Mona is a bit of a loner she does not really talk to people unless she has to, she can be blunt as well and gets annoyed very easily. When annoyed she can be a bit of a smart ass and tends to be passive aggressive. However if you can get past the walls she has put up you will see Mona is a good person even though she has a hard time showing it. She is a hard worker and tries to get things done on time. When she does see you as a friend she is loyal and will help the best she can and will stand up for friends if she feels someone is treating them unfairly. Also thanks to her years in the orphanage she has learned the art of manipulation. She can skillfully talk to people into doing things or not doing things all the while making them think it was their idea, and also has some good acting skills on order to confuse people or make them back off.
History:
Mona never knew her parents, the moment she was born she was given up for adoption where for the first ten years of her life she was in a foster family. After that she was placed in a orphanage. Where she learned the art of manipulation to get things she wanted or to get the other kids to leave her alone if they tried to harass her. She never got close to the other kids and would often just be by herself. She was also more mature then the other children reading books rather then playing with toys and playing outside. Mona watched as most of the children got adopted however no one seemed to want to adopt her. That just made her feel unwanted and she closed up even more, not much would happen during her years in the orphanage, Mona mostly kept to herself. Soon came her 18th birthday seeing as she was never adopted Mona had to leave orphanage to strike out on her own. Before she left Mona was given a small metal box, when she opened it she found 1,000 dollers rolled up and a envelope inside. It was a letter from her Mother, explaining why she was put up for adoption, so she was a one night stand baby... Wonderful.. Her Mother even put down her Father's name. So most likely the man did not even know she was born... Mona could see that going well showing up with this letter and showing it to this Hal O'Connor and say she was his daughter? Yeah no thanks.. Mona just wanted to toss the letter but despite herself she kept it. Mona then left the orphanage wondering what she was going to do next.
Thanks to the money that was left by her Mother Mona was able to get into affordable housing. Mona ended up in a small studio apartment that did not have any furniture so the first thing she did was at least get a blow up bed mattress so she would not have to sleep on the floor. She then immediately started looking for a job, she had already spent most of the money Mom gave her. Mona was able to get a two part time jobs. Months later though she was barely getting buy, one day on her way home her nose caught a wiff of something good. She looked around and saw a bakery. She did not have much money but she was hungry and she did not want noodles again. So the young teen entered the bakery the smells of cakes and bread greeting her. Little old lady greeted her at the counter. Mona then ordered some bread and a doughnut. She sat down and started to eat and that is when Edna came over and started talking to her.
At first Mona did not really want to talk but something about Edna made Mona open up. After hearing Mona's story Edna's heart went out to the young girl and she offered the girl a full time job on the spot. This shocked Mona and she protested saying she did not know how to bake. But Edna said she would train her, stunned that someone was showing her such kindness for the first time in a very long time Mona cried and agreed to take the job. Mona then went home and left messages at her other two jobs saying she was quitting. She then started working at Doughy Delights Bakery, it was not easy learning how to bake but Mona was determined to make this work. Also as much as she hated it Mona had to learn to run the counter, dealing with people was one of her least favorite things.. But she held her tongue and smiled when she took orders. Over the next year or so Mona got better at baking and even became friends with two of her coworkers, Lucy Quint and Derek Abbot well more like they did would not leave her alone so she just puts up with them. ( more like she does not want to admit she likes them xD )
One night when Mona left the bakery, It had been raining most of the day so she tried to hurry home. Only to stop when she heard what sounded like a puppy crying, she followed the sound and came across a soggy box with the word free on it. Sitting there was a sole puppy shivering from the cold, when she saw Mona she perked up and started bark and whine loudly asking for help. Mona stared at the pup, knowing how it felt not to be wanted. So Mona picked the puppy up and took her home. Once home Mona was quick to start trying off the puppy, she then boiled some boneless chicken and fed it to the puppy. Soon after the puppy fell asleep next to Mona as she sat on the floor watching TV. For the next few days Mona debated rather to keep the puppy or not, though part of her had already fallen in love with the little puppers. in the end Mona kept the puppy and named her Nova. Things where normal as normal could get in Aster City for the next few years, but one day the city was shaken.. When a Group calling themselves Templar's attacked the school killing the principal, That is also when the new hero group that called themselves The Guardians appeared . It seemed after that day Aster City was never going to be the same. A month later the city would be shaken again, this time the Mayor and his wife where killed when a semi truck and now the city was left to their only son who was a half human/kitsune. Mona knew things where turning for the worse and she was worried for her half blooded friends.. But she was powerless to do anything.. All she could do is keep a eye out warn her friends if the feels they may be in danger.
