Home: Aster City
Alliance: Kirin Canyon (Neutral Good)
Family: ?
Friends: Bill Pryce
Rivals: ?
Enemies: Camber; the Fire Kingdom
Likes: Cute things, rabbits, tea, dating sims,Casey Calhoun
Dislikes: Bugs
Relationship: She cares deeply about her manager, Bill Pryce. She also once looked up to her trainer Casey Calhoun, but her feelings grew sour when he left without warning.
Personality: A normally timid and polite girl, she's often unsure of herself. Best described as a passive, oversensitive weenie, she once mentioned that she needs to be told what to do. The slightest sign of disapproval or failure also seems to hit Chiyoko rather hard. However, with encouragement and support, she manages to push aside her insecurities and find the confidence to try her best. She cries easily, especially after losing, often taking a day or two to recover. When she dons her magical girl persona, however, she finds it easier to stand up for justice and fight against foes she would normally be frightened of. This is especially more apparent after once failing to protect her manager and friend, Bill Pryce.
Powers:
Wrestling ability: High Flying Style
He strength wasn't anything impressive, so as a wrestler, she tried to make up for it with showmanship and flashy, high flying moves. She also compensated for her lack of power by using moves that utilize the force of gravity, or moves that shift physical momentum onto her opponents instead. She also sometimes tends to do over exaggerated anime fight yelling when hitting or taking moves - particularly heavy hitting ones - which carry over into her iteration as a magical girl. She also has some experience with grappling other people. These skills can be used regardless she's in her magical form or not, though she's likely resort to simple submission holds to restrain a suspect.
One of her signature moves was the Cutie Patootie, a running hip attack, which she still uses from time to time in her heroine form.
Magical Armor: Golden Heart
Given to her by the CEO of Kirin Canyon, this magical armor was developed by Heliosoft. When inactive, it normally takes the form of a small golden heart shaped locket that April wears around her neck. The transformation is triggered by her desire to protect when a threat is near. When she uses the locket to transform into Chiyoko, it grows into a full golden belt with a large heart buckle placed in the center, as well as granting her the rest of her outfit. While her dress doesn't look like it would offer much protection, it's magically enchanted to increase her durability. Her running speed and jumping ability are also increased, but mostly to help her pursue foes; she usually fights others up close, where she can't use them as well.
Magical Girl attacks: While Chiyoko still primarily relies on her wrestling ability to fight crime, she also has some abilities granted to her while a magical girl.
- Heart Beater - Chiyoko does a small, cute dance and poses, putting her hands together in the form of a heart. The heart shaped space between her hands glows pink before firing off a deep pink, heart filled light beam. It's most effective on villains or wicked people/beings. It's less effective on good people, and does neutral damage to neutral people or creatures like animals.
- Heart Breaker - Chiyoko does an aggressive dance, putting her hands together in the form of a heart before slightly pulling it apart to resemble a broken heart. The space between her hands glows a deep blue before firing off a beam filled with broken hearts. Unlike the former move, it's effectiveness is not affected by a person's morality; instead, it's powered by Chiyoko's negative feelings, like anger or helplessness. Usually used as a stronger move when a fight gets tough. There is a risk, however: her negative feelings must be channeled into a positive cause, such as feeling angry at the thought of being able to defend someone. If she constantly uses it without a noble cause to balance it out (such as being angry out of jealousy), she risks getting forced out of her magical girl form. This is because the Golden Heart armor relies on her desire to protect. (There may also be a risk of corruption; perhaps automatically ejecting her from magical girl form is the armor's way of protecting her from it.)
- Light Hearted - Chiyoko throws her hands up to form a slightly translucent energy shield of pink light. It's generally dome shaped and the size of Chiyoko, though she can widen it somewhat if attempting to protect multiple people. She can also allow the shield to let certain people in or out of her safe zone. This shield is generally immune to all attacks, but continuously attacking it can eventually shatter it. Chiyoko also has to hold her hands up to physically keep the shield in place, and thus can grow tired of holding it up. This also means she cannot retaliate against threats, as she's a close range fighter and also needs her hands to do her Heart Beater and Heart Breaker beams.
