Amanda laid in bed drooling on her pillow when her alarm went off and she sleepily tries to hit it with her hand but misses as she groans while squeezing her sleepy eyes shut as it keeps ringing then annoyed she thinks about tossing it and then suddenly the darn thing gets flung against the wall and crashes on the floor, causing it smash into pieces. Well that crashing noise woke her up as she quickly sat up in a panic
"AH! I'M AWAKE!" she nearly yelled with a yelp but once coming to her senses she sees she accidentally smashed yet another alarm clock aww...not again.. she muttered as she remembered doing the same thing at her last foster home at a different city..they didn't much appreciate that either but then she'd hear a woman's voice down stairs "Amanda! your going to be late and what was that crashing sound?! This made Amanda tense up and she quickly yells back
"UH IT WAS NOTHING! IT WAS JUST THE ALARM..I KNOCKED IT DOWN BY ACCIDENT!" she'd then sigh as she quickly gets dressed and, brushed out her messy bedhead and got her backpack on before running down the stairs and grabs her lunch box before dashing out the door while her foster mom says "have a fun at- she then gets cut off when the door slams shut and she just sighs "school.."
Once outside she starts making a mad dash for the school, clearly determined not to be late this time and she doesn't seem to care who she passes by at this moment..she just wants to get this day in school over with like always

It was another normal morning for Taylor, his parents had cooked up breakfast for him and his little sisters. They all chatted and laughed as they ate then said goodbye when they had to do go to school. Taylor flew to school however as it was really the only way to avoid bullies who may try and jump him. Getting there in little to no time at all Taylor landed on school grounds and walked inside and headed to his first first period class. He sat in the front row as it was the best way to keep anyone from picking on him during class. He then took out a book to read as he waited for class to start.

Unfortunately for Amanda she can't fly but as she was running she looked up and noticed a kid was flying, her eyes widened at this seemingly impossible feet but quickly realized he may have powers as well? this made her puff her cheeks a little bit why couldn't I get that ability too.. she pondered to herself as she decided to pick up the speed in a desperate attempt to get there on time "I'm gonna make it, I'm gonna make it.." she whispered silently.
However by the time she made it to the school grounds she heard the bell ring and her eyes widen and hangs her head and defeat "I didn't make it...perhaps..the teacher won't notice.." she whispered to herself as she ran to her first class as fast as she could and slowly opened the door to peek inside to see if the teacher was already there before silently trying to sneak in on her tippy toes but it didn't help when a random student pointed "hahaha!! little red head is late!!" he bellowed with a grin.
This makes Amanda flinch and slouch down but doesn't say much of anything as she walks to the back row behind everyone though she does take notice the boy who flew in the sky earlier. She glances at him as if wanting to speak to him but after what that kid did she only felt herself deflating so she just sits at her desk and shrinks in her seat and the boy just grins at her "ha, that little girl is so pathetic..see you after school, kid" the boy said with a smirk but only gets annoyed when she seems to ignore him but he decides to not say anything else..for now...

When the teacher started the class Taylor took out his notebook and started to take notes, a little bit later a boy spoke loudly that someone had come in late. Taylor looked to see a red headed girl he had never seen before looking rather embarrassed. Taylor shot the guy who was calling her out a look when it sounded like he was gonna pick on her later. Now Taylor was willing to take a beating from bullies or be picked on.. But he was not gonna stand by while it happened to someone else. Seeing as they where in class however he could not say anything.. But.. Taylor summoned a small breeze that went over to the bully as a small warning.

the bully wasn't expecting a sudden gust of wind that thankfully didn't blow him out of his desk but as for his papers he had out? well they went flying all over the floor "SON OF--! " he started but stopped when he realized that kind of talking would of gotten himself in trouble and then he shoots a glare at Taylor since everyone knows of his powers but doesn't say anything either as he scrambles to pick up his papers.
As for Amanda she saw the whole thing happen and only just blinks where did..that come from.. she thought as she looks at the windows..they are closed so it couldn't have come from outside but then she notices the bully glared daggers at the boy across from him then blinks when she realized he did that! he has powers over wind! her eyes started to widen with a little amazment, now she really did want to talk to him..so using her own powers she makes the boy's pencil float up simply by thinking it and has it write the words "thank you" on Taylor's paper.
That's all the courage she had at the moment and she even manages to smile a little, no one has ever stood up for her before..so this was a refreshing moment..now if oly she wasn't so darn shy but..at least she made some progress just now. Though realizing she hasn't gotten her stuff out yet she quickly opens her backpack up and gets out her notebook and pencil and waits for the class to start..however forgetting that every time there is a new student the teacher always has that student stand in front of class to introduce themselves to everyone

When the bully glared at him Taylor glared right back, he wanted the guy to know he was not scared. Would this be a bother however? Yes... Yes it would be. But it was worth it to help someone out. He then looked forward again just to be surprised that his pencil started to move on its own and wrote " Thank you" on his paper. He then turned to look at the girl who he had helped. But quickly looked forward again giving a small smile. So she had powers to huh.
" Ok Class before we go any further we have a new student joining us today. Amanda, please stand and introduce yourself." The teacher asked with a smile.

