Well! That actually worked! Turns out, simple, brutish moves worked rather well again-
Oh, she got out of it.
"Oh ho h-Ach!" Daniel's mockery was cut off as the woman cut off his air supply. He flailed around for a bit, before he ran backwards into a tree, hoping to stun her. Then, he reached back towards his assailant, trying to grab her, and hopefully throw her off of him.

"Gah...!" Vivi flinched as her back scraped against the tree bark. Her clothes at least mitigated the pain, but the force of the impact still hurt. Her arms unwillingly loosened their grip from around Daniel's neck, and before she knew it, Vivi found herself held above Daniel's head. She barely had a moment to realize what was going on before she felt herself launched away from the small man. Vivi frantically waved her arms in an effort to steady herself as she briefly sailed through the air, balancing herself just enough to hit the ground rolling, spreading out the momentum and reducing the pain of the impact. She tumbled forward, landing in a sitting position. She shook her head, regaining her bearings before realizing her back was to her opponent - a big no-no in combat. Quickly, she returned to her feet, spinning around to face Daniel, trying to brace for whatever he had been doing in the time her guard was down.

As soon as Vivi was sent flying, Daniel launched himself into his next idea. What did you do when you got your opponent knocked to their butt? What did you do when you somehow managed to launch the grabby lady to the ground?
The answer was simple. So simple, it felt kind of insulting just explaining it.
Daniel charged.
Normally, this was a move he would perform with his case in hand, but sometimes you had to make do with what you had. "Heads up! Big guy comin' through!" he shouted as he barreled down at his opponent.

Vivi's eyes widened for a moment as she saw Daniel stampeding towards her. "...Hmph." Rather than moving out of the way, she planted her feet firmly on the ground, spreading them apart and bracing herself. To any onlooker, it was clear there was no way she could win against this miniature wildebeest of a man; not in a test of a strength, at least. Instead, she braced herself harder, her knees bending deeper as Daniel drew close. Then, at the last second... "Kyah!" She snarled, grabbing Daniel's arm, stepping aside and judo throwing him with the force of his own momentum.

"Woah!" Daniel yelped in surprise as he was thrown off course at the last moment. This chick had real talent! Well, he would probably have to cheat a little harder, if that was the case.
He went with the momentum of the throw, and, using his powers once more, he flew in a tight circle, coming right back around on the woman, dropping in a one legged kick right down at her. "Still here!" he shouted as he attacked.

"...Wha...?" Viveka shook her head in surprise as Daniel went literally flying from her judo throw. Was that it? Was he superpowered the entire time? Did the same go for his strength? These were the questions raced through her mind as Daniel rounded himself through the air... and it looked like he was coming back to her at full speed. How would she deal with superpowers? She winced. No, no, don't worry about that, she thought. Thinking of Daniel at being of a higher level than her would do nothing to help. This was nothing more than another aerial attack, regardless of the ability to fly. With her mindset adjusted, she readied her according counterattack, bracing herself once more. Again, as Daniel drew close, she moved.
"Kiai!" Viveka shouted in response, grappling at Daniel's leg in midair, diverting the force of his kick. Though the attack was interrupted, he still managed to topple onto her, but Vivi quickly used their grounded status to her advantage. She tangled and coiled about, wrestling with Daniel until her limbs were constricted around his in a tight hold. This had to be it: the hold that locked the weird beef gnome in place. Sure, he could try to break out of it as he did with her other holds, but... this was one of Vivi's better submission moves. And with all of the power of his that she managed to use against him, she was sure he was immobilized.

As Daniel fell to Vivi's hold, he somehow knew that this was one he wasn't getting out of. That knowledge, however, did nothing to stop him from struggling. "Hnng. Haaah! Wow! This is a hell of a grope you got goin' on here, lady! You really-ow!-wanted me close, huh? Don't worry, I'll stop fighting it." he said, relaxing for a short moment, before returning to his struggling with a renewed vigor.
Still not working. Should he go ahead and use all of his strength? Hmm...probably not. Either he would hurt the girl, or he'd get something of his broken, or far, far worse. He could look kinda dumb, and looking kinda dumb was a fate worse than death. Instead, he just went back to being still, this time to stay...maybe. He hadn't really decided yet if he would continue being tricky.
"What's your name, anyway, molester?" he asked, seemingly unconcerned by the weird, uncomfortable position he was stuck in.

