[ Casual Outfit | Police Uniform ]
Name: Millie Summers
Gender: Female
Age: 25
Race: Human
Date of birth: 199X
Quote: "Stop right there!"
Home: Aster City
Alliance: Aster City Police Department (Chaotic Good trying very hard to be Lawful Good)
Family: N/A
Friends: Roulette, Cassandra Prairie, Manny Reynolds, Richard Reagan(?)
Rivals: N/A
Enemies: Criminals
Likes: Dogs, teachers, action movies, Tom Selleck, blogging
Dislikes: Law breakers, crime, Marvin Davis
Relationships: She was raised by a single dad that she loves very much. She currently lives with her roommate Roulette and the two generally get along, though Roulette often subjects Millie to a lot of playful teasing. She's also a police officer in training under Lieutenant Richard Reagan, who mercilessly reprimands her for her constant, repeated mistakes. She dislikes his soul crushing disappointment in her, but this pushes her to work harder in hopes of one day impressing him. She was also confused by her chief, Manny Reynolds, and his apparent incompetence, but he's a lot more perceptive than he lets on.
Personality: A well meaning, energetic and excitable girl, Millie is enthusiastic in all that she does. This is especially true in her pursuit of her career as a police officer. She deeply desires to do good and dispense justice, often charging headlong into things in her eagerness to do so. She doesn't immediately think of the long term consequences however, which often causes trouble for herself and others. Her excitement and tendency to rush also makes her a bit clumsy at times, either due to going too fast or attempting to do something with little experience in the task. (This often leads to her comically embarrassing herself in some way.)
Millie, of course, takes fault whenever she messes up, no matter how many excuses she may initially come up with. She doesn't seem to easily learn from her mistakes however, and often goes back to making the same ones she's done before. Despite this, she still wants to help others in the community and hopes she can one day prove herself competent as an officer of the law.
Powers:
A normal human woman, Millie is susceptible to all sorts of attacks and effects, making her vulnerable against others with powers, magic, heavy machinery or weapons. She is best equipped to deal with other normal people.
Standard issue gun
While Millie will draw it, it's actually just for show. It has no ammunition in it because Richard simply doesn't trust her with a gun. However, she's allowed to carry one (unloaded) bullet "in case of emergency."
Standard issue handcuffs
A pair of adjustable metal handcuffs meant to restrain suspects or hostile persons. Millie has the key for them. She may or may not have accidentally cuffed herself to things in the past.
Taser
Millie's actual means of subduing someone, it launches two wires to administer a stunning shock. Surprisingly, she's not so quick to use it right away; she'll only using it after attempting to talk someone down and giving them plenty of warning.
Bullet proof vest
A standard, padded black vest meant to cushion gunfire attacks. Though it doesn't entirely provide the body with protection, it mostly covers the torso area where Millie's vital organs are. She's usually not wearing it unless assigned somewhere on guard duty or sent somewhere where she actively expects danger.
History:
An only child raised by a single father, Millie grew up to be best friends with her dad. Though very much into feminine things, her close bond with her father led her to sharing his love of action movies, crime thrillers and cop shows. She absolutely delighted in playing hero, often reenacting scenes with her father and saving the day.
One day during her younger years, Millie visited Aster City with her father. As her father received directions from a local police officer, a speeding hero flew by, capturing Millie's interest. In excited glee, she broke free from her father's grasp, giving chase down the sidewalk, though the hero was long gone by then. There was a loud shout, a gasp, a loud crash... and the next thing Millie knew... she was cradled in the police officer's arms?
As it turned out, the young girl wasn't the only person enamored with the hero. Someone in a passing car had scrambled to capture a picture of the superpowered sight, accidentally swerving onto the sidewalk in the process - right where Millie would've been. Thankfully, the nearby officer ran over and scooped her up just before impact. As her father thanked him profusely, scolding his daughter and giving thanks in between, it was in that moment that Millie knew what sort of hero she wanted to be when she grew up: a police officer.
She and her father never got a chance to properly thank that man. The car that missed Millie had kept going and crashed, so as soon as the officer put the girl down, he was quickly back on the job, assessing the scene and filing a report. While he did accept their offer to have dinner with them later, Millie's father had neglected to take down any information about him - a name, a phone number, a badge ID... nothing. Even after visiting a police station or two in hopes of finding him, the evening grew late and the pair had no choice but to return home. It was one of Millie's biggest regrets.
Millie later moved to Aster City in her young adulthood, attending high school and later undergoing police training. While she later successfully joined their police force, she unfortunately learned that they don't seem to be anything like the dutiful officer she fondly remembers. With little to no morale and an alarming amount of complacency, Millie briefly found herself discouraged by the others. Once she realizes that the superpowered and magical heroes are the cause of the precinct's attitude, Millie's grown more determined than ever and hopes to one day prove that police officers are just as worthy of admiration as any other hero.
Anything else:
- Millie loves dogs. She has one that she left at home to live with her dad.
- She became online friends with Cassandra Prairie before moving to Aster City. They may have hung out a few times.