Being stubborn the bully kept glaring at Taylor because he wasn't about to let himself get humiliated by that gust of wind Taylor hit him with and he was too busy glaring to notice the pencil moving on it's own, however when the teacher spoke up. " Ok Class before we go any further we have a new student joining us today. Amanda, please stand and introduce yourself."The bully would then be turning his direction towards at the red head in the back who seemed to squeak a little bit when she was called upon, yep she totally forgot about this so she gulped and slowly stood up in a reluctant manner. "uh...um..uh..." Oh no she seems to be struggling speaking and this seems to stress her out even more but quickly shacking her head she tries to speak up again. "h..hi..my name is..A..Amanda..it's a..um..pleasure to meet you..all..." poor girl said that softly and the bully put his hand to his ear and spoke up "what's that? we didn't hear yyoouu!" he mocked with a grin but Amanda didn't say anything because that just made her shut up for good then she glances at Taylor for a moment and her cheeks turn red from the embarrassment so she very slowly sits down. The Bully only smirks as if he just won not that it was any real accomplishment since she didn't really put up a fight but he felt victorious nonetheless "heh, she's gonna be so fun to mess with.." he thought to himself and grinned lightly to himself..totally forgetting about her sudden bodyguard and the teacher for that matter |

Taylor looked at Amanda as she introduced herself and frowned when the bully started to make fun of her again. "I can hear her just fine, perhaps you need to see the nurse to clean the ear wax out of your ears." Taylor said as he faced forward not even looking at the bully. What was with him today? He did not normally antagonize bullies... Nah he knew, he could not stand it see someone else besides him being picked on.. So in a way he was trying to get the bully's attention on him so he would hopefully leave Amanda alone.
The teacher cleared his throat, " Ok that's enough.. Thank you Amanda." The teacher said nodding to the girl as he then started to start the lesson.

The bully was grinning like a man who had just one a epic battle until
"I can hear her just fine, perhaps you need to see the nurse to get clean the ear wax out of your ears."
"GGGRRWHAT DID YOU JUST SA--!?!?!?" he started but gets interrupted by the teacher almost imediatly
"Ok that's enough.. Thank you Amanda."
The Bully gritted his teeth and glared at Taylor again, seems like he finally succeeded he finally got this jerk's attention though Amanda is just visibly shrinking in her chair and the class felt like it was going on for hours and hours and all she could do was watch the bully glare at Taylor with that enraged look in his eyes. That look alone scared her so bad she just wanted to disappear but unfortunately that's yet another ability she does not have.
So she just did her best to follow along with the teacher despite her shaking like a leaf but once she hears the bell ring for PE she quickly gets up and quickly closes her book and shoves it into her backpack along with her pencil. If this were a anime her eyes would look very beady and completely black as she nervously attempts to scurry out of the class with short but quick steps but thankfully the bully was too focused on Taylor to think about her.
"your going to pay for that remark at PE you little punk!" he yelled, completely enraged before stomping out of the classroom and poor Amanda is just hiding around the corner as she watches him stomp on by like a sumo wrestler only without all the floppy skin and the oversized underwear they tend to wear in very match though that just made her freeze in place but it didn't matter..she had already planned to wait for her guardian angel.

Annnd there it was.. The threat of pay back... Aghh... Taylor did not give a reaction to the threat nor did he look at the bully ether. he just simply put his things back in his backpack and left the class room. He wanted to move quickly, even though the bully said he would get him in PE there was still a chance he would try in the hallways. As quickly as he could Taylor walked down the hallway that was filled with other students that where also trying to get to their next classes.

Thankfully the bully didn't stay to ambush him but when Amanda sees him rushing through the hall to get to his next class Amanda quickly followed him and actually made sure to walk next to him "u..um.." she attempted to force herself to say..something...anything! but that's all she had!? come on Amanda..don't make this awkward... she thought to herself before attempting to talk again. "u..uh..t..thank you...um...can I..walk to..t..the..gym..with you..?" finally she said it! that felt like she had to pull it out from her own teeth which..felt embarrassing to say the least "s..sorry..for the..t..trouble.." she muttered softly as she manages to walk next to him..some how..sheesh this is taking all she's got to even talk as much as she is right now.
"I..I noticed..you have...p..powers like..I do.." she muttered softly as she fidgets with her fingers a little bit. Something she clearly does when she's nervous.