Viveka's grip loosened in the moment Daniel went limp, but as soon as he began to struggle again, she tightened her hold once more. His thick physique certainly made her grapple more challenging to maintain, but she found a bit of pride in the fact that she was able to contain this tiny hulk of a man.
"What's your name, anyway, molester?"
Vivi scowled.
"It's Viveka," she snarled, angrily squeezing him in emphasis, clearly unhappy with his accusation. "And I think I've made my point." She craned her head in his direction, her voice better carrying over to his ears. "Now, when I release you, you will leave that girl alone," she spoke firmly, echoing herself from the beginning of their skirmish. She paused again. "Understand?"

Daniel let out an involuntary grunt as Vivi squeezed down again. This girl had this grapple bit down pat, didn't she? Daniel just had to learn how she did it. "Oh, I understand plenty, ol' Vivi ol' pal! No reason to get her to fight. I got someone who can fight a ton better gettin' all handsy with me at the moment! You can let go when you want, unless..." he gasped, as if uncovering a scandal, "Unless you like holding me so close? How lewd!" Either she would release, or sputter, or just wrench down on him again.
He'd accept any of those outcomes, if they came, so long as she didn't just waltz off. It wouldn't do to have to chase her down before he got at least a little somethin' somethin' from her. A name of her style, a definition of the word 'style', anything!

Ugh. Again with those perverted accusations! Well, she wouldn't give him the satisfaction of that. Viveka squeezed Daniel again, spitefully wrenching one of his arms for good measure before quickly releasing him. She scooted away from the tiny mass of man, eager to distance herself from him. She got to her feet and instead turned her back on Daniel (she deemed the fight over, after all) and approached the girl in the flower crown. "You okay?" Vivi grunted. Her tone was gruff and laced with irritation, though she meant no malice towards the girl.
"U-uh... Y-Yeah..." She nodded, clearly terrified. Vivi frowned.
"...Sorry. I'm not mad at you," The grappler tried to assure her, looking away awkwardly. She understood the girl's hesitation. "I just normally sound like this." Vivi briefly glanced back at Daniel. "At least he won't bug you anymore."
"Aah... Y-Yeah..." The girl nodded again, still uneasy. She glanced around, then gave Vivi a quick polite bow of the head. "I... I should get going!" She managed to not stammer. "Th-thanks for the help!" The girl squeaked before running off. As her form grew smaller, she stopped, turned around, and yelled "That was pretty cool, though!" before taking off again and vanishing into the distance.
Vivi sighed as the girl ran off. She had no doubt that she was off putting to the girl... She knew she wasn't exactly all sunshine and roses, but it was saddened her that she was quick to scare away others who seemed kind. She was also still interested in whatever lines that girl was rehearsing earlier, but... Well, Vivi could only shrug to herself. It just wasn't to be.
She glanced back at Daniel again, her eyes narrowing in annoyance for a second before turning away and attempting to walk off. He had a desire to fight, and she fulfilled it. As far as she could see, she no longer had any business with him.

As Vivi hurt him once more, Daniel came to a conclusion that would have been logical to most any man. However, said conclusion wasn't suited for a pg-13 audience, so, instead of vocalizing it, he elected to merely hop to his feet when the little wrestler decided to let him go. He prepared himself for a suckerpunch, just in case. He even had a witty little one liner ready for if she did try just such a thing
Imagine his disappointment when she instead chose to talk to some nerd!
Well, no matter. Daniel wasn't jealous...much. Instead, he took the opportunity to sneak back to the bush that he had hidden in, and pulled out his metal guitar case that he had left there. "That was a good fight!" he called to her as she glared back at him, "We outta do it again sometime! You'll bring the pow! pow! SUBMISSION! and I'll bring the Bang! Bang! HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE!? Sound good?" he asked, making exaggerated motions with his case to show off the implied strengths each side was bringing to the table.

