Name: Sean MacGowan
Age: 30s
Race: Irish
Powers: Sean is a man who's good at reading a room. He's good at figuring out the best way of dealing with a social situation. He's charismatic, and he's not one to get into a fight if he doesn't have to. If forced to, however, he can hold his own against most normal humans.
Sean's main drawback is his personal history, and the fact that his charisma is only really effective against those that don't know him well. Most people who know him past surface level tend to trust him much less, if at all.
Home: Aster City
Alignment: Neutral Good, but forced into a more evil role
Relationship: He is close with Jade, who he views as something of a daughter to him.
Job: Sean works underneath Johnathan O'Connor as one of his most highest ranked men
Appearance: Sean is a stout man, with a barrel chest and large arms. He has orange hair that he tends to hide under a flatcap, and he keeps his face clean shaven. He tends to wear simple, workman's clothing. Good and durable, nothing flashy.
Personality: Sean is a man of two faces. The face he shows the world is friendly, gregarious, and rather stereotypically Irish. He talks in a deep accent, and really lays on the diplomacy with almost everyone he meets. He's nice, gentle, and always seems to want to find a way to avoid fighting even the most belligerent of folks
The other face of Sean is shown very rarely, even to those he trusts. the first notable difference is his accent disappears almost entirely. This side is serious, quiet, and is laser focused on getting what he wants done accomplished. This is not to say he is crueler, or otherwise less caring of others in this state. Simply put, when Sean is like this, chances are it is because he has to do something he may not want to do, or is dead set on convincing someone to do something he needs done.
Overall, Sean is a man who tries to do what he sees as right, and fights as much as he can against the terrible things he is forced to do at times. He is bitterly loyal to John despite his cruel demands, but he can be convinced to turn against his master sometimes, if he is pushed too hard to do something morally bankrupt.
History: Sean was born in Ireland, a member of a large, happy family. When he was still relatively young, they moved to Aster City to begin a new life in the bustling city, as opposed to quiet country life. The children of the family certainly felt a strong sense of upheaval, and struggled somewhat to adapt to life not only in another country, but in a setting more cruel than they were used to. Sean desperately tries to ignore, if not forget many of these childhood years, but a tragedy that struck his family left its scars on him forever. he spent most of his young adult life in a downward spiral of alcohol, drugs, and slow, but steady ostracization from his family, to the point where they refuse to talk to him, and don't even know properly where he is, or if he's even still alive.
This all culminated in Sean being arrested for what would be charged as a felony. This is when John found him, and offered him help, both with his trial, and with his life. Sean accepted, viewing the latter as payment for the former, and began the road to recovery. He followed John faithfully after that point, viewing him as the man who had saved his miserable life.
Over time, however, Sean noticed John began to change. The things Sean was ordered to do slowly became more cruel, and John seemed to slowly become more distant, and cold. What started as a loyalty to a man who saved his life, became loyalty to a man who had ridden his soul with the guilt of thousands of horrible actions. Though he has rebelled slightly here and there, for the most part, Sean is shackled to John, a fact which has cost him a normal life several times over.
Anything else: not at this point