- Bleeding Heart - A very weak healing move, mostly used to help stop bleeding from wounds. Chiyoko cannot use this on herself; it only works on other people, and requires some of her own energy to use. If Chiyoko has a chance to do so, she'll use this ability to help people who've suffered injuries as a consequence of whatever villain she was fighting. This is mostly to help someone hang on or ease the pain until medical help arrives. Chiyoko doesn't use this ability much (at least not during a fight) since she's a fighter more focused on taking down a threat to prevent further harm to innocents.
Weaknesses:
Her small size and light weight makes it easier to knock her away; possibly even to the point of launching her into the air. Also, although she was known for being able to take heavy punishment when outmatched in strength as a wrestler (and still probably can), she can actually be knocked out of her magical girl form if beaten down hard enough. Her armor is also technologically enchanted to guard against most types of magic and attacks, but at the cost of the protection being less durable to said offense due to spreading the enchantment thin. Because of that, while she can initially resist elemental or magical attacks, constant use of a certain type will begin to hurt more over time in a battle.
History:
She spent her childhood rather normally as a young girl who loved video games and gymnastics. At age 11, her parents encouraged her to attend auditions held by a local talent scout of Kirin Canyon (KiriCan for short). Meant to gauge the performance skills and star potential of all who participated, April's presentation was judged as average in all areas - except her boundless enthusiasm. In the end, regardless of her lack of skill, she was recruited to the company. Like many other girls, she was trained to act as an idol singer in hopes of appealing to western audiences, but the plan was unsuccessful. April herself played a few bit parts in commercials and children's shows - and maybe a few musical covers here and there ((like Kidz Bop lmao)) - but any sort of fame was small time. Though she did acquire a few skills in both acting and minor stunt work, she withdrew from entertainment halfway into high school to focus on her school work.
After graduating from college, April sought to pay off the rest of her debt as quickly as she could. She contacted KiriCan again, hoping to take on a few small parts for a quick buck. Coincidentally, KiriCan, once again looking to break into the next untapped market, had their sights set on integrating their idol idea into the world of professional wrestling. The only problem was that no one contracted was willing to go through with it - the child actors were too young, while the older talent wasn't too keen on getting punched in the face. April was also hesitant when the offer was given to her, but... after some convincing and several conferences, KiriCan agreed to help pay off her debt if she represented them in the ring. Interested in the opportunity, April took the deal. Adapting her gymnastics and stunt work into wrestling ability, she took up the name Chiyoko Uzuki and donned the persona of a magical girl idol.
Chiyoko retained a successful undefeated streak for 2 months - winning a championship along the way - suffering only one loss before another month of domination. However, when Chiyoko's manager Bill Pryce was kidnapped and tortured by the Queen of Flames, Camber, the idol was deeply shaken - especially because Pryce was no fighter. With both Chiyoko and Pryce later forced into a match against Camber, Chiyoko was angered and horrified but vowed to protect her manager. Unfortunately, she was unable to fulfill that promise, and the match ended with Pryce hospitalized by Camber. Though Chiyoko avenged him, defeating Camber in a rematch, the idol was still shaken by her immense failure to protect her friend, relinquishing her title and leaving the wrestling industry.
Some time after recovering, the head of Kirin Canyon approached Chiyoko, apologizing for the events that transpired. Hoping to console her, she noted that Chiyoko's sorrow was proof of her caring and passionate nature. Combined with her wrestling performance going far beyond KiriCan's expectations, the CEO presented her another proposal. Claiming that Chiyoko possessed a golden heart that suffered from the failure to protect someone she cared about, the CEO suggested that she aim to grow stronger by taking up the mantle of a true magical girl. She promised to provide Chiyoko with the necessary magical gear to protect her, as well as personally fund her efforts.
While Chiyoko took some time to think about the offer, she eventually accepted it and moved to Aster City, where Kirin Canyon was located. There, she's taken a desk job in the company while secretly beginning her career in fighting crime. She also plans to seek out a certain gang leader who was once her friend...
Anything else:
- She normally wears glasses as April.
- She usually refers people she meets to as Mr. or Ms. unless they say otherwise. She referred to her manager as Mr. Pryce when he initially insisted on Bill, and Chiyoko never called him by his first name until after she failed to save him.
- She sometimes gets mistaken for being younger than she actually is, and was mistaken for a child at least one occasion. She herself has mentioned being specifically mistaken for 16.
