Name: Minna Clover
Alias: Lucky Clover
Gender: Female
Age: 29
Race: Human
Home: Aster City
Alignment: Neutral Good
Friends: Reiji Suzuki, David Valentine, Riki Ohara
Rivals: N/A
Enemies: Templars
Likes: Romance stories, some reality TV
Dislikes: Horror movies
Job: English/Literature teacher at Aster High School
Relationship: She's on good terms with her coworkers and close friends with Reiji Suzuki, though she's too embarrassed to confess her feelings to him. She's waiting for him to realize he likes her, though this wait is in vain.
Personality: Minna is a kind and understanding woman with a passion for education. She's incredibly sociable and energetic. Sometimes she can be competitive to a mischievous degree, but otherwise she's easy to approach for help. Her eagerness occasionally gets the better of her, causing her to accidentally overlook details - usually to a comical effect. She admittedly has a weakness for romance, either growing wistful, flustered or reverting to a giddy school girl whenever the topic arises. While Minna embraces it, she's a little embarrassed by it at times, because it clearly stems from her inability to confess her own feelings to a certain co-worker...
Powers:
Magical Girl Form: Lucky Clover
As the magical girl known as Lucky Clover, Minna gains magical weaponry and natural enhancements to help make her a competent fighter in battle. Though she can fight up close, most of her abilities are ranged and magic based.
Lucky Break - A slow but powerful energy attack that manifests as a large glowing green beam. It's easy to dodge and is mostly meant to break through physical obstacles, barriers, or a foe's defenses.
Lucky Streak - An attack that manifests as a ribbon of green energy. Minna's main method of attack, she can strike with it like a whip, though she can also control it as a lasso or prehensile rope.
Lucky Cleaver - Minna's magical energy manifests into the shape of a large sword. Though it can function as a normal sword, its magical properties are meant for it to take down a series of dark, evil wispy creatures. It's often used for her finishing strike.
Weaknesses:
Minna hasn't used her magical girl transformation as much as she did a decade ago, so she's rather out of practice using it to fight. She's most often in her civilian form, and as such has the vulnerabilities of a normal human.
History:
Raised with a normal, loving upbringing, Minna's life was ordinary until sometime after entering high school. It was one particular year where her math class was terrified of the newly hired teacher, Mr. Reiji Suzuki. He was a cold, strict man who seemed to care little about actually teaching his students. Minna was the only one brave enough to confront him about it, only to find out... he meant no malice at all. As it turned out, while he was intelligent, he simply didn't realize his teaching method was too difficult for high school students to understand. Amused and relieved that her teacher was just comically clueless, Minna offered to help him adjust his lesson plans. Shortly after he retaught the material to her, Reiji applied his new methods to his normal lessons. Minna's class was surprised by the sudden change, while Minna herself found a growing fondness for Reiji. She would continue to give him feedback and the two would go on to become good friends.
The last thing Minna expected was to become a magical girl. One day approached by a small cat-like creature begging for help, she hadn't much time to react before she suddenly had new powers thrust upon her. Reluctantly conscripted into some sort of fight against an evil she didn't understand, Minna nonetheless took up the burden of her newfound responsibility. However, it was difficult for her to adjust; moonlighting as a hero very quickly fatigued her. Even the normally stoic Reiji began to voice his concerns about her health, but Minna insisted she was fine.
It wasn't long after that that Minna suddenly had a stranger called Nocturne helping her fight the magical evil she was tasked with destroying. While his methods were more... unconventionally direct, Minna didn't want to question it; she'd take the assistance over reason any day. Nocturne had even saved her a handful of times, leading Minna to develop her own suspicions about (and feelings for) him... She was sure it was Reiji himself. In the end however, she had no proof if this was true and would never learn his true identity. Once the threat was defeated for good, Nocturne quietly disappeared.
With things finally back to normal, Minna returned to her life and studies (though Nocturne's identity would still nag at her for years). She would go onto graduate and struggle with figuring out her future. Halfway through college, it was through tutoring others that she realized she wanted to be a teacher. So, one degree and several workshops later, Minna found herself returning to Aster City to teach literature at her old high school. She was half surprised to learn that Reiji was still teaching! While she was glad to see her old teacher now as a co-worker, Minna now finds herself struggling with some very strong feelings bubbling up again...
Anything else:
- Minna still wears her magical girl transformation trinket as a clover charm on a bracelet.
- Her eyes are blue, but they turn green under her transformation.
- She regrets not being able to act during the Templar attack on the school, lamenting the fact that she could've used her transformation but ultimately panicked.
- Minna's "Lucky Clover" transformation from her high school years:
