Relationship:
Venus thrives on her fan following, appealing to them as a means of gaining money and gifts. She seems to have gained an interest in Ammo Clan's leader and has decided that he's the next thing on her wishlist...
Personality:
Venus is undeniably vain with a love for attention. A confident woman, she won't hesitate to use her inherent charms to sway others in her favor. She normally comes across as sweet and cordial, though there's definitely a sense of performance in her mannerisms. This is partly true; she half plays it up to make herself appealing, using what she learned as a celebrity idol to hopefully bring more followers to her side. She's more than willing to use her fan connections to get what she wants; denying something from her only angers her and forces her to double down. If desperate, she'll absolutely make herself look like the victim and whip her followers into a defensive frenzy.
Powers:
Cult of Love
Venus is empowered by the amount of people who love her. It doesn't matter what sort of love it is; so long as people feel love towards her, it makes her stronger. This grows with the amount of people who adore her, so Venus is always trying to cultivate a following of fans. This is helped by her former status as a celebrity, giving her an established platform and experience needed to appeal to people's hearts. She's much stronger if she's physically close to people who love her. It seems that romantic love and attraction empowers her more than platonic love and adoration. Love empowerment also seems to make her more durable in a fight.
Dance Combat
As a performer, Venus specialized in dancing. She has excellent agility and a special grace to her movements, making it easy to dodge and weave around reactable attacks. Her elegant movements can also be mesmerizing and sometimes momentarily distract her foe. Sometimes her dancing is used to build up momentum to put more power into an attack, though this can come at the cost of making it easy to read. This is usually remedied with her love empowerment making it easier to resort to shorter dance moves without fear of sacrificing power. She can also attack normally, but it's clear her techniques are adapted from dance.
Weaknesses
If she loses her following or declines in popularity, her power will do the same. She also loses some power if she has no fans physically around. Even if her love empowerment makes her more durable, she's still vulnerable to guns and other weaponry. Her dance combat can also sort of telegraph what sort of attack she'll do.
History:
A small name celebrity who used to be contracted under Kirin Canyon, Venus was an idol meant to appeal to the masses. Her singing voice was average, but her talent lied mostly in dancing. Her movements were captivating and promised her a good future in the industry, but this was cut short when she was caught in a scandal. Thought to involve at least two other men combined with murmurs of cheating, it was later found to be blown out of proportion, but the damage had been done. With her reputation ruined and her own relationship in pieces, Venus was dropped from Kirin Canyon's contract.
Venus was a rising star who performed well under the pressures of fame. Without it, she found herself suffering from the withdrawal of no longer having thousands of adoring fans. Combined with her broken heart, the stress and trauma of it all was enough to awaken her own latent power: the ability to gain power from the amount of people who loved you. It only became noticeable once she started making video logs for her leftover fans. She'd accidentally break things during or after streams - things that had no business being so easily broken. Though she publicly chalked it up as adorable clumsiness, Venus was eventually able to piece together the true nature of her power.
Once she started to worry financially, Venus realized the potential of that power. Though she began to recultivate her small, leftover following online to help fund her bills, she also took to enamoring people in person; specifically, girls. She wasn't quite ready to interact with men again in person just yet, but Venus absolutely knew how to appeal to girls and get them on her side.
In almost no time, Venus had created her own physical following filled with loyal, adoring fans who'd do almost anything for her; even crime. So, the cycle began: Whatever Venus needed, her fans would acquire it by almost any means necessary. They would spoil her and be jailed for it, but in return she would pay their bail with the funds from her online male following. It was perfect; Venus had her gang, she got whatever she wanted and she got to circumvent crime! It may not have been thousands of fans, but that last bit was definitely more exciting than a live show could ever be.
Now that time has passed and her heart has healed, Venus is currently on the search for a man worth her time. Her current operation is fine, but she wonders: how much stronger could she become with a romantic partner in her life?
