A day at the park ( Fox)

It was a sunny warm day, the breeze was gentle and the clouds where white and fluffy moving along as the wind pushed them. The sounds of laughter could be heard as kids and adults happily enjoyed their time at the park with family and friends. Taylor a boy who's life suddenly changed was sitting on a bench starring up at the sky. He often wondered why his life had ended like this.. Him on a hero team thanks to some crazy Knights who wanted to slay a dragon and had tracked her to his school. If it where not for Sarah's quick thinking a lot more people could have died that day. Though at the cost of everyone finding out she was Ice Queen. Everyone knew he had powers so it was not that big of a deal. But know everyone saw him as a hero.. Hmm Hero.. Could he even be able to fit into the meaning of that word? Most likely not.. He would most likely just be support while those with true skills did all the work.

Like Eric, Sarah, Fox and the other Guardians. They where far better hero's then he could ever hope to be. But he took a stand and now was a hero and a target. He had just wanted to hide away in the base but Sarah talked him out of it. Saying they would win if they stayed hidden out of fear. Go out and live life no matter what happens. Taylor then sighed as he lowered his gaze and watched as the family's played. Taylor gave a small smile as he thought of the times he came out here with his little sister. Though due to what has been happening he has not brought her out to play. Mostly in fear if he where to be attacked she could get hurt. Taylor then stood up and started to randomly walk around with his hands in his coat pocket.


Fox

Fox on the other hand was having no trouble going out and having fun.  The kitsune had his illusion spell in place as he usually did in public, making him look like a normal human child.  He found the park to be really nice, always full of happy people and lots of plants that weren't found around the rest of the city.  It was about the perfect place for him to unwind.  Unfortunately he needed to keep a low profile with the recent arrival of the Dragon Slayers in the city, as despite their name they would slay him just as quickly as any dragon if they found him... or at least try to.

Fox wished he had someone to spend this nice day with, and then his wish was granted as he spotted Taylor walking by himself.  The disguised kitsune trotted up to Taylor, picking the boy's pockets without being noticed before running in front of him.  He waved at Taylor, holding up the boy's wallet for him to easily see.

"Let's play tag!  Come on and chase me!"  Fox said with a laugh, continuing to wave Taylor's wallet around.

Taylor sighed as he walked around, not much in the mood for playing. Perhaps he should just head back to the base, just as he was about to leave is when a seemingly random kid ran in front of him asking to play tag and... Waving his wallet around??? A surge of anger came to Taylor and he glared at the kid at first, but then that voice... He knew it, and it belonged to Fox. Taylor then gave a weak smile, Fox always seemed to be cheerful. And now that he thought of it he could use some fun. "Alight! Get back here!" He said as he started to chase the prankster.

"Ha ha ha!"  Fox laughed as he took off in a run away from Taylor, keeping the wallet for the time being.  The disguised kitsune ran across the well kept grass of the park and around the edge of the fountain nearby.  Fox glanced over his shoulder every few seconds to make sure Taylor was still chasing him, glad that his friend was willing to play with him.  He knew they could make this even more fun though, so Fox called out again to Taylor.

"If you can't catch me then you have to treat me to some ice-cream!  Maybe lunch too!"  He called out cheerfully as he waved the wallet once more.  Such a little bet might not have seemed like much to most people, but anyone that knew Fox's appetite knew that paying for lunch was basically kissing your money goodbye unless you took him to an all you can eat buffet.

Pay for his meal?? Hahaha yeah no Taylor did not have that much money and what he did have he did not wanna spend it on a meal for Fox. Even if they where good friends. Taylor chased after the little fox as fast as he could. All his years from out running bullies was so paying off. As he did not want to use his powers to try and catch Fox, because he feared that would bring unwanted attention. It took a bit but Taylor was able to get close enough to jump and tackle the little guy. He rolled a little with him before coming to a stop. And wrestled to get his wallet back. Laughing Taylor say up putting his wallet away shaking his head. " How about just ice cream? I can afford that." Taylor said with a smile.

"You're getting quicker!"  Fox declared as he was tackled to the grassy ground, rolling a bit with Taylor until the boy ended up on top of Fox.  Even in his magical disguise there was no mistaking the happiness in the kitsune.  It just felt good to be outside and playing with one of his friends!  Sure he hadn't been going at top speed himself, but he hadn't been slacking either.  Taylor really was improving, and hopefully Taylor would get a much needed confidence boost from this little victory.

As Taylor put his wallet back away Fox simply grinned up at him.

"Yay!  Icecream!"  The kitsune cried out happily, always ecstatic to get to have some food... especially sweets.

Taylor laughed a little when Fox said he was getting faster. Well he kinda had to now that he had the title of a hero and bad guys to run from. Though granted he had gotten lots of practice from out running school bullies. Thankfully they don't bug him as much as they used to," Well I have been getting lots of practice lately that's for sure."He said as he rubbed the back of his neck. Taylor eyes scanned over the park looking for ice-cream venders. On a nice day like this there where bound to be a few. Soon he spotted one and started to head over. When they got there Taylor asked Fox what he would like and then asked the vendor for it and then asked for what he wanted. The Vendor then happily handed over the ice creams. Taylor then paid and started to walk away licking his ice cream that was strawberry flavored. " Things have been pretty quiet.. Well besides the normal thief and thug stuff" Taylor said, as the Slayers have not done anything for while after a group of them where killed by some mysterious foe that had yet to be named.