- Her stage/magical girl name, Chiyoko Uzuki, is made up of "千代 chiyo," meaning thousand years, and "子 ko," meaning child; along with "卯 U," meaning rabbit, and "月 zuki," meaning month or moon (as tsuki). Uzuki makes an especially fun reference, as it can literally mean "rabbit month" and "moon rabbit." (Chiyoko loves rabbits, and noted magical girl Sailor Moon is based on the Moon Rabbit myth.) It's also a pun on her true name, as Uzuki is the Japanese word for the month of April, and also happens to rhyme with her true surname, Suzuki.

Relationship: Though he has professional relationship with Chiyoko's, managing her paperwork and the like, he does care for her well-being. He's on neutral terms with his mother, but estranged from his father.
Personality: An overenthusiastic agent and manager with a fondness for loud, obnoxiously patterned suits. He's highly persistent and seems to love hearing himself talk. He often jokes (such as making awful puns) and makes light of things, though this is also to brighten the mood after a dour event. This also seems to help him remain unfazed in situations, such as quickly recovering from having a knife pulled on him. He seems to dote on his client Chiyoko, doing whatever he can to keep her happy and comfortable. In spite of his fast-talking, carefree demeanor, he can speak frankly, and has done so on rare occasions when caught off guard or confronted with a personal situation.
Powers:
He is an ordinary human whose best skill is negotiation, diplomacy, and overall dealing with people. Though it usually only pertains to business matters, he's used it to help talk down more physically threatening foes before. It's not always successful, though.
History:
An energetic agent and manager, Bill's talent for negotiating seems to run in his family. With his mother a diplomat and his father a politician, he learned how to appeal to people from a young age, using this skill to earn favors and approval. However, he disliked the thankless, high pressure work of both of his parents, and opted to pursue a job in the entertainment industry at a young age. He ended up joining Kirin Canyon, a media company noted for mostly employing women. Though a bit out of place, he nevertheless served as a manager for many clients over time.
Almost a decade later, the company decided to conduct an experimental venture. Hoping to appeal to a wider audience, they sought to put one of their idol singers into professional wrestling. It was a difficult task, as most of the company's employed performers were adverse to the idea of being physically harmed. When April Suzuki volunteered for the task however, Bill overheard her lack of fear in the matter, and was even surprised that she thought the venture would be a fun experiment. Determined to prepare her for the rough road ahead, Bill requested to manage her.
Now under the name Chiyoko, she proved to be highly successful. This was in part owed to Bill's meticulous management, encouragement and friendship with her, especially when she doubted herself. He did what he could to make her comfortable, heeding her rare requests. One of these requests was for a trainer to help hone her fighting abilities. Bill ended up hiring Casey Calhoun, who had saved Bill himself on Aster City's streets from a thug.
Unfortunately, Casey was put off by Bill's behavior, which Casey perceived as shady and underhanded. When he mistook one of Bill's idle jokes as a threat, Casey's resentment of him began to build up over several months. The gang leader eventually lost his temper, cornering Bill in his hotel room while Chiyoko was out, confronting him. He accused Bill as a manipulator who saw Chiyoko only as a tool to make money, but was surprised when Bill had several counterpoints calling out Casey's own behavior. This resulted in Casey storming out and leaving his employment. Shortly after, Bill was immediately kidnapped by goons sent by Chiyoko's opponent at the time: Camber, the Queen of Flames.
Camber held Bill hostage in order to play mind games with Chiyoko, which proved to be successful. It eventually lead to a series of events that ended with Camber personally throwing Bill through a flaming table, hospitalizing him. Though Chiyoko ended up avenging her manager, defeating Camber in battle, she left wrestling to look after Bill and emotionally recover from the trauma of her failure. Bill himself gained a horrifying fear of large fires, and generally cannot stand to be around any sort of flame larger than than a stove top gas flame.
While Bill's since healed up, he's been taking it easier lately. He's relocated to Aster City and lives in the same apartment building as Chiyoko, who he still manages for Kirin Canyon.
Anything else:
- He originally wore a full rose patterned suit. The sleeves were damaged when he was held captive by Camber. When he was later freed, he got rid of them completely and converted the jacket into a vest.
