could leave within the minute until she realize there was a problem... she didn't have her belongings on her and was wearing a hospital gown. Starting to feel uncomfortable with the situation she was in she asks in a irritable voice " More importantly where's my stuff??? You didn't just throw it away did you??? " while looking around her surroundings within the hospital room and seeing that her belongings were no where in sight.

Doctor Willow noticed the girl was antsy.. But that was to be expected. When she asked about her belongings. Doctor Willow nodded to a box that was placed on a chair in the room. " You will find all the things you had on your person in that box on the chair, for how long you where passed out a few days at least." Doctor Willow said as she wrote things down on her paper work. " I think it would be best if you stayed for another day or so I can make sure you are fully well.. But I cannot stop you of you wish to leave ether. Oh and the woman behind me was the one who found and brought you here." Doctor Willow said as she then stepped to the side so Kaede could see Kaleo.


Kaleo took a step forward and bowed in greeting with a warm smile, "Hello Dear My name is Kaleo I am glad you seem to be feeling better." She said as she looked at Kaede her heart just going out to the girl. Kaleo did not know everything that had happened just that the girl had come through some sort of portal, and know it seemed like she was all alone.. If Kaede would allow it Kaleo would be all to happy to help her out no one should face the world alone after all.

" Thanks but I think I'll be fine and I can't really afford to stay here, I've got some important matters to take care of. Only thing I'm really gonna need is some asprin. " Kaede said while getting up from the bed and rubbing her forehead, the headache she had was still bugging her. She then looks to Kaleo and says,  " Thanks for helping me out, but do you mind telling me how and where you found me? " While she waited for a response from Kaleo, she decided to go through the box of her belongings to see if she had everything there. "(Let's see...everything should be in here...)" she thought to herself as she went through the box, in it she found her clothes which consisted of some dark green cargo pants that were a bit baggy looking and a grey T-shirt, her worn out jacket which she had since middle school and used to be her dad's old jacket, the utility belt she wore on her pants which came in handy for holding some equipment when needed, the combat boots she usually wore but they were just any old biker shoes, her wallet which had her I.D. in it, a bank card, a few pocket photos, and had only enough yen to buy something out of a vending machine. "(Well seems like everything is-wait...)" She took a moment to look through everything, to realize she was missing something. "(No... I couldn't have...did I?)" She then had a bit of a concerned look on her face and realized that the item that gave her ice powers was not in the box, or anywhere in sight.

Kaleo watched the young teen and noticed she started to panic when it seemed she was missing something. Kaleo had been sure she picked everything up when she found her.. Did she miss something? The thought of that made her heart sink but there was nothing she could do about it now. When she asked where she had found her Kaleo paused as if thinking before answering. "Well, I had just come around a corner and saw you passed out on the sidewalk and a few things scattered around you. I tried to wake you but you where not responsive, so I called a ambulance and picked up your things. And made sure to give your things to the hospital staff and I have been visiting the last few days just to make sure you where alright. " Kaleo replied.


Doctor Willow mean while said nothing as she stood there and just observed.

When Kaede heard Kaleo say something about a sidewalk, it suddenly brought back what had happened to her prior to being knocked out the item she needed for her powers wasn't missing, it was taken from her just moments. With that memory now reminding her what had happened she now knew she had everything, she just needed to find that mysterious stranger that took the item that gave her ice powers. With that she turned to Kaleo and said "I see, well thanks again for your help. I didn't think I'd be out for that long." After saying that Kaede got back into her regular clothes so she could leave the hospital. While the memory was fresh in her head she also remembered her cat companion and what happened to him. She did remember that he told her to go find someone who could help her with her powers and that's where she would have to start.

Kaleo watched the girl as she got ready to leave. Kaleo had no idea what was going on but... Their was no way Kaleo could just let this young lady go off on her own like this. She felt a sense of responsibility. She found Kaede after all so it would be the right thing to do to watch over her a bit longer. Also the fact she had been asking how she was found and the items she had with her. "Kaede dear, if you wish to leave then you are free to do so. But I ask let me come with you. I can even take you to the place I found you." Kaleo offered with a gentle warm smile. She can't stop Kaede from leaving but she could go with her.

Kaede wasn't sure what to think of Kaleo, but she was the one who helped her and she had no other lead or idea what to do afterward and says "Well...Alright. I guess it's the least I can do for now." After she leaves the room with Kaleo, she obtains some aspirin and immediately takes it so the headache she had would stop bugging her. While she followed Kaleo she kept trying to remember anything else that happened before she passed out and just trying to remember if she had dropped the item that gave her powers. The problem was that everything had happened so fast, she was having a hard time trying to remember every detail. At this point there was not much she could do but just wait until Kaleo brought her to the place she was last found. Soon after she wasn't sure where she was, besides waking up in a hospital after going through a portal. She then ask a question to Kaleo, "Soooo...just, refresh my mind real quick here, Uhh...where are we exactly?"

" Well you are in Aster City, a city meant for humans and non humans to live together in peace. Though like all city's it does have its fare share of problems.. Like more recently a group called the templars have started trouble here.. So please be careful of them." Kaleo says as she walks with Kaede. After walking a bit two of them came to the spot Kaleo first saw Kaede. " This is where I found you Kaede. I don't know how you got here and you where already passed out." Kaleo saud explaining everything she has seen.