A sudden soft voice made Taylor jump, he relaxed though when he saw who it was.. But his heart was still racing from the sudden shock. He came to a stop and looked at Amanda and blushed when she thanked him for his help and then asked if she could walk with him to their next class. Yeah of course she would ask that.. He too had been in similar situations and wanted to stay close to the ones who stood up for him to. Taylor gave a small smile and nodded, "Y-yeah sure. My name is Taylor by the way." Taylor replied and started to walk again however this time at a slower pace then before.

She kinda jumped at the same time he did because she wasn't expecting that kind of reaction, then again she did kinda accidentally sneak up on him without even trying. She was like this at her other school as well..so shy her presence isn't strong enough to be noticed? Yeah that helped her not to be noticed to much but at the same time it also causes her to accidentally startle people though she nearly bumped into him when he stopped. "Y-yeah sure. My name is Taylor by the way."D..did she hear that right? did he seriously give her permission to basically follow him like a lost puppy? She could feel her heart skip a beat from how happy she felt, especially when he started walking at a slower pace "n..nice to m..meet you Taylor..and uh..thank you.." she muttered softly as she walks somewhat behind him and slides her hands into her pockets. "I..I hope..I'm..not causing..too much trouble..for you.." This time even her voice sounded a bit shaky as if she's trying to force herself to talk. Perhaps to try and have at least a small conversation? she doesn't have any friends in this school and this boy did help her so I..may as well try..to make a friend.. she thought to herself though even thinking that made everything feel stiff what if..I annoy him..what if..that makes him stop hanging out with me..that thought made everything feel stiff but she decides not to say anything about it while glancing at him from time to time while looking at the other students they pass by while on the way to the gym. |

Taylor blinked when Amanda said she hoped she was not bothering him. He was unsure how to really reply to that however. So he walked in silence as he also kept a eye out or any surprise attacks but thank fully none came. As they came closer to the gym Taylor could not help but think back to the templar attack.. How he missed the school principal.. He was such a nice guy, he was like a grandfather to everyone. Taylor then pushed those thoughts away and came to a stop once they entered the gym area. " Well see ya in a bit." Taylor said with a weak smile and made his way into the boy's locker room.
The bully was sure to be in here.. He had to make this quick. He picked a locker close to the entrance and changed into his gym uniform. The boys in the locker room where talking and laughing as they got ready. The lights however started to flicker and Taylor felt a sudden chill that made a shiver go up his spine. Y...Le.....m...ie....." said a whisper of a voice. Taylor jumped and spun around but no one was near him. "What.. was... that..." Taylor said in a slightly panicked voice. He had heard somthing he was sure of it... But he could not make out what said. Taylor then locked his locker and left the locker room heading to the gym.
Mean while in the girl's locker room the lights also flickered and a cold air also passed through the room.

The awkward silence was not exactly what Amanda wasn't expecting which didn't really help her current anxiety so she too fell silent as she became scared to try and say anything else but she did notice him looking around on full alert. That must be why he didn't say anything, he must be keeping a eye out for a surprise attack or something but that just made her even more nervous and she even put her hands together and presses them against her chin.
The girl seemed to have lost track of where she was as the two walked together as everything just felt like a blur to her. This always happens when she gets too nervous and thus this causes her to bump into him a little bit when he came to a stop.
"ah!" she squeaked lightly as she gets whipped back into her senses and realizes where she is "o..oh sorr-" She started but gets interrupted
" Well see ya in a bit."
That made her shut her mouth for a moment to clear her throat before nodding faintly "r..right... she'd then go into the girl's locker room to get dressed as well.
Mean while in the boys locker room the bully is for sure in there getting dressed and when he sees Taylor he gives a glare as he watches him pick the locker closest to the door "oh..that punk is in for it now.." he muttered with a grin as he started to approach Taylor but suddenly stops when the lights flickered and the room suddenly got cold.
"w..what? something wrong with the school's heater or something? and what's with the lights...something wrong with the power?" he asked but then shakes his head lightly but then realizes he said that out loud..damn it..that messed up his elemental surprise "tch...lucky punk.." he muttered as he went back to his locker to finish getting dressed "I'll get you in the gym..mark my words.." he muttered silently with frustration as he hurries to get dressed so he might at least bump into Taylor before leaving the locker room to head to the gym.
Back at the girl's locker room though all the girls are talking and laughing all except for Amanda, poor girl picked a lonely locker in the corner of the locker room, hoping no one would notice her but as she was getting dressed the lights in the girl's locker room flickered and her eyes widened as she blinked her eyes a little bit "h...huh?" she asked as she'd then shiver at the sudden drop in temperature.
"w..what's going on...?" she asked silently and suddenly she felt like something was very wrong..but what? there isn't anything here but the girls, perhaps she's just being paranoid right? that's not out of the norm for her. However that tinge of fear was short lived as she shook it off the best she could "everything's..okay..Amanda.. She reassured herself then taking a deep breath and exhaling she finishes getting dressed and starts making her way out of the girl's locker room, hoping nothing creepy happens again
