[ Aegis Wing outfit | Casual outfit ]
Name: Sierra Romero
Gender: Female
Age: 21
Race: Faunian (Angora Rabbit) ((Species explained in history section))
Date of birth: October 4th, 199X (Libra)
Quote: N/A
Home: Aegis Wing (Aster City branch)
Alliance: Aegis Wing (Neutral)
Family: Two parents ((Unnamed, not developed))
Friends: Izzack
Rivals: ?
Enemies: Criminals wanted by Aegis Wing
Likes: Eating flowers, rolling around in the grass, making friends
Dislikes: Dogs, meat, motorcycles, stinky smells (especially garbage)
Relationships: She considers her Aegis Wing superior, "Cappytain" Chris Engle, her father away from home. She's also taken a shine to Izzack, in spite of his spooky appearance.
Personality:
An energetic, tomboyish rabbit Faunian, Sierra’s generally friendly and more than willing to fight or get her hands dirty if she needs to. She tends to be frugal and enjoys simple things. However, sometimes she comes off as... not too bright. Although she grew up around people, she can be a little dense about human culture and behavior. This can lead to her being a bit clueless and blunt, but she means no harm by it. She’s playful and enjoys making herself laugh, so she tends to treat things like a game to keep herself amused. Despite this, she manages to focus and keep her shenanigans to a minimum if thrust into a life threatening situation.
Powers:
Hand-to-Hand combat:
If forced to fight, she usually fights unarmed, as she has no interest in killing. Although most of her power is in her legs, she’ll most likely use a hit-and-run style in the likely event that her opponent is armed. In safer situations, such as if her foe is unarmed and/or weaker, she’ll to grapple with them in attempt at incapacitating them. She’ll also use stronger moves under the cover of sneak attacks.
Leg strength:
A trait of the rabbit Faunian is naturally stronger leg muscles. This allows Sierra to run longer and jump higher. She can also kick about as hard as a professionally trained striker if she manages to put any effort into it.
Animal instincts:
Faunians are gifted with either a pair of animal ears, an animal tail, both, or neither. On average, a Faunian possessing both traits is usually more in tune with their species’ natural instincts. As a rabbit Faunian with both ears and a tail, Sierra has an excellent sense of hearing and smell. However, this also means she can’t stand strong scents - particularly the smell of garbage, alcohol, or extra strength cleaning agents like bleach. She also dislikes loud places; while accustomed to places like the city, this usually means places of concentrated sound, like a loud music concert or a busy airfield. Her ears are also a natural means of helping her keep cooler in hot weather.
Sierra also tends to rely on these senses for identifying other people - primarily by scent, secondarily by voice. However, because of this, she usually has trouble recognizing someone by face until she’s known them long enough; otherwise, she'll use a person's scent and voice to identify them. She most likely will not be fooled if someone tries to disguise their physical appearance, so long as they neglect to cover their scent. The same applies to a disguised person's voice if they don't heavily modify it in some way.
Possessing the full range of all rabbit traits also means she’s more likely to fall to a fight or flight response when confronted with danger, as seen in Dead in his Tracks. While this simply jacks up her adrenaline in the heat of the moment, her first reaction will be to run away far and fast, as she really has no way to truly defend herself against weapons or stronger foes.
History:
The Faunians are an indigenous group of animal people located on an unknown, unmarked island of mysterious origin, believed to be in the Pacific Ocean. Their origin myth claims that a magical bird fled across the sea to find safety from humans. The bird settled on an uninhabited island where it honed its magic. Powerful enough to take a human form, it eventually grew lonely and used its magic to grant the same form to some of the local fauna. From there, it taught the newborn animal people all it knew, resulting in the society it has today. This is how all Faunians explain how they received their traits - they strongly believe that they were truly descended from animals. As a result, their society is very close to nature and the beasts they represent.
At least 25 years ago, there was a nasty civil war that plagued the island. A split faction of wolf Faunians felt a sense of predatory supremacy, attacking the other peoples. During this time, many Faunians fled the island and headed towards the mainlands. Sierra’s parents were among the refugees. While they knew little about the world outside of the island, they preferred to raise their child among humans instead raising her among their own kind in the middle of war.
Because of this, Sierra was raised peacefully and lived a normal life. Though her parents didn’t have much, they did their best to provide her with the things she wanted. Once an adult, she resolved to return the favor to them and left home to find a job. Wanting adventure, or at least wanting to do good, she joined the Aster City branch of Aegis Wing, an organization dedicated tracking down and hunting criminals. Stopping bad guys and getting paid for it sounded good... Nevermind the fact that she didn’t know the first thing about bounty hunting.
Eager to take on most jobs, she’s ended up "living" at the Aegis Wing office. She usually makes her bed on the couch of the break room, much to the captain’s dismay. She’s at least made herself more useful lately by restocking snacks and refreshments in the lounge...
Anything else:
Faunians are varying level of animal and human. The more animal traits a Faunian has, the closer their physical skills are to their animal equivalent. However, this applies with diet as well. While humans are omnivores, rabbits are herbivores. As such, rabbit Faunians are more inclined to eating vegetables, especially as children. While they can consume meat and dairy, it must be slowly introduced into their diet at a young age. This way, they can consume it later in life with little problem, unlike actual rabbits. While Sierra herself has eaten a bit of meat before, she hasn’t had the sufficient amount for her body to adjust to and digest properly, so she’ll most likely get sick if she unknowingly eats too much meat.