Viveka stared. Her answer was flat and deadpan.
"No."
She turned away again and left at a brisk pace, refusing to give him more of a response. He was mocking her. He had to be mocking her. No one could possibly be that enthusiastic about getting into a fight... especially after she managed to outwrestle him. Perhaps he was just toying with her. That had to be it, she convinced herself. She had faced her fair share of foes, many of which were larger men who underestimated her or went easy on her. Yet, the second they all realized she could hold her ground, their so-called good natured jests would quickly grow sour, and she would be forced to endure the same tired accusations and profanities about being lesser or cheating or... somehow using her" feminine wiles" that she was painfully aware did not exist. Daniel, he said his name was, was no exception. Granted, his accusations were tamer than most, but... he was probably a sore loser like the rest of them. He just hid it well, she decided.
She would not trust this man.

Daniel, however, would, could, and did trust this man. After all, who wouldn't trust such a good, merciful, handsome man such as Daniel? Someone misguided, surely.
"Whaaaat? Why not? Why wouldn't you wanna fight a man such as me again? Heck, I didn't even go full hog this go 'round! You should see me when I really let loose. Lemme tell you: groupies as far as the eye can see. That's pretty far, by the way, especially when you're as amazing as I am." Had he known what Vivi was concerned about, he might have done...probably nothing about that. After all, if you had to change who you were to get a great fight, then was it really worth it? Yes, but it was also too much work, so why bother when you could just pester?
"Tell you what. How about I just find you at some point, and fight you? Think of it like...oh! Like a side mission in a game, only you can't avoid it! That'd be fun, right? Right. I'm always right!"

Vivi side eyed him for a second before rolling her eyes. "Good luck trying to do that in a city full of this many people..." She grumbled. She had actually neglected to outright say "no" to him, but Vivi assumed the odds of him finding her again were slim anyway. "And then what?" She continued dryly. "Do you plan to fight with that?" She vaguely motioned to the comically oversized guitar case in Daniel's hands. It was a sarcastic question, but it allowed her to bring up another point, nonetheless. "Do you plan to fight with that?" Vivi sneered. "Because I fight barehanded." She paused. "As in, I fight fair."

"Look, Vivs, you think I'd have a hard time finding you, but you don't know how bored one guy can get when you got nothin' but a part time job, and saving the world one petty criminal at a time, can get. It's pretty bored, I tells ya. I'll find you! I never forget a good fight!" Daniel said with a smug grin, seeming to take a strange amount of pride in his people finding skills, or perhaps his boredom.
"And as for ol' case-y here, I always take my darlin' to a fight. It's a good time! Keeps me from using too much of my strength, lets me do some neato 'lemme fling myself around like a madman' moves, and, and you and I know, it looks cooler. Besides, if we're talking about what's fair, I seem to remember a certain little fighter named Vivi deciding to start off our little encounter with a sneak attack. Which Fighter named Vivi? was that...?" He seemed like he legitimately did not know the answer for a moment. "Oh yeah! That fighter named Vivi was you, Ms. Vivi! You just hopped out of nowhere and attacked! No warning, no honor, no decorum, no common decency!" With hand to forehead, Daniel seemed purely devastated by the horrific actions of the woman. "And that's the way it's meant to be, if you ask me! People worry too much about what's fair and what's not, y'know? Like, is it fair to hold a man in a lock like you did near the end? There's probably arguments both ways, but why do we care? It's a fight, and we fight. All is fair in love and war, right? Don't shackle yourself for no reason, yeah?" As he gave his little speech, he played with his guitar case a little. Tossing it into the air and catching it, transfering it behind his back, bobbling it a little. Idle movements, though it seemed more impressive than it was considering the thing's obvious weight.
